HRAM-VITON: High-Resolution Virtual Try-On with Attention Mechanism

The objective of image-based virtual try-on is to seamlessly integrate clothing onto a target image, generating a realistic representation of the character in the specified attire. However, existing virtual try-on methods frequently encounter challenges, including misalignment between the body and clothing, noticeable artifacts, and the loss of intricate garment details. To overcome these challenges, we introduce a two-stage high-resolution virtual try-on framework that integrates an attention mechanism, comprising a garment warping stage and an image generation stage. During the garment warping stage, we incorporate a channel attention mechanism to effectively retain the critical features of the garment, addressing challenges such as the loss of patterns, colors, and other essential details commonly observed in virtual try-on images produced by existing methods. During the image generation stage, with the aim of maximizing the utilization of the information proffered by the input image, the input features undergo double sampling within the normalization procedure, thereby enhancing the detail fidelity and clothing alignment efficacy of the output image. Experimental evaluations conducted on high-resolution datasets validate the effectiveness of the proposed method. Results demonstrate significant improvements in preserving garment details, reducing artifacts, and achieving superior alignment between the clothing and body compared to baseline methods, establishing its advantage in generating realistic and high-quality virtual try-on images.

Deep semantic network for hyperspectral image classification using enhanced bifurcation and light self-Gaussian attention mechanism

Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are widely used in hyperspectral image (HSI) classification due to their strong feature extraction capabilities. Nevertheless, CNN-based classification methods face challenges in capturing deep semantic features effectively, and as the number of layers increases, computational expenses escalate significantly. In addition, spatial locations and spectral bands in HSI data have varying discriminative power. To address these challenges, we propose a novel approach, DSNet, which integrates a multiway attention mechanism with a CNN-based deep semantic network to improve HSI classification. First, we extract shallow abstract features using a module that combines 3D and 2D convolution layers, followed by transformation through a Gaussian-weighted feature tokenizer. Second, we introduce an enhanced bifurcation attention mechanism with dynamically adjustable perceptual ranges to capture spatial semantic information from both horizontal and vertical perspectives. Third, a convolutional multilayer perceptron module is employed to extract high-level feature representations in both spatial and spectral dimensions, which are then refined by a light self-Gaussian attention module. Finally, a linear layer is used to determine the sample labels. Experiments conducted on three publicly available hyperspectral datasets illustrate that the proposed DSNet achieves superior performance compared with several contemporary state-of-the-art methods, even when trained with limited samples. © 2025 Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE).

Online Streaming Feature Selection Using Bidirectional Complementarity Based on Fuzzy Gini Entropy

Online streaming feature selection has garnered widespread attention due to its efficiency and adaptability in dynamic data environments. However, existing methods primarily focus on the correlation and redundancy among features, often overlooking the complementarity between candidate and selected features. In this article, we address this gap by introducing three key innovations. First, we construct a novel metric, fuzzy Gini entropy (FGE), to measure feature uncertainty within datasets. Unlike traditional information entropy, fuzzy Gini entropy inherits the advantages of the Gini index, effectively measuring the impurity of datasets, while also being capable of handling common fuzzy environments. Accordingly, related metrics such as fuzzy joint Gini entropy, fuzzy conditional Gini entropy, and fuzzy mutual Gini information are developed. Second, we innovatively propose the concept of the bidirectional complementarity ratio, which captures the relationship between candidate features and previously selected features in online streaming feature selection. This mitigates the unfairness associated with the late arrival of features, ensuring that candidate features with a bidirectional complementary effect that outweighs their redundancy effect with the selected features are chosen. Third, we design an online streaming feature selection method named FGE-OSFS. The method evaluates streaming features through three steps: Online relevance analysis, online bidirectional complementarity analysis, and online redundancy analysis. Finally, we compare the proposed method with five state-of-the-art online streaming feature selection methods, demonstrating the effectiveness of our new approach. © 1993-2012 IEEE.

TSGFormer: temporal-aware network and spatial encoding GCN for three-dimensional human pose estimation

Transformer-based approaches have significantly driven recent progress in three-dimensional human pose estimation. However, existing transformer-based approaches are still deficient in capturing localized features, and they lack task-specific a priori information by obtaining queries, keys, and values through simple linear mappings. Existing methods lack effective human constraints for model training. We introduce the Spatial Encoding Graph Convolutional Network Transformer (SEGCNFormer), designed to enhance model capacity in capturing local features. In addition, we propose a Temporal-Aware Network, which generates queries, keys, and values possessing a priori knowledge of human motion, enabling the model to better understand the structural information of human poses. Finally, we leverage the knowledge of human anatomy and motion to design the Human Structural Science Loss, which performs a rationality assessment of human actions and imposes physical constraints on the generated poses. Our method outperforms existing methods on the Human3.6M dataset in both 27 and 81 sampling frames, and our predicted poses are closer to the actual poses with less error. For the existing three issues, we proposed effective methods and conducted targeted experiments, which confirmed the effectiveness of our strategies. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Strong noise is one of the biggest challenges in controlled-source electromagnetic (CSEM) exploration, which severely affects the quality of the recorded signal. We develop a novel and effective CSEM noise attenuation method that integrates a deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) with a high-quality sounding curve screening mechanism. This method first uses a DCNN to learn the large-scale noise characteristics of CSEM measured data and build a DCNN denoising model for attenuating the noise. Because some impulse noise remains after DCNN denoising, the high-quality sounding curve screening mechanism is innovatively applied to optimize the DCNN denoised data. The core of this method is the smoothness value (SV), which quantitatively evaluates the smoothness of the sounding curve (apparent resistivity curve). In effect, the mechanism segments the overall DCNN denoised data and calculates the corresponding sounding curve and its SV for each segment. The highest-quality sounding curve can be screened out by comparing the SVs of all curves as well as obtaining the highest-quality data segment present in the overall DCNN denoised data. Finally, our method is validated with synthetic and field data, demonstrating its feasibility and effectiveness in attenuating large-scale CSEM noise. The quality of CSEM data, which is heavily affected by noise, is significantly improved after processing by our method. © 2025 Society of Exploration Geophysicists. All rights reserved.

Noise-tolerant fixed-time leader-follower consensus controller design for multi-agent systems via fuzzy-neural-network

The leader-follower consensus control problem in multi-agent systems (MASs) is critical and has received significant attention. However, the simultaneous achievement of fixed-time stability and robustness is often challenging in MASs due to their inherent complexity and uncertainty. This paper developed a controller based on the proposed noise-tolerant fixed-time fuzzy neural network (NF-FNN) model to realize the leader-follower consensus of MASs. Specifically, the introduction of an integral error term makes the NF-FNN model have powerful noise tolerance, and a fuzzy gain parameter generated by the Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy logic system makes the NF-FNN model have fuzzy adaptiveness. In addition, a new partition-sign-by-power activation function is developed to ensure fixed-time stability of the NF-FNN model. Theoretical analysis and comparative simulations confirm the superb swift stability and excellent noise tolerance of controllers based on the NF-FNN model for achieving the leader-follower consensus of MASs, as compared with existing methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2025.

Fuzzy information Quantity Measurement and Feature Selection by Macrogranular Entropy

Feature selection is an important data preprocessing process in artificial intelligence, which aims to eliminate redundant features while retaining essential features. Measuring feature significance and relevance between features is a significant challenge. Fuzzy information entropy is an extension of Shannon entropy. It is widely used for quantifying the information of fuzzy divisions. However, it has significant limitations, notably the lack of monotonicity in fuzzy conditional entropy measure of decision uncertainty in the feature selection process. We introduce a novel measurement Macrogranular Entropy (ME) and construct some generalized forms, such as conditional macrogranular entropy, mutual macrogranular information, and joint macrogranular entropy. The conditional macrogranular entropy exhibits monotonicity when measuring decision uncertainty. Additionally, we propose two feature selection algorithms: one based on Monotonic Conditional Macrogranular Entropy (MCME), and the other based on the Degree of Symmetric Association (ADSA). The ADSA algorithm and the MCME algorithm are compared against eight other feature selection algorithms through a series of experiments. The comparison was conducted based on classification performance using SVM and NB classifiers, as well as evaluation metrics including F1-score and Recall. In terms of all four evaluation metrics, ADSA and MCME achieved the top two rankings, respectively. Specifically, on the NB and SVM classifiers, the ADSA algorithm improves the average accuracy by 12.22% and 2.88% compared to the original feature set, while MCME improves the accuracy by 10.07% and 1.01%, respectively. Experimental comparisons demonstrate that ADSA algorithm effectively removes redundant information from the dataset during feature selection. © 2025 IEEE.

Online Multi-label Streaming Feature Selection with Missing Features by Dual-Space Consistency information Measurement

Multi-label feature selection is critical to address the challenges of high dimensionality and computational complexity in multi-label learning. However, in some practical applications, a more complex challenge is the dynamic generation of features, known as streaming features. Although some scholars have studied multi-label streaming feature selection methods, the problem of missing features during dynamic feature generation in multi-label data is rarely considered. Hence, we propose an online multi-label streaming feature selection method for multilabel data containing missing features by dual-space consistency information measurement. Firstly, we construct the dual-space consistency information measurement, which can effectively capture the relationships between features and labels. Specifically, we consider it from the perspective of instance correlation, and propose a fuzzy α-tolerance relation in the feature space to directly deal with missing features, and introduce an improved neighbour similarity relation in the label space to capture the instance similarity between the label combinations. Secondly, based on the dual-space consistency information, we further introduce the consistency gain index to help identify those features with important information during the streaming feature selection process. Thirdly, by combining online significance analysis, online relevance analysis, and online redundancy analysis, a new streaming feature selection framework is constructed, which can comprehensively evaluate the newly arrived features in terms of strong consistency, weak consistency and irrelevance, so as to identify the most representative features in the continuously arriving feature streams. Finally, a series of comparative experiments on multiple benchmark datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of our proposed method. © 2025 IEEE.

Online Multi-Label Streaming Feature Selection by Label Enhancement and Fuzzy Synergistic Discrimination information

Online streaming feature selection is an effective approach for handling large-scale streaming data in real-world applications. However, many existing online streaming feature selection studies do not effectively leverage the correlation and hidden information in the label space. The measures used in streaming feature selection often face challenges such as computational complexity and insufficient information exploitation. To address these issues, we propose an online streaming feature selection method based on label enhancement and fuzzy synergistic discrimination information. Firstly, we define a novel label enhancement method based on label correlation, which does not require any prior knowledge of feature space. Secondly, we propose a new measure to evaluate the discriminative ability of multiple feature subsets for labels in fuzzy environment, called fuzzy synergistic discrimination information. It is bounded and has many interesting properties. The fuzzy synergistic discrimination information is computed directly based on fuzzy similarity relations, so the calculation is relatively simple. Thirdly, based on label enhancement and proposed fuzzy synergistic discrimination information, we construct a three-stage online multi-label streaming feature selection method, including online significance analysis, online relevance analysis and online redundancy analysis. Finally, comparative experiments on 12 datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method. The influences of different feature sequences and these components on the algorithm's performance are further analyzed. © 1993-2012 IEEE.
