A Method for Fast Feature Selection Utilizing Cross-Similarity within the Context of Fuzzy Relations

Feature selection methods rooted in rough sets confront two notable limitations:their high computa-tional complexity and sensitivity to noise,rendering them impractical for managing large-scale and noisy *** primary issue stems from these methods’undue reliance on all *** overcome these challenges,we introduce the concept of cross-similarity grounded in a robust fuzzy relation and design a rapid and robust feature selection ***,we construct a robust fuzzy relation by introducing a truncation ***,based on this fuzzy relation,we propose the concept of cross-similarity,which emphasizes the sample-to-sample similarity relations that uniquely determine feature importance,rather than considering all such relations *** studying the manifestations and properties of cross-similarity across different fuzzy granularities,we propose a forward greedy feature selection algorithm that leverages cross-similarity as the foundation for information *** algorithm significantly reduces the time complexity from O(m2n2)to O(mn2).Experimental findings reveal that the average runtime of five state-of-the-art comparison algorithms is roughly 3.7 times longer than our algorithm,while our algorithm achieves an average accuracy that surpasses those of the five comparison algorithms by approximately 3.52%.This underscores the effectiveness of our *** paper paves the way for applying feature selection algorithms grounded in fuzzy rough sets to large-scale gene datasets.

Rational molecular design of P-doped porous carbon material for the VOCs adsorption

The objective of this study was to identify and synthesize functional groups for the efficient adsorption of volatile organic compounds（VOCs） through a combination of theoretical calculations,molecular design,and experimental *** density functional theory（DFT） calculation,focusing on the P-containing functional groups,showed that methanol adsorption was dominated by the electrostatic interaction between the carbon surface and methanol,while toluene was mainly trapped through π-π dispersive interaction between toluene molecule and functional group *** experimental results showed the phosphorus-doped carbon materials（PCAC） prepared by directly activating potassium phytate had a phosphorus content of up to 4.5%（atom）,mainly in the form of C—O—P（O）(OH)*** material exhibited a high specific area(987.6 m2·g-1) and a large adsorption capacity for methanol(440.0 mg·g-1) and toluene(350.1 mg·g-1).These properties were superior to those of the specific commercial activated carbon（CAC）sample used for comparison in this *** adsorption efficiencies per unit specific surface area of PCAC were 0.45 mg·g-1m2for methanol and 0.35 mg·g-1·m-2for *** study provided a novel theoretical and experimental framework for the molecular design of polarized elements to enhance the adsorption of polar gases,offering significant advancements over existing commercial solutions.

With the increase of enterprise informatisation, database security and compliance operation management have become increasingly important. Therefore, it is essential to design an efficient database proxy approval system. In this paper, we develop a database proxy approval system based on the MySQL protocol for fortress machines, which provides a real-time customised configuration scheme for high-risk commands, designs a real-time approval process for six types of high-risk commands, and creates a simple and efficient matching algorithm for high-risk commands. We designed a large number of experiments to test the system’s connection success rate, operation stability, response time, CPU resource consumption, matching algorithm performance, and other aspects. The experimental results show that this database proxy approval system has good configuration flexibility, high accuracy, and good time performance. This system has a wide range of applications in electric power, finance, petroleum, and other fields. © 2025 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

FORECASTING SHORT-TERM PASSENGER FLOW ON A BUS ROUTE: A SPLITTING–INTEGRATING METHOD BASED ON PASSENGER TRAVEL BEHAVIOR

Short-term passenger flow forecasting is the key to implement real-time dynamic dispatching of buses, which can meet the travel time requirement of passengers with different attributes. In practice, it is difficult to obtain passenger attribute information due to the restriction of bus information systems or other conditions. This article proposes a new perspective on identifying passenger attribute information, that is, the correlation between the bus card number and the travel time is used to analyse passenger travel behaviour. Then using the travel frequency as the splitting boundary, the passenger set is split into different types of subsets, which are predicted by different methods. The total forecast values are obtained by integration, so as to explore the effectiveness of the passenger attribute identification and splitting–integrating method. The result shows that: (1) compared with the forecasting method without considering the passenger travel behaviour, the performance of splitting–integrating method is better, and the passenger attribute identification method is effective;(2) the value of the splitting boundary will affect the size and consistency of the subset, and the optimal value can be sought according to forecast results;(3) different types of subsets should be treated by different forecasting models and combination paths. © 2025 The Author.

Spatiotemporal deformation analysis of glaciers and surrounding landscapes in the Shishapangma region using InSAR techniques

Glacier dynamics in the Himalayan midlatitudes,particularly in regions like the Shishapangma,are not yet fully understood,especially the localized topographic and climatic impacts on glacier *** study analyzes the spatiotemporal characteristics of glacier surface deformation in the Shishapangma region using the Small Baseline Subset(SBAS)Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar(In SAR)*** analysis reveals an average deformation rate of-4.02±17.65 mm/yr across the entire study area,with glacier regions exhibiting significantly higher rates of uplift(16.87±13.20 mm/yr)and subsidence(20.11±14.55 mm/yr)compared to non-glacier *** identifies significant surface lowering on the mountain flanks and localized uplift in certain catchments,emphasizing the higher deformation rates in glacial areas compared to non-glacial *** found a strong positive correlation between temperature and cumulative deformation(correlation coefficient of 0.63),particularly in glacier areas(0.82).The research highlights the role of temperature as the primary driver of glacier wastage,particularly at lower elevations,with strong correlations found between temperature and cumulative *** also indicates the complex interactions between topographic features,notably,slope gradient,which shows a positive correlation with subsidence rates,especially for slopes below 35°.South-,southwest-,and west-facing slopes exhibit significant uplift,while north-,northeast-,and east-facing slopes predominantly ***,we identified transition zones between debris-covered glaciers and clean ice as areas of most intense deformation,with average rates exceeding 30 mm/yr,highlighting these as potential high-risk zones for *** study comprehensively analyzes the deformation characteristics in both glacier and non-glacier areas in the Shishapangma region,revealing the complex interplay of topographic,climatic,and hydrological factors influencing glacier dynamic

Due to their high-entropy effects,the high-entropy(HE)MAX-phase materials improve the comprehen-sive performance of MAX phases,opening up more possibilities for practical engineering ***,it is still challenging to obtain S-containing high-entropy MAX phases because of the high volatilization behavior of sulfur,suffering from issues such as high reaction temperature and long re-action time of traditional synthesis *** paper proposes a novel process named as liquid metal assistant self-propagating high-temperature synthesis(LMA-SHS)for efficient synthesis of high-purity S-containing high-entropy MAX-phase ***-melting-point metal(Sn or In)has been introduced into the raw mixture and melted into a liquid phase during the early stage of the SHS *** serv-ing as a"binder"between transition metal atoms of the M-site due to the negative mixing enthalpy,this liquid phase can accelerate mass and heat transfer during the SHS process,ensuring a uniform solid solution of each element and realizing the synthesis of high-purity(TiNbVZr)2SC in an extremely short *** synthesis method for high-entropy MAX-phase materials developed in this study,i.e.,LMA-SHS,showing very short reaction time,low energy consumption,high yield,and low cost,has the promise to be a general energy-and resource-efficient route towards high-purity HE materials.

Green transportation is the object of transportation in the future, and reducing energy consumed in transportation is of great significance to sustainable development of the society. This paper mainly studies the impact of line slope between stations on the energy consumed by the train. The paper starts with description of typical line conditions between stations. Three control modes: traction, coasting and braking are considered in the process of train running. Based on these, the basic dynamic model of the train running energy consumption, and the corresponding energy-saving operation algorithm are set. Then, in the presumption that the distance between stations of urban rail transit is 3 km, energy consumption curve of the train and the corresponding velocity curve distribution of different slope and slope length are analyzed, and the optimal combination between station section line slope and train energy-saving operation was obtained. The study of charging choice for electric vehicle holds significant importance for the promotion of new energy vehicles, the realization of energy saving and emission reduction. Based on one month's global positioning system data of electric vehicles, this study segments the daily usage behaviors of electric vehicles. It identifies the starting and ending points of trips and extracts the instantaneous state information of vehicles at trip endpoints. This information is used as independent variables for electric vehicle charging choice, with the presence of charging at trip endpoints as the dependent variable. A binary Logit model is employed to establish a model analyzing the charging choice behavior at the endpoints of electric vehicle trips. The model's parameters are then estimated and tested. The results indicate that the state of charge, cumulative mileage, and time significantly impact the charging choice of electric vehicle at trip endpoints. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu.
