This paper proposes a fast search method of algebraic codebook in CELP coders. In the proposed method, the sequence of codebook search is reordered according to the criterion of mean squared weighted error between target vector and filtered adaptive codebook vector, and the algebraic codebook is searched until a predetermined threshold is satisfied. This method reduces the computations considerably compared with G.729 at the expense of a slight degradation of speech quality. Moreover, it gives better speech quality with smaller average search space than G.729A.

Sentiment analysis often relies on a semantic orientation lexicon of positive and negative words. A number of approaches have been proposed for creating such lexicons, but they tend to be computationally expensive, and usually rely on significant manual annotation and large corpora. Most of these methods use WordNet. In contrast, we propose a simple approach to generate a high-coverage semantic orientation lexicon, which includes both individual words and multi-word expressions, using only a Roget-like thesaurus and a handful of affixes. Further, the lexicon has properties that support the Polyanna Hypothesis. Using the General Inquirer as gold standard, we show that our lexicon has 14 percentage points more correct entries than the leading WordNet-based high-coverage lexicon (SentiWordNet). In an extrinsic evaluation, we obtain significantly higher performance in determining phrase polarity using our thesaurus-based lexicon than with any other. Additionally, we explore the use of visualization techniques to gain insight into the our algorithm beyond the evaluations mentioned above.

LED algorithm is a new lightweight encryption algorithm proposed in CHES 2011, which is used for IOT to protect the communication security of RFID tags and smart cards. It has been found that it is possible to retrieve secret key of algorithm by appropriate analysis of the devices' s power consumption,and the differential power analysis is the most powerful attack. This paper proposed a method of differential power analysis on LED algorithm. Combined with hardware circuit, it designed and implemented differential power analysis of the LED encryption system. The experimental results show that method which is proposed in this paper was cracked the 64 bits key of LED. Thus,without protection, the cipher LED would be difficult to resist differential power analysis. and according this, We provide a general analysis method of differential power analysis on other lightweight cryptographic algorithms.

Augmented reality technology has been widely used in experimental education. Augmented reality provides virtual-real integration, real-Time interaction and three-dimensional immersion, which provides a new development direction for simulating the teaching environment and promoting learning interaction. We have developed an MR experiment of diluting concentrated sulfuric acid, which helps students learn experimental manipulations and scientific concepts before conducting real chemical experiments. Virtual experiments can avoid the risks of real chemical experiments and reduce the waste of chemical materials. At the same time, we correctly render the occlusion relationship between the hand, the beaker and the virtual liquid, providing a realistic experimental effect. The tracking of multiple cameras allows students to interact more naturally. We compared the availability and students' attitudes of three virtual experiments about diluting concentrated sulfuric acid. The results show that the usability of the MR experimental system reaches the level of user satisfaction. The realistic visual effects and natural interaction method of the MR experiment have been recognized by the students. © 2022 IEEE.

Remote Attestation (RA) is a security service by which a Verifier (Vrf) can verify the platform state of a remote Prover (Prv). However, in most existing RA schemes, the Prv might be vulnerable to denial of service (DoS) attacks due to the interactive challenge-response methodology while there is no authentication about the challenge. Worse, many schemes cannot effectively detect mobile malware that can be inactive during the on-demand attestation launched by the Vrf. In this paper, we propose a self-measurement RA for SGX-based platforms, which can effectively mitigate DoS attacks and defend against mobile malware. To this end, a two-way identity authentication is first enforced between the Prv and Vrf with the help of a blockchain system, in which a shared session key is also generated. Secondly, trigger conditions of measurements on the Prv's side are time points generated by the Prv self instead of Vrf's requests. The Vrf can retrieve multiple self-measurement results during one execution of the protocol to monitor the Prv's platform over a period of time continuously, which can detect mobile malware effectively. Our scheme utilizes SGX to provide the runtime protection for sensitive information such as session key, self-measurement code, time points of self-measurements, and self-measurement results, making a higher security guarantee. In addition, the session key, time points of self-measurements, and self-measurement code can be changed or upgraded, making our scheme more flexible and scalable. The simulation implementation and results show that our scheme is feasible and practical. © 2022 IEEE.

Today, system identification plays a pivotal role in control science and offering a myriad of applications. This paper places its focus on the identification of actuator models within real-world delta robots for informing controller design. Two identification methods, namely NN-ARX and ARMAX, have been employed to extract the dynamic characteristics of the robot actuators, resulting in dynamic models of these integral components being derived. These dynamic models have been utilized in simulations for controller design, and due to the disparities in the identification models, distinct controllers have been realized. Subsequently, these controllers have been practically implemented on delta robots, and their performances have been subjected to a comprehensive comparative analysis. The results demonstrate that controllers integrating the identified actuator models outperformed those designed without the incorporation of the identification models. In practice, the implementation of controllers based on NN-ARX yielded the most favorable results among all the tested controllers. This research not only underscores the importance of accurate actuator models in control system design but also highlights the superior performance of neural network-based controllers in real-world robotic applications. In particular, the practical results of NN-ARX-based controllers were able to achieve significantly lower RMSE of 2.3562, 1.9531, and 2.1185 for the three motors, respectively, as opposed to the 4.1369, 3.0125, and 3.0363 achieved by the ARMAX-based controllers.

Model driven development method for interactive information visualization

Wide-Spread deployment for interactive information visualization is difficult. Non-Specialist users need a general development method and a toolkit to support the generic data structures suited to tree, network and multi-dimensional data, special visualization techniques and interaction techniques, and well-known generic information tasks. This paper presents a model driven development method for interactive information visualization. First, an interactive information visualization interface model (IIVM) is proposed. Then, the development method for interactive information visualization based on IIVM is presented. The Daisy toolkit is introduced, which includes Daisy model builder, Daisy IIV generator and runtime framework with Daisy library. Finally, an application example is given. Experimental results show that Daisy can provide a general solution for development for interactive information visualization.

An efficient digital ink data coding algorithm IWPHSP (integer wavelet packet based hierarchical set partitioned) is proposed in this paper. The algorithm compresses digital ink multi-dimension data losslessly using three approaches: integer wavelet packet transform, hierarchical set partitioned, significant bits combination code and fast adaptive arithmetic code. The experiments show that the IWPHSP algorithm is efficient.

Approach to tracking deformable hand gesture for real-time interaction

The tracking of deformable hand gesture is a very important task in vision-based HCI (human-computer interaction) research. A novel real-time tracking approach is proposed to capture the motion of deformable hand gesture with single camera. The proposed approach uses a set of 2D hand models in place of high-dimensional 3D model. It achieves auto-initialization by firstly using Bayesian classifier to do posture recognition, and then locating fingers and fingertips to fit image features to recognized posture. It solves the problem of interference among fingers during tracking successfully by the integration of K-means clustering and particle filter. Moreover, a state checking process is embedded into tracking method, and it realizes resumption from tracking failure and update of hand models automatically. Experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve continuous real-time tracking of deformable hand gesture with high precision, and thus it can meet the requirements from real-time vision-based human-computer interaction.

Following the great improvement in interaction devices and software technologies, lots of novel interaction technologies which are based on Post-WIMP user interface are studied. It is crucial that the designer chooses the interaction component or the interaction technology properly and efficiently to adapt to the various interaction devices and environments in the user interface designing. According to the analysis of the interaction process and the design level of the Post-WIMP user interface, an interaction-Centered Hierarchical Post-WIMP User Interface Model is presented. It is described and analyzed from the aspects of the user, task, device, behaviors and entity in interaction. Moreover, a Post-WIMP user interface auto-generate tool is designed and implemented based on the model, to help the designers to insert those novel interaction technologies into the system flexibly, and to develop and evaluate the prototype quickly and efficiently. Experiments show that, the model can guide the process of user interface design, the implement of prototype, and the evaluation of the result of design.
