The Audio-Visual Speaker Extraction (AVSE) algorithm employs parallel video recording to leverage two visual cues, namely speaker identity and synchronization, to enhance performance compared to audio-only algorithms. However, the visual front-end in AVSE is often derived from a pre-trained model or end-to-end trained, making it unclear which visual cue contributes more to the speaker extraction performance. This raises the question of how to better utilize visual cues. To address this issue, we propose two training strategies that decouple the learning of the two visual cues. Our experimental results demonstrate that both visual cues are useful, with the synchronization cue having a higher impact. We introduce a more explainable model, the Decoupled Audio-Visual Speaker Extraction (DAVSE) model, which leverages both visual cues. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

There are plenty of issues need to be solved before the practi-cal application of Li-and Mn-rich cathodes,including the detrimental voltage decay and mediocre rate capability,*** doping can e ectively solve the above problems,but cause the loss of *** introduction of appropriate defects can compensate the capacity loss;however,it will lead to structural mismatch and stress ***,a three-in-one method that combines cation–polyanion co-doping,defect construction,and stress engineering is *** co-doped Na^(+)/SO_(4)^(2-)can stabilize the layer framework and enhance the capacity and voltage *** induced defects would activate more reac-tion sites and promote the electrochemical ***,the unique alternately distributed defect bands and crystal bands structure can alleviate the stress accumulation caused by changes of cell parameters upon ***,the modified sample retains a capacity of 273 mAh g^(-1)with a high-capacity retention of 94.1%after 100 cycles at 0.2 C,and 152 mAh g^(-1)after 1000 cycles at 2 C,the corresponding voltage attenuation is less than 0.907 mV per cycle.

After the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, online teaching has gradually emerged as an indispensable component of education. Despite its convenience, online education lacks the immediate interactive experience inherent in traditional classrooms. This paper presents a meticulously designed DS-YOLOv8 network model, specifically tailored for real-time recognition of students raising their hands under cameras. On our proprietary dataset, this network model exhibits exceptional accuracy in hand-raising detection, showcasing a 1.3% improvement in the AP50 index compared to the baseline YOLOv8 model. Our focus lies on the application of hand-raising detection within online classrooms with an objective to provide enhanced support for teachers by promptly identifying students raising their hands and thereby improving teaching efficiency while enriching the interactive experience of students in virtual learning environments.

Soybean is one of the most important oil crops, and Argentina is the third-largest soybean producer in the world, accounting for 17% of the global soybean yield. Timely and accurate information on soybean spatial distribution is critical for ensuring global food security. Sentinel-2 multispectral data and machine learning classification models are used to investigate the potential of soybean identification in the early stage of the growing season in Argentina, with the help of Google Earth Engine (GEE). The earliest time window and optimal feature set for soybean identification are explored. Results are as follows: 1) the random forest (RF) classification model demonstrated the highest level of classification accuracy compared to the backpropagation neural network (BPNN), support vector machine (SVM), and naive Bayes (NB) models;2) Soybean can be accurately identified as early as the end of February (filling stage), which is approximately one month before harvest;3) The optimal feature-subset can reduce the amount of input data by 80% while maintaining high classification accuracy. The overall accuracy (OA) of the RF classification model is 85.87%, and the relative error between the estimated soybean planting area and the agricultural statistics is 3.45%. This study provided a high-precision method for early-season identification of soybeans over large scales. The results can provide a data support for early futures trading and agricultural insurance, as well as a reference for policy-making to ensure global soybean food security.

Mathematical formulas are ubiquitous in courses such as Machine Learning. Understanding these formulas is the primary challenge for studying of students. If a searchable knowledge base can be built for these formulas, it will help students learn. Accurate identification of these formulas is an important step in building and querying the knowledge base. However, mathematical formulas have complex two-dimensional and nested structures, which makes them inconvenient to search like ordinary text. This paper employs Faster R-CNN to detect regions containing mathematical formulas and improves its backbone network, anchor box dimensions, and pre-training network to make it more accurate and efficient in identifing these formulas. Furthermore, in order to enhance the features and meaningful representation of mathematical formulas in the input image, we introduce the distance transformation. Finally, comparative experiments were conducted on the publicly dataset GTDB. Our proposed approach achieved recognition rates of 91.22% and 85.74% for isolated and hybrid formulas detection.

Modeling and Simulation of Indirect Reciprocity Based Cooperative Lane-Changing at the Intersection in Connected Vehicle Environment

Mandatory lane-changing before an intersection is a behaviour that reduces traffic efficiency. The problem stems from the conflict between the spatial-temporal urgency of changing lanes and the uncooperative will of lagging vehicles for their own traffic efficiency. This paper presents a modelling and simulation study of an intersection cooperative lane-changing problem based on indirect reciprocity in a connected vehicle environment. Based on the high-precision trajectory data of the intersection, a lane-changing trajectory identification method based on lane-changing rules and clustering is proposed. Thus, a multi-scene spatial-temporal portrait of the intersection lane change is established. By characterizing four typical spatial-temporal scenarios near-side of intersection lane change, an evolutionary game model of intersection cooperative lane change considering indirect reciprocity is developed. Then, we proposed a cooperative lane changing strategy and reinforcement learning algorithm at intersections based on indirect reciprocity. The strategy is a two-player game strategy used in the lane-changing game. The algorithm improves the Bellman equation in the traditional Q-learning algorithm. On this basis, we established an intersection cooperative lane-changing model and conduct simulation experiments based on NetLogo. Simulation results show that this cooperative lane-changing mechanism has a positive effect on improving the probability of driver cooperation, lane-changing efficiency, traffic efficiency, and the stability of passage time and delay. Especially under high traffic density, the improvement effect is obvious. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) tomography (TomoSAR) has attracted remarkable interest for its ability in achieving three-dimensional reconstruction along the elevation direction from multiple observations. In recent years, compressed sensing (CS) technique has been introduced into TomoSAR considering for its super-resolution ability with limited samples. Whereas, the CS-based methods suffer from several drawbacks, including weak noise resistance, high computational complexity and complex parameter fine-tuning. Among the different CS algorithms, iterative soft-thresholding algorithm (ISTA) is widely used as a robust reconstruction approach, however, the parameters in the ISTA are manually chosen, which usually requires a time-consuming fine-tuning process to achieve the best performance. Aiming at efficient TomoSAR imaging, a novel sparse unfolding network named analytic learned ISTA (ALISTA) is proposed towards the TomoSAR imaging problem in this paper, and the key parameters of ISTA are learned from training data via deep learning to avoid complex parameter fine-tuning and significantly relieves the training burden. In addition, experiments verify that it is feasible to use traditional CS algorithms as training labels, which provides a tangible supervised training method to achieve better 3D reconstruction performance even in the absence of labeled data in real applications. © 2022 IET Conference Proceedings. The zenith tropospheric delay（ZTD） obtained by global navigation satellite system（GNSS） atmospheric sounding is a pivotal data source for water vapor monitoring. Meteorological changes in Antarctica play an important role in analysis of the global climate, but factors such as complex climatic conditions can limit the collection of meteorological data needed for ZTD retrieval. Therefore, it is necessary to establish high-precision ZTD models that do not rely on measured meteorological data. The existing global pressure and temperature 3（GPT3） model has limited ability to capture complex weather variations and cannot obtain high-precision GPT3TD. To address the above issues, this research proposes a high-precision ZTD model through using temporal convolutional network（TCN） for improving the hourly global pressure and temperature 2（HGPT2） model. The HGTP2 model based on Fourier analysis and the time-segmentation concept can consider the linear trend of climate variations, simultaneously the TCN is introduced to simulate the long-term temporal dependence of HGPT2TD, so as to achieve the goal of obtaining high-precision ZTD without relying on measured meteorological data. The experimental results show that the precision of TCNTD obtained from the proposed model is higher than GPT3TD and HGPT2TD when using the GNSSTD observations obtained from 35 stations in Antarctica as a reference, and the improvement of the model is obvious.

The main objective of incomplete multi-view clustering is to effectively utilize the existing view information to fill in the missing data and to mine the complementary information and potential associations between multiple views to effectively group samples. The existing primary means for recovering missing information are classified into two parts: one uses matrix decomposition or low-rank constraints to fill in the missing views, and the other constructs multiple graph structures and uses graph regularization to recover the corresponding missing parts. However, the two methods are relatively independent and are not used jointly to improve the model performance. This paper proposes an incomplete multi-view clustering method with complete clustering metrics and complete anchor graphs (CFAG). Specifically, each view’s missing samples are recovered by a matrix of consistent clustering metrics and represented by an anchor graph. The recovered complete data performs anchor graph construction and anchor learning and utilizes the orthogonal variation principle to learn the consistency structure of multiple anchor graphs to mine the complementary information among multiple views. The clustering metrics are obtained based on the consistency structure, and the consistency of the clustering metrics is also considered to obtain the final clustering results. In solving multi-modal multi-objective optimization problems (MMOPs), objective and decision space changes need to be considered. However, many multi-modal multi-objective evolutionary algorithms (MMOEAs) tend to prioritize diversity in the objective space during the optimization process, often leading to suboptimal diversity and distribution in the decision space. This study proposes the Dynamic-Niche-Based Two-Stage Evolution (DNTE) approach to address this issue. DNTE employs differential evolutionary strategies in two stages, utilizing dynamic niche to enhance solution viability and optimize decision space distribution at different phases. In the first stage, the dynamic niche is used to restrict the dominance range of Pareto domination. In contrast, in the second stage, it is integrated with differential evolution to refine the distribution of the decision space. Combining DNTE with DN-NSGA-II enhances the capability of solving MMOPs and demonstrates superior performance compared to other evolutionary algorithms on MMF and MMMOP benchmark functions. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
