Unlike healthy, non-transformed cells, the proteostasis network of cancer cells is taxed to produce proteins involved in tumor development. Cancer cells have a higher dependency on molecular chaperones to maintain proteostasis. The chaperonin T-complex protein ring complex(TRiC) contains eight paralogous subunits(CCT1-8), and assists the folding of as many as 10% of cytosolic *** is essential for the progression of some cancers, but the roles of TRiC subunits in osteosarcoma remain to be explored. Here, we show that CCT4/TRiC is significantly correlated in human osteosarcoma,and plays a critical role in osteosarcoma cell survival. We identify a compound anticarin-β that can specifically bind to and inhibit CCT4. Anticarin-β shows higher selectivity in cancer cells than in normal cells. Mechanistically, anticarin-β potently impedes CCT4-mediated STAT3 maturation. Anticarin-β displays remarkable antitumor efficacy in orthotopic and patient-derived xenograft models of ***, our data uncover a key role of CCT4 in osteosarcoma, and propose a promising treatment strategy for osteosarcoma by disrupting CCT4 and proteostasis.

Designing signal transmission matrix for MIMO systems-A recursive approach

Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output technique with multiple antennas are deployed to improve the signal to noise ratio and throughput of a traditional wireless communication system. It is essential to have the insight to signal transmit strategies known as block codes for transmitting signals through the multiple antennas to explore the enormous potential of multiple antenna concepts. Space-time block codes are one of the most straightforward and most widely used strategies for signal transmission. Space-time block codes have been designed for MIMO systems with two, four, and eight antennas to achieve full data rate at optimized orthogonality. With the reduced antenna size, a more significant number of antennas can be implanted on the devices to enhance throughput. Signal transmission matrix designs are required for a large number of antennas. In this paper recursive technique as been proposed for deducing signal transmission matrix using space-time block codes for MIMO systems with 2n antennas where n ≥ 2. The signal transmission matrix thus obtained can help in implementing MIMO systems in vehicle-to-vehicle communication, where a large number of antennas can be mounted on vehicles to obtain better throughput and signal to noise ratio.

Organophosphate flame retardants (OPFRs) are extensively used as flame retardants and plasticizers and have drawn concern due to their endocrine disruptive potentials. However, the impacts of OPFR exposure on reproductive and thyroid hormones have not been well clarified for females. In this study, serum concentrations of OPFRs were investigated, and levels of reproductive and thyroid hormones, including follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone, estradiol, anti-Müllerian hormone, prolactin (PRL), testosterone (T), and thyroid stimulating hormone, were analyzed in childbearing-age females from Tianjin, a coastal city in China (n=319). Tris(2-chloroethyl) phosphate (TCEP) was the predominant OPFR and the median concentration was 0.33 ng/mL with a detection frequency of 96.6%. Worldwide, locust outbreaks frequently impact large areas of land and millions of people. Remote sensing has emerged as one of the most essential data sources for effectively identifying and assessing damaged crops and its yields. This study assesses crop damage caused by the 2019–20 upsurge of the desert locust in several Indian states using multisource satellite data (MODIS, VIIRS, and Sentinel-2). The cropland covers approximately 74% of the study area, with Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh having more than 89% of their land dedicated to agriculture. During the locust upsurge from May to July 2020, about 48,669 km 2 of crop area (4.6%) was damaged in India. Maharashtra was the hardest hit, with over 10% of its cropland affected. Madhya Pradesh saw 4–6.75% of damage, while Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat each experienced around 3–5% crop loss. The analysis found that Leaf Area Index (LAI) data provided more accurate damage estimates than the Fraction of Photosynthetically Active Radiation (FPAR), which often included non-damaged areas. High-risk zones were identified in Eastern Maharashtra, Central Madhya Pradesh, and Central and Southern Uttar Pradesh leading to loss of Gross Primary Productivity (GPP) up to 100 g C/m 2 and crop yields by 500 kg/ha. These identified areas need targeted locust control measures to protect crop losses, supporting food security and sustainability.

We report the first laboratory and interstellar detection of the α-cyano vinyl radical (H2CCCN). This species was produced in the laboratory by an electric discharge of a gas mixture of vinyl cyanide, CH2CHCN, and Ne, and its rotational spectrum was characterized using a Balle-Flygare narrowband-type Fourier-transform microwave spectrometer operating in the frequency region of 8-40 GHz. The observed spectrum shows a complex structure due to tunneling splittings between two torsional sublevels of the ground vibronic state, 0+ and 0−, derived from a large-amplitude inversion motion. In addition, the presence of two equivalent hydrogen nuclei makes necessary to discern between ortho- and para-H2CCCN. A least squares analysis reproduces the observed transition frequencies with a standard deviation of ca. 3 kHz. Using the laboratory predictions, this radical is detected in the cold dark cloud TMC-1 using the Yebes 40m telescope and the QUIJOTE1 line survey. The 40,4-30,3 and 50,5-40,4 rotational transitions, composed of several hyperfine components, were observed in the 31.0-50.4 GHz range. Adopting a rotational temperature of 6 K we derive a column density of (1.4±0.2)×1011 cm−2 and (1.1±0.2)×1011 cm−2 for ortho-H2CCCN and para-H2CCCN, respectively. The reactions C + CH3CN, and perhaps also N + CH2CCH, emerge as the most likely routes to H2CCCN in TMC-1. © 2023, CC BY.

The unprecedented outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), during early December 2019 in Wuhan, China, has quickly evolved into a global pandemic, became a matter of grave concern, and placed government agencies worldwide in a precarious position. The scarcity of resources and lack of experiences to endure the COVID-19 pandemic, combined with the fear of future consequences has established the need for adoption of emerging and future technologies to address the upcoming challenges. Since the last five months, the amount of pandemic impact has reached its pinnacle that is altering everyone's life;and humans are now bound to adopt safe ways to survive under the risk of being affected. Technological advances are now accelerating faster than ever before to stay ahead of the consequences and acquire new capabilities to build a safer world. Thus, there is a rising need to unfold the power of emerging, future and disruptive technologies to explore all possible ways to fight against COVID-19. In this article, we attempt to study all emerging, future, and disruptive technologies that can be utilized to mitigate the impact of COVID-19. Building on background insights, detailed technological specific use cases to fight against COVID-19 have been discussed in terms of their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT). As concluding remarks, we highlight prioritized research areas and upcoming opportunities to blur the lines between the physical, digital, and biological domain-specific challenges and also illuminate collaborative research directions for moving towards a post-COVID-19 world. © 2020, CC BY.

Due to extensive industrialization, fluctuating technologies, and an overgrowing population a colossal amount of hazardous effluent is generated every moment and discharged directly into the environment. This crude wastewater can contaminate the environment and food cycle; causing serious damage not only to the ecosystem but also to public health. Therefore, it is critical to treat this wastewater by improving an ecological and economical technology before discharging/reusing. However, researchers are exasperating to improve an efficient and effective technology for the refinement of the bulky industrial wastewater. Here, some state-of-the-art production techniques of the FC-CNC bionanosorbents have been proposed for the effective purification of bulky effluent via a continuous adsorption system. This technology is superior to other methods due to its lower cost, higher efficiency, innovative and beneficial nature, and high selectivity. Instead, the precursors (cellulose and clay) are more available, nontoxic, ecofriendly, biodegradable, thermally and mechanically stable, and have shown high surface area, porous structure, possessed substantial active binding sites that could have been busting their adsorption performances. Still there are several complications concerning the effective processing/modification of the main precursors, production techniques, mechanism, and mode of application while purifying the crude wastewater. Henceforth, this review paper would be devoted by concentrating the modification process, advance production methods, synergistic mechanism to support the mono and/or multilayer physisorption, chemisorption, diffusion/deep penetration, and mode of application addressing the bulky wastewater treatment. By discovering the gaps and suggesting impending instructions, this study aims to expand the fabrication, categorization, and application of the FC-CNC bionanoadsorbents.

Purpose Experience learning has become a trend in educational activities in Taiwan. All colleges and universities offer experiential learning in for-credit courses, and have applied it in educational practice and academics. This study is an exploration of experiential education. Enhancing students’ character through experience is a mode in which educational organizations are operating. The sharing of game teaching plans is an inspiration for students' character education. Because experiential learning provides a positive teaching strategy, learners can reflect on life and the environment through the personal experience, learn the educational training methods accumulated by knowledge, and improve their ability. The learners understanding and emotions gained from personal experience and reflection, because the life experience is transformed after the reflection of the learning process, providing the re-use of knowledge, forming a life experience, and re-reflecting the transformation of the learning process, and improving the level of knowledge application. And once again form a life experience for learners. Effective teaching should encourage learners to reflect experience and build a learning environment. College graduates are about to enter the workplace. Therefore, it is necessary to cultivate this group of future leaders. How to give students have the conviction to face the changes in the future environment is the core concept of this research. This study will focus on the construction of a character belief index in vocational education. Through experiential education for teaching method, teachers cultivate the research tools of the character belief index that the college students can take, and clarify the connotation and type of its indicators. Social media plays a crucial role in modern healthcare by promoting patient engagement, facilitating communication among professionals, and serving as a platform for health education and outreach. Its significance in healthcare delivery continues to grow as digital communication becomes increasingly integral to the industry’s efforts to improve healthcare outcomes. Nonetheless, existing studies have not adequately and empirically explored its impact in less digitalized economies. Thus, this study seeks to investigate the impact of social media on healthcare delivery systems in a less digitalized economic context. Leveraging the social media engagement theory, the study employs a partial least squares (PLS-SEM) approach to explore the impact of social media in Ghana’s healthcare system. Based on a purposely selected sample of 457 healthcare professionals from Ghana, the study found that using social media for crisis management, patient-doctor relationships, and information dissemination positively impacts healthcare systems. On the contrary, social media use for public relations activities did not have any significant impact on healthcare delivery. This study contributes to the growing literature on the affordances of social media in the circular economy towards improved healthcare delivery in emerging economies. The study offers a strategy for optimizing the use of social media within healthcare settings to foster enhanced healthcare outcomes, particularly a less digitalized economies.
