Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in Wireless Power Transfer (WPT)-assisted Internet of Things (IoT) systems face the following challenges: limited resources and suboptimal trajectory planning. Reinforcement learning-based trajectory planning schemes face issues of low search efficiency and learning instability when optimizing large-scale systems. To address these issues, we present an Attention-based UAV Trajectory Optimization (AUTO) framework based on the graph transformer, which consists of an Attention Trajectory Optimization Model (ATOM) and a Trajectory lEarNing Method based on Actor-critic (TENMA). In ATOM, a graph encoder is used to calculate the self-attention characteristics of all IoTDs, and a trajectory decoder is developed to optimize the number and trajectories of UAVs. TENMA then trains the ATOM using an improved Actor-Critic method, in which the real reward of the system is applied as the baseline to reduce variances in the critic network. This method is suitable for high-quality and large-scale multi-UAV trajectory planning. Finally, we develop numerous experiments, including a hardware experiment in the field case, to verify the feasibility and efficiency of the AUTO framework. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. Modality Unified Attack for Omni-Modality Person Re-Identification

Deep learning based person re-identification (re-id) models have been widely employed in surveillance systems. Recent studies have demonstrated that black-box single-modality and cross-modality re-id models are vulnerable to adversarial examples (AEs), leaving the robustness of multi-modality re-id models unexplored. Due to the lack of knowledge about the specific type of model deployed in the target black-box surveillance system, we aim to generate modality unified AEs for omni-modality (single-, cross- and multi-modality) re-id models. Specifically, we propose a novel Modality Unified Attack method to train modality-specific adversarial generators to generate AEs that effectively attack different omni-modality models. A multi-modality model is adopted as the surrogate model, wherein the features of each modality are perturbed by metric disruption loss before fusion. To collapse the common features of omnimodality models, Cross Modality Simulated Disruption approach is introduced to mimic the cross-modality feature embeddings by intentionally feeding images to non-corresponding modality-specific subnetworks of the surrogate model. Moreover, Multi Modality Collaborative Disruption strategy is devised to facilitate the attacker to comprehensively corrupt the informative content of person images by leveraging a multi modality feature collaborative metric disruption loss. Extensive experiments show that our MUA method can effectively attack the omni-modality re-id models, achieving 55.9%, 24.4%, 49.0% and 62.7% mean mAP Drop Rate, respectively. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

A Bi-selection Method Based on Consistent Matrix for Large-Scale Datasets

Biselection (feature and sample selection) enhances the efficiency and accuracy of machine learning models when handling large-scale data. Fuzzy rough sets, an uncertainty mathematics model known for its excellent interpretability, are widely used in machine learning, particularly for feature selection. While the consistent matrix has significantly improved the computational efficiency and scalability of feature selection, like most fuzzy rough set-based methods, it focuses only on feature selection and seldom incorporates sample selection. This feature-centric approach can limit classification performance, particularly in noisy and large-scale datasets where both features and samples require judicious selection. To overcome these limitations, this article explores the integration of sample selection with feature selection. First, we introduce a β-consistent granulation method to generate more accurate and concise fuzzy information granules, reducing the impact of noisy samples. In addition, a novel membership function is employed to distinguish noise while simultaneously evaluating both features and samples. As a result, a biselection algorithm with linear computation complexity is proposed to select high-quality features and samples. Numerical experiments demonstrate that, compared to eleven representative algorithms, our proposed method achieves an average accuracy improvement of 9.66% and a 933-fold increase in efficiency. © 2025 IEEE.

An Unsupervised Malicious Web Request Detection based on Transformer and Contrastive Learning

The World Wide Web (Web) is a crucial part of the Internet. Web attacks are becoming more and more serious and complex. Malicious Web request detection aims to rapidly and accurately identify abnormal attacks on the network. Deep learning is being applied to malicious Web request detection, resulting in high detection performance. However, most deep learning-based methods are supervised and ignore special characters, which are hard to detect unknown malicious Web requests. The labels of Web request are fewer and Web request data is insufficient. Therefore, we propose an unsupervised malicious Web request detection based on transformer and contrastive learning (UTCDetector). UTCDetector exploits preprocessing and 2-gram word segmentationto preserve special characters, extracts semantic feature by Transformer, and leverages hypersphere loss function and contrastive learning to handle insufficient Web data without abnormal label. Since the public Web request datasets (CSIC 2010, CSIC TORPEDA 2012, and ECML/PKDD 2007) were created before 2012, we collected Web requests from a university Web application server in 2023 to build a private dataset named School 2023. This dataset contains more modern and complex attacks. The experimental results on the four datasets demonstrate that our method achieves a higher F1-score than other existing methods and ablation variants. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Function-structural Interaction with Progressive and Multi-level Feature Fusion for ADHD Classification

Individuals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) exhibit intricate structural and functional interconnectivity across multiple brain regions. These patients demonstrate abnormal alterations in both respective modal brain regions and co-occurrent brain regions. Furthermore, there exist multi-level relationships between these abnormal brain structures and functions, encompassing hierarchical interactions between function-structural alterations as well as hierarchical progression from local regions to broader brain networks. However, most existing multi-modal ADHD classification approaches independently embed functional and structural data into separate spaces for information integration, often predominately focusing on uni-modal features. This approaches lead to a significant loss of features related to functiona-structural interaction relationships. Additionally, it is crucial for ADHD classification to accurately identify both uni-modal and co-occurrent abnormal alterations in brain regions which have hierarchical progression relationships. This study proposes a function-structural interaction multi-modal network with progressive and multi-level feature fusion (FSIPM) for ADHD classification. The main contributions are threefold: 1) An innovative function-structural interaction method is proposed to facilitate the mutual regulation of information across modalities, thereby relieving modal feature bias caused by integrated fusion. 2) A multi-level refinement framework is designed to promote the identification of both individual and co-occurrent abnormal brain regions. This progressive approach models the function-structural alterations of abnormal brain regions and the hierarchical relationships from local to brain networks, ensuring a deeper understanding of brain abnormalities. 3) Multi-level feature fusion aims to minimize the loss of details caused by consecutive sampling operations during the progressive process of the network, contributing to a

As Internet of Things (IoT) technologies continue to evolve at an unprecedented pace, intelligent big data control and information systems have become critical enablers for organizational digital transformation, facilitating data-driven decision making, fostering innovation ecosystems, and maintaining operational stability. In this study, we propose an advanced deployment algorithm for Service Function Chaining (SFC) that leverages an enhanced Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT) mechanism. The main goal is to tackle the issues of security and resource efficiency in SFC implementation across diverse network settings. By integrating blockchain technology and Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL), our algorithm not only optimizes resource utilization and quality of service but also ensures robust security during SFC deployment. Specifically, the enhanced PBFT consensus mechanism (VRPBFT) significantly reduces consensus latency and improves Byzantine node detection through the introduction of a Verifiable Random Function (VRF) and a node reputation grading model. Experimental results demonstrate that compared to traditional PBFT, the proposed VRPBFT algorithm reduces consensus latency by approximately 30% and decreases the proportion of Byzantine nodes by 40% after 100 rounds of consensus. Furthermore, the DRL-based SFC deployment algorithm (SDRL) exhibits rapid convergence during training, with improvements in long-term average revenue, request acceptance rate, and revenue/cost ratio of 17%, 14.49%, and 20.35%, respectively, over existing algorithms. Additionally, the CPU resource utilization of the SDRL algorithm reaches up to 42%, which is 27.96% higher than other algorithms. These findings indicate that the proposed algorithm substantially enhances resource utilization efficiency, service quality, and security in SFC deployment.

In intelligent transportation systems (ITSs), incorporating pedestrians and vehicles in-the-loop is crucial for developing realistic and safe traffic management solutions. However, there is falls short of simulating complex real-world ITS scenarios, primarily due to the lack of a digital twin implementation framework for characterizing interactions between pedestrians and vehicles at different locations in different traffic environments. In this article, we propose a surveillance video assisted federated digital twin (SV-FDT) framework to empower ITSs with pedestrians and vehicles in-the-loop. Specifically, SVFDT builds comprehensive pedestrian-vehicle interaction models by leveraging multi-source traffic surveillance videos. Its architecture consists of three layers: (i) the end layer, which collects traffic surveillance videos from multiple sources;(ii) the edge layer, responsible for semantic segmentation-based visual understanding, twin agent-based interaction modeling, and local digital twin system (LDTS) creation in local regions;and (iii) the cloud layer, which integrates LDTSs across different regions to construct a global DT model in realtime. We analyze key design requirements and challenges and present core guidelines for SVFDT’s system implementation. A testbed evaluation demonstrates its effectiveness in optimizing traffic management. Comparisons with traditional terminal-server frameworks highlight SV-FDT’s advantages in mirroring delays, recognition accuracy, and subjective evaluation. Semantic Communication (SemCom) is a promising new paradigm for next-generation communication systems, emphasizing the transmission of core information, particularly in environments characterized by uncertainty, noise, and bandwidth constraints. However, existing image SemCom systems face several challenges, such as inefficient knowledge base construction, insufficient semantic encoding, and lack of multi-user semantic sharing. To address these issues, we propose a Lightweight Vision Model-based Multi-user Semantic Communication System (LVM-MSC). First, we construct a Lightweight Knowledge Base (LKB) based on the fast Segment Anything Model (SAM). LKB incorporates the extensive image knowledge of the SAM model while significantly reducing the number of parameters through its convolutional architecture. Next, we design an Efficient Semantic Codec (ESC) based on the Masked AutoEncoder (MAE) architecture. ESC enhances semantic compression at both the pixel and semantic levels and implements lightweight semantic decoding tailored for user devices. Furthermore, we propose a Multi-user Semantic Sharing (MSS) transmission for the multi-user SemCom. By calculating the similarity of semantic information among different users in the sharing semantic space, we unify the transmissions of similar semantic information through broadcasting, further improving the transmission efficiency. Finally, simulation results demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed LVM-MSC system. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.
