In this paper, sparsification techniques aided online prediction algorithms in a reproducing kernel Hilbert space are studied for nonstationary time series. The online prediction algorithms as usual consist of the selection of kernel structure parameters and the kernel weight vector updating. For structure parameters, the kernel dictionary is selected by some sparsification techniques with online selective modeling criteria, and moreover the kernel covariance matrix is intermittently optimized in the light of the covariance matrix adaptation evolution strategy (CMA-ES). Optimizing the real symmetric covariance matrix can not only improve the kernel structure's flexibility by the cross relatedness of the input variables, but also partly alleviate the prediction uncertainty caused by the kernel dictionary selection for nonstationary time series. In order to sufficiently capture the underlying dynamic characteristics in prediction-error time series, a generalized optimization strategy is designed to construct the kernel dictionary sequentially in multiple kernel connection modes. The generalized optimization strategy provides a more self-contained way to construct the entire kernel connections, which enhances the ability to adaptively track the changing dynamic characteristics. Parallel manufacturing in Industry 5.0 requires digital twin to digitize physical systems, building virtual models to open up channels connecting physical systems, information systems, and social systems, and transforming the physical models of the existing production environment to achieve two-way feedback of virtual and real is the current research direction. This paper proposes the modeling idea of lightweight digital twin, extracts core dimensions and performs digital virtual simulation, so as to quickly realize the complete process of two-way feedback, and realize a set of chess flexible parallel manufacturing production lines as a practice for the design of complete lightweight digital twin.

In order to improve the accuracy of short-term power load forecasting, an algorithm that simultaneously optimizes SVR parameters and optimizes the selection of input features is proposed. Firstly, the input features are selected by BP neural network. In order to avoid the influence of the randomness of the initial weights and thresholds on the optimization, the GA algorithm is used to optimize the weights and thresholds. Secondly, using GA algorithm to optimize the parameters of support vector regression, a short-term load forecasting model based on GA-BPNN-SVR optimization algorithm is obtained. Finally, the GA-BPNN-SVR model is applied to practical short-term power load forecasting, and the forecasting effect is compared with that of GA-SVM and BPNN-SVR models. The results show that the average absolute percentage error obtained by this method is only 1.74%, which is 1.64% and 3.11% lower than the average absolute percentage error obtained with GA-SVM model and BPNN-SVR. Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) plays an important role in autonomous navigation for mobile robots. Most of the visual SLAM approaches use keypoints for tracking, whose performance however suffers from the unstable landmarks during task due to uncertain light condition and frequently changeable viewpoint. The situation even becomes worse for visual SLAM in low texture environment especially in indoor buildings, where the supplementary artificial markers can be used to improve the robust detection under a wider range of circumstances. Inspired by this thought, this paper developed a visual SLAM system integrated with keypoints and artificial markers. A graph optimization problem is constructed to optimize the trajectory by taking both the reprojection error of keypoints and the influence of markers into consideration. The experimental results on SPM dataset demonstrate the superior accuracy of the proposed graph optimization algorithm compared with the start-of-the-art ORB-SLAM2.

An overview of sensing platform-technological aspects for vector magnetic measurement: A case study of the application in different scenarios

Magnetic sensing platform techniques have been used in many years in an attempt to better evaluate the likelihood of recoverable hydrocarbon reservoirs by determining the depth and pattern of sedimentary rock formations containing magnetic minerals, such as magnetite. Utilizing airplanes, large-area magnetic surveys have been conducted to estimate, for example, the depth of igneous rock and the thickness of sedimentary rock formations. In this case, the vector magnetic survey method can simultaneously obtain the modulus and direction information of the Earth's magnetic field, which can effectively reduce the multiplicity on data inversion, contribute to the quantitative interpretation of the magnetic body and obtain more precise information and characteristics of magnetic field resource, so as to improve the detection resolution and positioning accuracy of the underground target body. This paper presents a state-of-the-art review of the application situations, the technical features, and the development of the vector magnetic sensing platform-technical aspects for different application scenarios, i.e., ground, wells, marine, airborne, and satellites, respectively. The potential of multi-survey sensing platform technique fusion for magnetic field detection is also discussed. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this paper, the fault detection problem has been investigated for networked singularly perturbed systems with time delays under the stochastic communication protocol (SCP). To avoid/alleviate the undesired data collisions, the SCP is introduced to schedule the data transmissions, under which the sensor nodes obtain access to the communication network according to a stochastic sequence with a known probability distribution. Our aim is to design a fault detection filter (FDF) such that, for all external disturbances and the transmitted measurements under the SCP, the error between the residual and the fault is made as small as possible. Based on the discrete Wirtinger-based inequality, a sufficient condition in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) is derived, which guarantees the existence of the desired FDF for any singular perturbation parameter belonging to a predefined interval. When these LMIs are feasible, the parameters of the desired FDF are explicitly given. Periodic event-triggered output regulation for linear multi-agent systems

This study considers the problem of periodic event-triggered (PET) cooperative output regulation for a class of linear multi-agent systems. The advantage of the PET output regulation is that the data transmission and triggered condition are only needed to be monitored at discrete sampling instants. It is assumed that only a small number of agents can have access to the system matrix and states of the leader. Meanwhile, the PET mechanism is considered not only in the communication between various agents, but also in the sensorto-controller and controller-to-actuator transmission channels for each agent. The above problem set-up will bring some challenges to the controller design and stability analysis. Based on a novel PET distributed observer, a PET dynamic output feedback control method is developed for each follower. Compared with the existing works, our method can naturally exclude the Zeno behavior, and the inter-event time becomes multiples of the sampling period. Furthermore, for every follower, the minimum inter-event time can be determined a prior, and computed directly without the knowledge of the leader information. The self-oscillating loop is an important part of the optically pumped cesium magnetometer, and its working characteristics directly determine the accurate measurement of external magnetic field. The design of the self-oscillating loop has been discussed in this paper, including a signal conditioning circuit, a phase shifter and a frequency meter. It can be used to precisely improve the accuracy of resonance signal in a wide range of frequencies from 50 kHz to 350 kHz. The relative error of our system is less than 0.5×10−6 and it has a good prospect in the optically pumped cesium magnetometer.

The Prediction of the Epidemic Trend of COVID-19 Using Neural Networks

In this paper, a BP neural network and an LSTM network are applied respectively to the prediction of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Wuhan, China and South Korea. The methods do not require specific theories of modelling and the predicted values can be obtained as long as the conventional parameters are set. The mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of all the experiments are below 5% and the values of the determinable coefficient R are all larger than 0.9. The experiments show that the models can fit the actual values well and make relatively accurate predictions. As of March 29, 2020, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Wuhan is expected to reach 50,068 using BP neural networks and 49,972 using LSTM network, respectively. As of April 13, 2020, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in South Korea is expected to reach 8,862 using BP neural networks and 8,716 using LSTM network, respectively. The models of neural networks are effective in predicting the trend of the COVID-19 epidemic, which is meaningful to prevent and control the epidemic.

High-density resistivity meter is a common instrument used in shallow geophysical exploration. At present, the structure of the centralized high-density resistivity meter is bulky, while the distributed instrument needs more than 7 core cables, and the long measuring line needs to relay power supply to the intelligent electrode to provide enough voltage, so it is not convenient to use in the field. Aiming at the above problems, a new type of distributed high-density meter is developed, which can realize the power supply, communication, and measurement functions of distributed high-density meter and carry out multi-channel measurement through the time-division multiplexing of a two-wire cable and the short-time power supply of supercapacitor. Finally, the performance of the instrument was verified by experiments.
