We consider minimizing a sum of non-smooth objective functions with set constraints in a distributed manner. As to this problem, we propose a distributed algorithm with an exponential convergence rate for the first time. By the exact penalty method, we reformulate the problem equivalently as a standard distributed one without consensus constraints. Then we design a distributed projected subgradient algorithm with the help of differential inclusions. Furthermore, we show that the algorithm converges to the optimal solution exponentially for strongly convex objective functions. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The non-smooth finite-sum minimization is a fundamental problem in machine learning. This paper develops a distributed stochastic proximal-gradient algorithm with random reshuffling to solve the finite-sum minimization over time-varying multi-agent networks. The objective function is a sum of differentiable convex functions and non-smooth regularization. Each agent in the network updates local variables by local information exchange and cooperates to seek an optimal solution. We prove that local variable estimates generated by the proposed algorithm achieve consensus and are attracted to a neighborhood of the optimal solution with an (formula presented) convergence rate, where T is the total number of iterations. Finally, some comparative simulations are provided to verify the convergence performance of the proposed algorithm. © 2021, CC BY.

In recent years, novel collaborative production paradigms, such as (re-)distributed manufacturing and social manufacturing, have attracted intensive attention due to their potential of further changing the existing manufacturing modes and industrial structures. Blockchain, as a new distributed computing architecture, is expected to be successfully used in manufacturing, and help solve issues related to interoperability and collaboration, security and supervision, marketization and protocol, democratic organization and global value chain governance, and so on. In this paper, a blockchain-based framework for collaborative production is proposed, aiming at providing novel ideas for the design, implementation and optimization of collaborative production, and also inspiring the upgrading and transformation of manufacturing industries. © 2019 IEEE.

In view of the disadvantages of Traditional tandem joint type thin-plate palletizing robots using push-down adsorption sorting, such as moving path complexity, large occupied space, joint error stack and low end control precision, a novel multi-link mechanism thin-plate palletizing robot is developed. The kinematics analysis is carried out based on the analysis of the overall structure for the manipulator, a genetic algorithm based on the stroke speed ratio K, the transmission angle γ and the four-bar size is proposed to realize the optimal design of the four-link rocker arm mechanism. Secondly, a finite element based overall structure analysis method is proposed, which obtains the most affected part of the vibration process of a manipulator and performs load verification to prevent early warning and reference of faults caused by mechanical resonance. To solve the control problem of nonlinear strongly coupled dynamic systems, an iterative learning fuzzy adaptive control algorithm is proposed to achieve the smooth running of the manipulator and the high-precision tracking of the end centroid trajectory. The experimental results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed multi-link controllable thin-plate palletizing manipulator's overall structural design and iterative learning control method, which is well applied in practical engineering. © 2020, CC BY.

With the continuing innovation of information and network technologies, on the one hand, social media has gradually become a necessary tool for internal communication within the organization, resulting in great changes in the behavioral patterns of employees;on the other hand, emerging technologies such as blockchain and smart contracts have enlightened many outstanding issues in organizational management, such as opaque data, tamable information and incomplete execution. Responding to the impact of new media on organizational management model, combined with the emerging technologies - blockchain and smart contracts, this paper aims to explore the behavioral management model of employees for trusted data within virtual cyberspace. It is devoted to the description modeling of employees' behavior and the guidance of employees' behavior based on smart contracts. We also validate our proposed method in a real-world scenario, and the experimental results prove our analysis, as well as the effectiveness of our approach. This paper is a basic research in the new application field, and is expected to offer helpful guidance and reference for future research efforts and industrial applications. © 2019 IEEE.

In RTB advertising, the AdExchange platform (AdX) can be regarded as a bridge connecting the supply side and demand side of advertising, and advertisers buy the ad impressions through the Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs). As such, there is a two-stage auction process for each ad impression, and the first stage is organized by the DSPs, while the second stage is organized by the AdX. In the two-stage auction process, two possible revenue models are available for DSPs, namely commission model and two-stage resale model. In this paper, we first compare the revenues of DSPs under the two models, and then explore the optimal revenue model for a DSP under the condition that the revenue model of other DSPs are given. We also unitize the computational experiments approach to evaluate our proposed method, and our results can help DSPs find their optimal revenue model in RTB advertising. © 2019 IEEE.

With the booming installed capacity of permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) for wind energy generation, the grid becomes weaker and the oscillation events are frequently observed in weak-grid-tied large-scale grid-connected PMSG wind farms. Although the impedance-based method is effective to analyze the stability of grid-connected systems, the mathematical relationship between external impedance characteristics and the internal controllers has not been quantitatively analyzed in depth, which is beneficial to the controller design. This paper studies the influence of phase-locked loop (PLL) on the impedance characteristics based on the analytical sequence impedance model of PMSG with typical topology and control structure. The shaping effect of PLL on the impedance characteristics is described so as to clearly describe the relationship between the external impedance characteristics of the wind turbines and the internal controller. Finally, the stability analysis of the grid-connected PMSG wind turbine system is provided in Matlab and simulation results are given to verify the oscillating mechanism caused by PLL. © 2020 IEEE.

Visual reasoning between visual image and natural language description is a long-standing challenge in computer vision. While recent approaches offer a great promise by compositionality or relational computing, most of them are oppressed by the challenge of training with datasets containing only a limited number of images with ground-truth texts. Besides, it is extremely time-consuming and difficult to build a larger dataset by annotating millions of images with text descriptions that may very likely lead to a biased model. Inspired by the majority success of webly supervised learning, we utilize readily-available web images with its noisy annotations for learning a robust representation. Our key idea is to presume on web images and corresponding tags along with fully annotated datasets in learning with knowledge embedding. We present a two-stage approach for the task that can augment knowledge through an effective embedding model with weakly supervised web data. This approach learns not only knowledge-based embeddings derived from key-value memory networks to make joint and full use of textual and visual information but also exploits the knowledge to improve the performance with knowledge-based representation learning for applying other general reasoning tasks. Experimental results on two benchmarks show that the proposed approach significantly improves performance compared with the state-of-the-art methods and guarantees the robustness of our model against visual reasoning tasks and other reasoning tasks.

This paper focuses on the study of fractional order terminal sliding mode control for nonlinear aerospace systems. Firstly, a novel fractional order integral terminal sliding mode control (FO-I-TSMC) method is proposed for the control of first order nonlinear system. FO-I-TSMC has three attractive advantages: i) Non-singular control law; ii) Elimination of the reaching phase; iii) Calculable finite convergence time. Furthermore, theory analysis is presented to reveal the potential advantages of the FO-I-TSMC method over its integer order counterparts. Secondly, a novel fractional order derivative integral-TSMC (FO-DI-TSMC) method is presented to deal with second order nonlinear system. Finally, FO-DI-TSMC is extended to deal with a general class of higher order control system. Simulation results are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

3D human face modeling is one of the most popular research directions in the field of computer stereo vision. On the one hand, the complex physiological structure of human face as well as various expressions and attitude changes bring great challenges to three-dimensional modeling, which makes the modeling method of human face have high research value and reference significance. On the other hand, 3D face reconstruction has a broad application prospect, and the application demand attracts more researchers to invest in it. Based on the 3DMM and 3DDFA method, this paper utilizes regression neural network to realize end-to-end face reconstruction. After that, we build a visualization program with the training model to realize face modeling based on a single face image of any pose or expression. It’s a 3D face reconstruction system which has functions such as face alignment, face rotation and so on.
