A new general network model for two complex networks with time-varying delay coupling is presented. Then we investigate its synchronization phenomena. The two complex networks of the model differ in dynamic nodes, the number of nodes and the coupling connections. By using adaptive controllers, a synchronization criterion is derived. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained synchronization criterion. This study may widen the application range of synchronization, such as in chaotic secure communication.

This paper presents a parallel artificial immune model termed as tower master-slave model (TMSM) for solving optimising problems. Based on TMSM, the parallel immune memory clonal selection algorithm (PIMCSA) is also proposed. TMSM is a two level coarse-grained parallel artificial immune model with distributed immune response and distributed immune memory. In PIMCSA, vaccines are extracted and migrated between populations rather than individual migration as has been done in parallel genetic algorithms. It is a good balance between population diversity and the convergent speed. Experimental results on the numerical optimization and TSP problems show that PIMCSA achieves good performance in terms of both solution quality and computation time.

But some items in the Profile are not very suitable for describing a requester's demands while some important information about the requester himself such as his identity which may play important role in precondition match are not considered in the Service Profile. In this paper we define an OWL compatible Request Profile ontology especially for service requesters to describe their special properties and their expectation about a service. Then a match algorithm is proposed to match service request described in Request Profile with service advertise described in Service Profile. This paper presents an effective method to detect small and dim infrared image target under complex background, which is performed in spatial domain. Roughly speaking, the new method contains two steps. The first step is further divided into two steps (called difference between maximum and minimum filters, DMMFs): firstly, an original image is filtered by maximum (max) and minimum (min) filters based on the considering max filter can enhance the target and preserve the background while min filter can eliminate the target and also preserve the background;and then the difference between these two results is obtained, therefore the target is enhanced and its background is suppressed at the same time. To obtain an accurate location of the target, the second step called post processing involves local feature mapping and projecting techniques. This DMMF method focuses on reducing the cost of computation, tracking the target in real-time, enhancing the SNR, and suppressing its background clutter. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is effective and practical.
