Performance analysis of UAV-based mixed underwater PLC-RF systems

In this study,we analyzed the performance of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)-based mixed Underwater Power Line Communication-Radio Frequency(UPLC-RF)*** this network,a buoy located at the sea is used as a relay to transmit signals from the underwater signal source to the UAV through the PLC *** assume that the UPLC channel obeys a log-normal distribution and that the RF link follows the Rician *** this model,we obtained the closed-form expressions for the Outage Probability(OP),Average Bit-error-rate(ABER),and Average Channel Capacity(ACC).In addition,the asymptotic analysis of the OP and ABER was performed,and an upper bound for the average capacity was ***,the analytical results were verified by Monte Carlo simulation thereby demonstrating the effect of impulse noise and the altitude of the UAV on network performance.

With the increase of enterprise informatisation, database security and compliance operation management have become increasingly important. Therefore, it is essential to design an efficient database proxy approval system. In this paper, we develop a database proxy approval system based on the MySQL protocol for fortress machines, which provides a real-time customised configuration scheme for high-risk commands, designs a real-time approval process for six types of high-risk commands, and creates a simple and efficient matching algorithm for high-risk commands. We designed a large number of experiments to test the system’s connection success rate, operation stability, response time, CPU resource consumption, matching algorithm performance, and other aspects. The experimental results show that this database proxy approval system has good configuration flexibility, high accuracy, and good time performance. This system has a wide range of applications in electric power, finance, petroleum, and other fields. © 2025 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Recently, with the increasing complexity of agricultural systems and climate change, agricultural pest and disease surveillance and early detection have become critical tasks for guaranteeing food stability and promoting sustainable farming growth. Agricultural pest and disease surveillance is a key component of agricultural production, directly affecting crop yield and quality. As big data advances and image processing technologies rapidly, their application in crop pest and disease surveillance has become increasingly widespread. By integrating multi-source data, such as remote sensing data, meteorological data, ecological data, and pest and disease survey data, researchers can build more accurate and efficient pest and disease surveillance models. This paper reviews the research progress of big data and image processing technologies in crop pest and disease surveillance, analyzes the advantages and challenges of current technologies, and proposes future research directions to enhance the automation and intelligence of systems. Additionally, it discusses the integration of deep learning and other techniques to achieve efficient information mining and accurate retrieval of disaster-related data, aiming to provide scientific guidance and technical support for agricultural production. © 2024 IEEE.

This study examines ways to create personalized learning pathways that are influenced by large collaborative models and multi-modal knowledge graphs. By integrating multi-modal data to construct a comprehensive knowledge network, this study utilizes the generative and comprehension capabilities of large models to achieve personalized customization of learning resources. The focus of the research is on accurately depicting learner characteristics through multi-modal profiling techniques, ensuring the transparency and credibility of the content generated by large models. The personalized learning route suggestion model proposed in this paper includes two parts: recommendations for learning paths within courses and recommendations for learning paths within learning tasks, aiming to enhance learning efficiency and outcomes through the collaborative effects of multi-modal knowledge graphs and large models. Experimental results indicate that the learning path recommendation model driven by multi-modal knowledge graphs and large collaborative models performs excellently in improving learning outcomes and recommendation performance. © 2024 IEEE.

To address the issue of water surface garbage pollution, a new energy-powered intelligent water surface garbage recycling boat has been designed. The intelligent water surface garbage recycling boat takes the STM32F103 single-chip microcontroller as the core control unit. And it integrates some modules such as visual recognition, Beidou/GPS dual-mode positioning, and millimeter-wave radar. The unit module design method and the collaborative working mechanism of each module effectively guarantee the realization of the functions of the intelligent water surface garbage recycling boat. Specifically, the motor driving module ensures the normal running and steering of the water surface garbage recycling boat. Besides, the visual module facilitates garbage recycling and intelligent classification on the water surface. Moreover, the Beidou positioning module is utilized not only for daily navigation of intelligent fixed-point garbage recycling, but also for the recovery and utilization of solar and wind energy from all directions. In addition, the millimeter-wave radar on the hull can ensure the safe travelling of the garbage recycling boat comprehensively. The boat designed in this paper exhibits the characteristics of low energy consumption, high performance, and energy conservation and emission reduction. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, a selection underwater power line communication (UPLC) and hybrid free-space optical/radio frequency (FSO/RF) system is studied, where the connection between the UPLC link and the hybrid FSO/RF link is through a decode-and-forward (DF) relay. More specifically, we assume that the hybrid system transmits the same data with the same data rate over both links simultaneously. New closed-form expressions for the outage probability (OP), the average bit-error-rate (ABER), and the average channel capacity (ACC) are derived for the system. Finally, simulation results are provided to verify our analytical results. © 2024 IEEE.

Real-time student classroom action recognition allows the creation of a closed-loop teaching system and efficient teaching methods. To address the issue of a lack of open dataset in the SCAR re- search field, we proposed a challenging dataset SCAR-dataset with a total of 7194 samples, which was collected in college classrooms and after exploratory experiments. The dataset were defined into six categories: focused, head_drop, bored_distraction, looking_around, sleeping, and stand_up. We benchmarked the SCAR dataset for real-time deployment using YOLOv5, YOLOv7, and YOLOv8 algorithms, which served as the foundation for subsequent classroom concentration analysis research. By combining depth-separable convolution, a lightweight asymmetric detector head LADH was proposed. Experiments show that improving the Yolov8n model increases the map value by 2.5 points while don't in- creasing the number of parameters and Gflops. © 2023 ACM.

During the operation of the power grid, cables may be damaged by harmful factors such as aging, corrosion, and external forces, leading to cable breakage. Cable breakage can cause adverse consequences such as power outages and personal injury. The existing cable joint connection methods have more or less defects such as being unsuitable for frequent disassembly and assembly, high installation technology requirements, inability to be used for a long time, inability to connect multiple cables simultaneously, and high maintenance costs. Therefore, they have not been widely produced and used. In response to the limitations of existing cable joint connection methods, this paper designs a new type of prefabricated positive and negative tooth power cable joint. While effectively ensuring the electrical performance required by the cable joint, the cable joint is more tightly connected. It is customized for factory production and can be directly carried to the maintenance site for installation in case of cable failure. The repair cost is low, which not only improves the reliability of the cable joint but also reduces maintenance time, Reduced maintenance costs and construction difficulty. © 2023 ACM.

Based on scale space division and sparse PCA (Principal Component Analysis) method, the scale that can represent the maximum information of point cloud is set as the representative scale value of the point cloud, so as to complete the initial scale matching between point clouds. The relationship between normal vectors of 3D points is used to achieve scale invariance, and the concept of histogram is combined to enhance the robustness of 3D feature extraction algorithm in the process of point cloud matching. The experimental results show that this method uses many algorithms to optimize, and its convergence speed is faster than ICP (Iterative Closest Point) method. For point clouds with different overlapping degrees, the registration time and convergence error of this algorithm are obviously lower than those of the contrast algorithm. The algorithm in this paper converges quickly and has high registration accuracy when the overlap rate is low and the initial position is quite different, which proves the robustness of the algorithm in this paper. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

On this basis, multi-scale feature extraction method is adopted to realize real-time cloud matching of 3D point clouds. In this project, multi-scale Harris corner is used to extract feature points of object edges, and LR (Lagrangian relaxation) is introduced through KD tree to improve the speed of point cloud matching. LR solution involves solving the difference equation, which is very suitable for FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) devices containing a large number of sequential logic circuit units. Based on FPGA, the point cloud data is effectively accelerated by combining software and hardware. The results show that the repeatability of this method is about 74% without noise, which is about 22% higher. The method in this paper is more robust and repeatable to noise. The running speed of the FPGA accelerator proposed in this paper is increased by 22.9879 and 14.8551 times. The accelerator based on FPGA also has obvious advantages in running power consumption. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.
