The C13(α,n)O16 reaction is the main neutron source for the slow-neutron-capture process in asymptotic giant branch stars and for the intermediate process. Direct measurements at astrophysical energies in above-ground laboratories are hindered by the extremely small cross sections and vast cosmic-ray-induced background. We performed the first consistent direct measurement in the range of Ec.m.=0.24 to 1.9 MeV using the accelerators at the China Jinping Underground laboratory and Sichuan University. Our measurement covers almost the entire intermediate process Gamow window in which the large uncertainty of the previous experiments has been reduced from 60% down to 15%, eliminates the large systematic uncertainty in the extrapolation arising from the inconsistency of existing datasets, and provides a more reliable reaction rate for the studies of the slow-neutron-capture and intermediate processes along with the first direct determination of the alpha strength for the near-threshold state.

This paper established a constitutive model for rock dynamic tension based on HJC and TCK, and achieved the material model embedding through the LS-DYNA UMAT secondary development module analyzed the effect of blasting load, in-situ stress unloading and coupled load on damage distribution of surrounding rock of factory building during layered excavation. Studies have shown that the damage degree of the surrounding rock near the outline of the plant is the largest during the blasting excavation of deep underground powerhouses; when the in-situ stress level is low, the surrounding rock damage near the excavation surface is mainly affected by the blasting load, when the in-situ stress level is high, the surrounding rock damage near the excavation surface caused by the blasting load will be squeezed by the ground stress; in the remote excavated area, the surrounding rock damage is mainly caused by the redistribution of in-situ stress.

Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor Based Vibration Monitiring for Foreign Matter Invasion of Protective Barrier

A vibration monitoring system based on fiber Bragg grating is proposed to meet the need of protective barrier along the railway to monitor the foreign matter invasion. A high sensitivity fiber Bragg grating vibration sensor based on cantilever structure is developed. Three vibration sensors were deployed to a protective barrier with a length of 20 meters to conduct intrusion vibration monitoring test. Test results show that: 1) the fiber Bragg grating vibration sensor can well monitor the vibration signal; 2) the vibration intensity decreases obviously with the distance impact position increasing; 3) the response time of vibration measurement of different sensors is also in sequence when the distance impact location is different. Therefore, the magnitude of the external impact and the impact position in the protective barrier can be analyzed through the response amplitude distribution of each sensor and the response time sequence of the sensors.

Study region The Yellow River Basin (YRB) in China. Study focus This research constructs and evaluates future flood-inundated urban land, population exposure, and GDP exposure in the YRB under various SSP-RCP scenarios. It also discusses the contributions of different factors to changes in exposure and quantifies the future flood control efficiency of flood protection measures. New hydrological insights for the region We find that provinces in the lower YRB have a higher proportion of flood-inundated urban land. By the end of the 21st century, the proportion of flood-inundated urban land of the cities in lower YRB is expected to increase. Meanwhile, the average population exposure in the YRB under different SSP scenarios will decrease by 6.22–47.23 %, while GDP exposure will increase by 68–72 % across all SSP scenarios. Compared to climate change, socio-economic development is the primary factor influencing flood exposure. Considering flood protection measures, the lower YRB exhibit higher flood control efficiency, while middle and upper YRB still face high exposure due to insufficient effectiveness of protection measures. Protective efficiency of existing flood control measures will further decline with climate change: by the end of the 21st century, only 25 % of cities in the YRB will effectively reduce population exposure, and 35 % will mitigate GDP exposure.

Mogrosides and steroid saponins are tetracyclic triterpenoids found in Siraitia *** synthase(SQS) and cycloartenol synthase(CAS) are key enzymes in triterpenoid and steroid *** this study,full-length cDNAs of SgSQS and SgCAS were cloned by a rapid amplification of cDNA-ends with polymerase chain reaction(RACE-PCR) *** SgSQS cDNA has a 1254 bp open reading frame(ORF) encoding 417 amino acids,and the SgCAS cDNA contains a 2298 bp ORF encoding 765 amino *** analysis showed that the deduced SgSQS protein has two transmembrane regions in the *** SgSQS and SgCAS have significantly higher levels in fruits than in other tissues,suggesting that steroids and mogrosides are competitors for the same precursors in *** in silico prediction and subcellular localization,experiments in tobacco indicated that SgSQS was probably in the cytoplasm or on the cytoskeleton,and SgCAS was likely located in the nucleus or *** results will provide a foundation for further study of SgSQS and SgCAS gene functions in ***,and may facilitate improvements in mogroside content in fruit by regulating gene expression.

The dynamic information such as water level, supply source and motion direction of groundwater in slope engineering have an important influence on the selection of water drainage project. It is important to quickly and effectively ascertain the groundwater information of slope engineering. The underground magnetic fluid detection technology uses the groundwater flow system to continuously cut the magnetic force lines in the geomagnetic field to form the underground magnetic fluid and then generate induced electromagnetic fields. The dynamic information of groundwater can be detected quickly and efficiently by testing the electromagnetic field. The application results of groundwater detection technology in Shang-San Expressway in Zhejiang province to K290 + 400 slope show that: the results of exploration are basically consistent with the results of underground magnetic fluid detection; and groundwater distribution of slope which is tested by underground magnetic fluid detection technology is reliable. The underground magnetic fluid detection technology provides a quick and effective means for groundwater exploration of slope engineering.

According to the element stresses, strains and displacements calculated by the Finite Difference Method(FDM), the Finite Arc Method based on the limit equilibrium theory and the Strength Reduction Method with deformation trend as the failure standard are established. The critical slip surface of slope and the minimum safety factor are obtained by the two new methods. A classical slope case is specialized to validate these methods and the feasibility in slope engineering is proved by the influence analysis of the results.
