Investigated is the problem of estimating the 3 D shape of an object defined by a set of 3 D landmarks with their 2 D correspondences in a single image. To solve this problem, we use a dictionary of the basic shape with LDD-L1 regularization,which is the construction of the shape space model. Based on the proposed convex optimization method, 3 D human pose reconstruction by shape space model and 3 D variable shape model was carried out on the mocap database. To improve accuracy and reduce the number of iterations, we use PSO algorithm to optimize initial value of the key parameter. The experimental results show that the improved algorithm exhibits less iterations but higher accuracy, which can be much helpful in practical applications.

The federated ecology provides a new paradigm for breaking the isolated data island problem and fully activating the potential of big data and artificial intelligence, especially in multi-client collaboration tasks. Participant selection strategy in multi-client collaboration is the main limitation for increasing the convergence speed and lowing the communication costs. However, in the face of the unbalanced and non-IID data distributions, the performance of federated optimization algorithms will also decrease. To solve the above problems, we propose an adaptive federated control strategy for participant selection in multi-client collaboration based on the Mann-Kendall test, named FedMK. By adaptively selecting weak participants for training rather than random selection, FedMK can speed up model convergence and reduce communication costs. Experiment results show that our method outperforms the baseline method in non-IID scenarios, and the number of communication rounds on CIFAR-10 and synthetic datasets reduced by more than 15% and 10 %,9 respectively.

The visualization of an object image is directly affected by the spectral power distribution of the illuminated light source. In addition, the quality and the clarity of an object image can be evaluated by the color entropy value. Therefore, in order to obtain higher color entropy value of the target object image, a visual enhancement method is proposed by optimizing the spectral of the illumination. The optimal light source spectrum of the target image is obtained by the maximum color entropy, and the spectral reflectance of the object is obtained by the reconstruction method of the RBF neural network. The images under the optimal illumination source were compared with those of other commercial white light sources (6774K, 5000K, 2700K, 3000K,). High-speed impact simulation test is an important test method to study the fatigue properties or limit parameters of materials. With the advantages of great impact energy, good program control and convenient test operation, hydraulic impact is widely used in high-speed impact field. A hydraulic high speed impact simulation system is designed in this paper, which uses high pressure accumulator to supply oil and converts hydraulic energy into impact energy through servo valve controlled cylinder system. This system can simulate dynamic change process of impact velocity and acceleration of projectile, and has impact angle adjustment and end buffer function. First, the composition and working principle of this hydraulic impact simulation system is introduced, as well as the analysis of the hydraulic impact mechanism. Second, the system dynamics model of servo valve controlled cylinder based on accumulator oil is built, and the simplified model and its basic characteristics are analyzed. Then, the Influences of various parameters in impact dynamic model on impact process are also discussed. Finally, the simulation system and physical prototype system of hydraulic impact is presented, the simulation and actual impact test data and corresponding analysis conclusions are also given. © 2019 IEEE.

Effective influential spreaders prediction in online social networks is critical for a variety of network services such as viral marketing, online recommendation, and many more. The conventional machine learning methods mainly adopted various hand-crafted features in the prediction models. However, their effectiveness relies on the domain knowledge heavily, and thus it is difficult to generalize these models to different domains. In this paper, we propose an Influence Deep Learning (IDL) model to learn users' latent feature representation for predicting influence spread. Our IDL model is fully data-driven, and it takes sampling subnetworks as input to the deep neural networks for learning users' latent vector representation. Moreover, we design a strategy to incorporate user-specific features and network structure into the graph convolutional neural network to overcome the imbalance problem of labeled training data. The experimental results show that our model outperforms other baselines in online social networks, and our model is more practical in large-scale data sets.

Torque-ripples in a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) deteriorate control precision. This paper presents a method of attenuating such a kind of a torque-ripple based on the combination of the equivalent-input-disturbance (EID) and the sliding-mode control (SMC). While a low gain of an SMC system avoids chattering phenomenon, the robustness of the system is not satisfied. The EID estimator is incorporated in the system to solve this problem. The effectiveness of the combination of the EID approach and the SMC has been verified by simulations. A comparison with the conventional SMC method demonstrates the priority of the presented method.

In order to improve the accuracy of diagnosis and the effectiveness of treatment on chronic diseases, a parallel medical diagnostic and treatment system for chronic diseases is proposed in this paper. The system consists of the artificial system, computational experiments and parallel execution. Generally, the actual medical system includes real doctors, real patients, and the process of real doctors diagnosing and creating a treatment plan. Based on the components in actual medical system, the virtual doctors and virtual patients are created in artificial system. The computational experiments are to exhaustively explore and evaluate reasonable diagnoses and treatment options, so that the most accurate diagnosis and the best treatment plan are configured. The parallel execution between the artificial and the actual system includes the interaction between virtual doctors and real doctors as well as that between the virtual patients and actual patients. The parallel execution, on the doctors' end, is to ensure the precise diagnosis of diseases and the effectiveness of the treatment plan. On the other hand, the parallel execution, on the patients' end, is to provide patients with more personal guidance on following the treatment and to assist sending feedback to the system regarding the treatment effectiveness. As the chronic diseases generally require a long-term treatment, this parallel system can better accommodate the process by continuously monitoring the treatment and sending feedback to the model so as to actively optimize the treatment plan.

Pro-UIGAN: Progressive Face Hallucination from Occluded Thumbnails

In this paper, we study the task of hallucinating an authentic high-resolution (HR) face from an occluded thumbnail. We propose a multi-stage Progressive Upsampling and Inpainting Generative Adversarial Network, dubbed Pro-UIGAN, which exploits facial geometry priors to replenish and upsample (8×) the occluded and tiny faces (16×16 pixels). Pro-UIGAN iteratively (1) estimates facial geometry priors for low-resolution (LR) faces and (2) acquires non-occluded HR face images under the guidance of the estimated priors. Our multi-stage hallucination network upsamples and inpaints occluded LR faces via a coarse-to-fine fashion, significantly reducing undesirable artifacts and blurriness. Specifically, we design a novel cross-modal attention module for facial priors estimation, in which an input face and its landmark features are formulated as queries and keys, respectively. Such a design encourages joint feature learning across the input facial and landmark features, and deep feature correspondences will be discovered by attention. Thus, facial appearance features and facial geometry priors are learned in a mutually beneficial manner. Extensive experiments show that our Pro-UIGAN attains visually pleasing completed HR faces, thus facilitating downstream tasks, i.e., face alignment, face parsing, face recognition as well as expression classification. To achieve accurate and robust object detection in the real-world scenario, various forms of images are incorporated, such as color, thermal, depth, etc. However, multi-modal data often suffer from the position shift problem, i.e. the image pair is not strictly aligned, making one object has different positions in different modalities. For the deep learning method, this problem makes it difficult to fuse multi-modal features and puzzles the CNN training. In this paper, we propose a general multi-modal detector named Aligned Region CNN (AR-CNN) to tackle the position shift problem. Firstly, a region feature alignment module with adjacent similarity constraint is designed to consistently predict the position shift between two modalities and adaptively align the cross-modal region features. Secondly, we propose a novel RoI jitter strategy to improve the robustness to unexpected shift patterns. Thirdly, we present a new multi-modal feature fusion method, which selects the more reliable feature and suppresses the less useful one via feature re-weighting. Additionally, by locating bounding boxes in both modalities and building their relationships, we provide novel multi-modal labelling named KAIST-Paired. Extensive experiments on 2D and 3D object detection, RGB-T and RGB-D datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of our method. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

A joint mid-course and terminal course cooperative guidance law for multi-missile salvo attack

Salvo attacking a surface target by multiple missiles is an effective tactic to enhance the lethality and penetrate the defense system. However, existing cooperative guidance laws in the midcourse or terminal course are not suitable for long-and medium-range missiles or stand-off attacking. Because the initial conditions of cooperative terminal guidance that are generally generated from the mid-course flight may not lead to a successful cooperative terminal guidance without proper mid-course flight adjustment. Meanwhile, cooperative guidance in the mid-course cannot solely guarantee the accuracy of a simultaneous arrival of multiple missiles. Therefore, a joint mid-course and terminal course cooperative guidance law is developed. By building a distinct leader-follower framework, this paper proposes an efficient coordinated Dubins path planning method to synchronize the arrival time of all engaged missiles in the mid-course flight. The planned flight can generate proper initial conditions for cooperative terminal guidance, and also benefit an earliest simultaneous arrival. In the terminal course, an existing cooperative proportional navigation guidance law guides all the engaged missiles to arrive at a target accurately and *** integrated guidance law for an intuitive application is summarized. Simulations demonstrate that the proposed method can generate fast and accurate salvo attack.
