We offer a specialized toolkit for automating both knowledge management when creating an applied microservices package and data accumulating during its application for scientific computations in a hybrid computing environment. The decentralized solving of the declaratively formulated problem is carried out by an active agent group. This group is self-organized by logical inference on the distributed knowledge base of a subject domain. The developed toolkit automates the creating and updating of the local knowledge base of the manager-agent of applied microservices package, as well as the local knowledge bases of distributed computational agents. Local knowledge bases are formed using a description of the interface of computational microservices managed by these agents. Microservice ensembles, corresponding to the active group, are stored in the knowledge base of the manager-agent. The developed toolkit uses this information for testing microservice in the case of its update. In hybrid computing, this toolkit provides synchronizing, archiving, and saving of calculated data. Hybrid infrastructure combines the reliability and availability of using on-premises computers with scaling to the cloud when peak loads occur. The paper raises an optimal impulsive control problem with trajectories of bounded variation described by a nonsmooth measure differential equation. The addressed singular problem of dynamic optimization can be equivalently transformed to an ordinary terminally constrained optimal control problem of a specific structure. For the transformed problem, we present a new form of nonlocal necessary optimality condition. The condition, named the nonsmooth feedback maximum principle, operates with feedback inputs and performs the property of potential control improvement, while standing within standard objects of the nonsmooth maximum principle. A counter-positive version of the nonsmooth feedback maximum principle performs a conceptual iterative algorithm for optimal control, which can be used for numeric implementation of the optimal impulsive control problem. Since numeric analysis of the transformed model requires its discretization, a major portion of the paper is paid to a discrete-time counterpart of the transformed problem. For this class of optimization problems, a discrete-time version of a nonlocal necessary optimality condition is derived. Based on this optimality condition, an iterative numeric algorithm is developed. © Copyright by the paper's authors.

The paper represents a prototype of service-oriented tools for developing digital twins. These tools automate most of the stages in preparing and carrying out a computational experiment reducing the possibility of human error. Computational experiments based on simulation modeling are performed using the proposed tools. As an example in applying the represented tools, a digital twin of a heat pump used as environmentally-friendly equipment of an infrastructure object on the Baikal natural territory is considered. Owing to the growing anthropogenic load, special attention is paid to the objects located at the coast of Lake Baikal. During the simulation modeling, both the heat pump performance characteristics and retrospective meteorological data are used to predict climatic conditions and select optimal control parameters. In addition, the computational experiment has obviously shown that heat pump use significantly reduces the harmful effect on the environment. © 2021 Copyright for this paper by its authors.

The paper addresses the relevant problem of data preparation for testing modules of scientific applications. Such testing requires the multiple executions of modules with different parameters for various scenarios of solving problems in applications. Often, data sources for parameters used for problem-solving are subject data (experimental results, reports, statistical forms and other information resources) created earlier as a result of functioning various objects of a subject domain. Usually, such data are heterogeneous and weakly structured. The developer of scientific applications has to make additional efforts in extracting, cleaning, integrating, and formatting data in order to achieve the correctness and efficiency of their use in applications. The aim of the study is the development of a framework for automating the description of semi-structured data and their transformation into target structures used by scientific applications. We proposed a conceptual model that allows us to represent knowledge about the structure of the source data, determine their relations with the target structures and set the rules for data transformation. Additionally, we developed a framework prototype. It is integrated into the technological scheme of continuous integration for modules of scientific applications (distributed applied software packages) that are developed with the help of Orlando Tools. This paper addresses the problems of fractional programming which data is given by d.c. functions. Such problems are, in general, nonconvex (with numerous local extrema). We develop an efficient global search method for fractional program based on two different approaches. The first approach develops the Dinkelbach's idea and uses a solution of an equation with the optimal value of an auxiliary d.c. optimization problem with a vector parameter. The second one deals with another auxiliary problem with nonconvex inequality constraints. Both auxiliary problems are d.c. optimization problems, which allows us to apply the Global Optimization theory and develop two corresponding global search algorithms. The algorithms have been substantiated and tested on an extended set of sum-of-ratios problems with up to 200 variables and 200 terms in the sum. Also we propose an algorithm for solving problems of fractional programming, which combines the two approaches. © Copyright by the paper's authors.

The technology of forming a database of glaciers based on a set of WPS services is discussed in the article. Technology services are used to highlight the boundaries of the visible part of glaciers by satellite imagery using a trained neural network. This paper addresses the nonconvex optimization problem with the cost function and the inequality and equality constraints given by d.c. functions. The problem is reduced to the one without constraints by the exact penalization. Furthermore, the penalized problem is a d.c. minimization problem. For the latter problem we develop the Global Optimality Conditions (GOCs) which reduce the nonconvex optimization problem to a family of convex (linearized with respect to the basic nonconvexity) problems. © 2017 SLOVENIAN SOCIETY INFORMATIKA. The paper considers functional-differential equations of pointwise type (FDEPT) which includes differential equations with delay, that lead to solution and both at once. In the paper, we propose a technology for solving boundary value problems for nonlinear FDEPT systems which is based on the Ritz method and spline collocation approaches. To solve the problem, we discretize system trajectories on the constant step grid and formulate the generalized residual functional, including both weighted residuals of the original differential equation and resid- uals of boundary conditions. Results of computational experiments for FDEPT make it possible to verify the effectiveness of the proposed technique for investigating problems. © Copyright by the paper's authors.

In recent years, a significant amount of research is focused on the development of tools for creating composite web-services for solving both business and scientific complex problems. This study discusses tools for building compositions or ensembles of microservices (depending on the method of integration) developed based on the HPCSOMAS framework. These tools are oriented on the application in a package of applied microservices for solving computationally complex problems of structural analysis and parametric synthesis of controlled dynamic systems in a heterogeneous high-performance computing environment. In particular, binary dynamic systems are studied using the Boolean constraint method for both their qualitative analysis and synthesis of laws to control these systems. Creating and executing composite services is carried out on a semantic peer-to-peer network of agents. The HPCSOMAS framework supports two modes of these processes, both the static creation and application of a composite service based on the procedural formulation of the problem and dynamic, based on the declarative formulation. In the first case, agents deployed on the network perform hierarchical control over the execution of the composition of microservices, in the second case, decentralized asynchronous management of the ensemble of microservices. Both operating modes are automated, and the validity of the resulting composite service is checked based on a logical approach. The tools are aimed both at a professional programmer and the end-user, a specialist in the subject domain. The HPCSOMAS framework supports the execution of composite microservices in a hybrid computing infrastructure, which includes both cloud and on-premises resources.
