A joint mid-course and terminal course cooperative guidance law for multi-missile salvo attack

Salvo attacking a surface target by multiple missiles is an effective tactic to enhance the lethality and penetrate the defense system. However, existing cooperative guidance laws in the midcourse or terminal course are not suitable for long-and medium-range missiles or stand-off attacking. Because the initial conditions of cooperative terminal guidance that are generally generated from the mid-course flight may not lead to a successful cooperative terminal guidance without proper mid-course flight adjustment. Meanwhile, cooperative guidance in the mid-course cannot solely guarantee the accuracy of a simultaneous arrival of multiple missiles. Therefore, a joint mid-course and terminal course cooperative guidance law is developed. By building a distinct leader-follower framework, this paper proposes an efficient coordinated Dubins path planning method to synchronize the arrival time of all engaged missiles in the mid-course flight. The planned flight can generate proper initial conditions for cooperative terminal guidance, and also benefit an earliest simultaneous arrival. In the terminal course, an existing cooperative proportional navigation guidance law guides all the engaged missiles to arrive at a target accurately and *** integrated guidance law for an intuitive application is summarized. Simulations demonstrate that the proposed method can generate fast and accurate salvo attack.

The four-step transportation model plays an important role in urban planning. The quality of the first phase, i.e. trip generation, determines the performance of the global course. The majority of trip generation forecasting models highly rely on mathematical derivation and have many predictor variables during the prediction, which leads to low accuracy of results and requires laboriously hand-crafted design of input vectors. This paper is the first to introduce the gradient boosting decision tree (GBDT) algorithm for trip generation prediction, and harmonizes such a powerful machine learning method with traditional urban planning requirements to achieve better prediction performance. Unlike the commonly used linear regression method, GBDT can automatically perform feature selection and model the non-linear relationships between input and output variables. Experimental results on real-world residential travel census in Beijing prove that the GBDT model significantly outperforms the baseline and can forecast the trip generation more accurately.

Drilling system software is crucial for the complex geological drilling process due to its vital role in improving the drilling efficiency and safety. In this paper, a Model-View-controller(MVC) pattern-based software framework and data architecture of an intelligent drilling system are proposed. First, four main functional requirements, namely, data fusion and visualization, safety assessment and efficiency calculation, efficiency and safety optimization, and coordination control have been analyzed. After that, a four-layers is established based on the above analysis and MVC pattern. Finally, a new online data architecture has been presented at the end of this paper. The proposed software framework and data architecture form a basis for the monitoring of the drilling process.

With the development of industrialized building and intelligence technology, it becomes necessary and possible to realize building process intelligence management. In recent years, digital twins and parallel management get more and more attentions in academic research and industrial applications. This paper addresses how parallel building system performs intelligence management on industrialized building process. Firstly, actual building model and artificial building model are created according to actual building system. Then business driving engine and simulation engine drive actual building model and artificial building model, respectively. Participants receive and send messages by software interfaces. Business driving engine changes the status of actual building model and sends the changes to simulation engine. Simulation engine updates the status of artificial building model and runs artificial building model with various parameters. Then it sends the parameter with the best effect to business driving engine. Business driving engine sends recommendations to participants according to the best parameter. Thus, building process intelligence management is achieved.

Dynamic Security Assessment of Small-Signal Stability for Power systems using Windowed Online Gaussian Process

Due to the evolving nature of power grids and model uncertainty, the online stability assessment of electrical power systems is always a challenging problem. This paper aims to provide a theoretical framework for estimating the region of attraction for power systems in real time. By analyzing and learning the measurement data in a given time duration, a windowed online Gaussian process (GP) approach is developed to provide the real-time security assessment and quantify the uncertainty caused by measurement errors and dynamic evolution of power systems. In addition, the theoretical analysis is conducted to ensure the conference level of the estimated region of attraction. Finally, numerical simulations are implemented on a microgrid model with 9 buses and 3 generators to validate the proposed approach. The proposed online assessment approach contributes to improving the situational awareness of human operators, thereby taking remedial actions before the emergency. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. The complex geological drilling process is full of uncertain factors because of the invisibility of the bottom hole. The factors cause the problems of trajectory control and condition monitoring. In order to solve these problems, an intelligent control system is designed for complex geological drilling process by taking the XD-35 DB electric-drive rig as a study case. At first,the hardware structure of the rig is described in detail, and the working mechanism is analyzed. Then, based on its working mechanism, an intelligent control system is designed, which includes the basic automation layer and the intelligent control *** intelligent control layer is designed from three aspects: intelligent optimization of drilling trajectory, tracking control of drilling trajectory, and condition monitoring of the drilling process. The intelligent control system provides a feasible solution to improving drilling efficiency and ensuring drilling safety.

This paper is concerned with design of a deviation correction control system for vertical drilling process. Notice that only inclination angle is considered by traditional deviation correction systems, which may cause that the drilling trajectory extends around the wellhead's plumb line or gets away from the line. In this paper, focusing on the drilling trajectory itself, a deviation correction control scheme is provided to improve the vertical precision of the vertical drilling while maintaining small inclination angles. A hybrid modeling method for establishing the trajectory extension model and a model predictive control strategy based on the model are integrated in the scheme. It is expected that the phenomenon of spiral-like drilling trajectory can be attenuated by our control system over the traditional ones.

Augmented reality technology is a research hotspot in the field of computer vision in recent years. Tracking registration technology determines the performance of augmented reality systems. The accuracy of tracking registration directly affects the users experience. Therefore, the research of tracking registration technology is of great significance. In this paper, augmented reality and its core tracking registration technology are introduced firstly. Then, the visual tracking registration method based on marker and natural features are elaborated, and the more advanced visual SLAM-based tracking registration method in recent years is summarized. Evacuation leaders and/or equipment provide route and exit information for people and guide them to the expected destinations, which could make crowd evacuation more efficient in case of emergency. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of recent advances in guided crowd evacuation. Different guided crowd evacuation approaches are classified according to guidance approaches and technologies. A comprehensive analysis and comparison of crowd evacuation with static signage, dynamic signage, trained leader, mobile devices, mobile robot and wireless sensor networks are presented based on a single guidance mode perspective. In addition, the different evacuation guidance systems that use high-tech means such as advanced intelligent monitoring techniques, AI techniques, computer technology and intelligent inducing algorithms are reviewed from a system’s perspective. Future researches in the area of crowd evacuation are also discussed.
