Cerebral perfusion computed tomography(PCT)is an important imaging modality for evaluating cerebrovascular diseases and stroke *** widespread public concern about the potential cancer risks and health hazards associated with cumulative radiation exposure in PCT imaging,considerable research has been conducted to reduce the radiation dose in X-ray-based brain perfusion *** the dose of X-rays causes severe noise and artifacts in PCT *** solve this problem,we propose a deep learning method called *** exceptional characteristics of non-subsampled contourlet transform(NSCT)and the Sobel filter are introduced into *** decomposes the convolved features into high-and low-frequency *** decomposed high-frequency component retains image edges,contrast imaging traces,and noise,whereas the low-frequency component retains the main image *** Sobel filter extracts the contours of the original image and the imaging traces caused by the contrast agent *** extracted information is added to NCS-Unet to improve its performance in noise reduction and artifact *** and quantitative analyses demonstrated that the proposed NCS-Unet can improve the quality of low-dose cone-beam CT perfusion reconstruction images and the accuracy of perfusion parameter calculations.

Cross-patch feature interactive net with edge refinement for retinal vessel segmentation

Retinal vessel segmentation based on deep learning is an important auxiliary method for assisting clinical doctors in diagnosing retinal diseases. However, existing methods often produce mis-segmentation when dealing with low contrast images and thin blood vessels, which affects the continuity and integrity of the vessel skeleton. In addition, existing deep learning methods tend to lose a lot of detailed information during training, which affects the accuracy of segmentation. To address these issues, we propose a novel dual-decoder based Cross-patch Feature Interactive Net with Edge Refinement (CFI-Net) for end-to-end retinal vessel segmentation. In the encoder part, a joint refinement down-sampling method (JRDM) is proposed to compress feature information in the process of reducing image size, so as to reduce the loss of thin vessels and vessel edge information during the encoding process. In the decoder part, we adopt a dual-path model based on edge detection, and propose a Cross-patch Interactive Attention Mechanism (CIAM) in the main path to enhancing multi-scale spatial channel features and transferring cross-spatial information. Consequently, it improve the network's ability to segment complete and continuous vessel skeletons, reducing vessel segmentation fractures. Finally, the Adaptive Spatial Context Guide Method (ASCGM) is proposed to fuse the prediction results of the two decoder paths, which enhances segmentation details while removing part of the background noise. We evaluated our model on two retinal image datasets and one coronary angiography dataset, achieving outstanding performance in segmentation comprehensive assessment metrics such as AUC and CAL. The experimental results showed that the proposed CFI-Net has superior segmentation performance compared with other existing methods, especially for thin vessels and vessel edges. Realizing Generalized Zero-Shot Learning (GZSL) based on large models is emerging as a prevailing trend. However, most existing methods merely regard large models as black boxes, solely leveraging the features output by the final layer while disregarding potential performance enhancements from other layers. Indeed, numerous researchers have visually depicted variations in the features learned across different layers of neural networks. Motivated by this observation, we propose a Vision Transformer (ViT)-based GZSL method named Depth-Aware Multi-Modal ViT (DAM2ViT), which exploits multi-level features of ViT. DAM2ViT incorporates a multi-modal interaction block to align semantic information of categories across multiple layers, thereby augmenting the model’s capacity to learn associations between visual and semantic spaces. Extensive experiments conducted on three benchmark datasets (i.e., CUB, SUN, AWA2) have showcased that DAM2ViT achieves competitive results compared to state-of-the-art methods. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years,there are numerous studies on chaotic systems with special equilibrium curves having various shapes such as circle,butterfly,heart and *** paper describes a new 3-D chaotic dynamical system with a capsule-shaped equilibrium *** proposed chaotic system has two quadratic,two cubic and two quartic nonlinear *** is noted that the proposed chaotic system has a hidden attractor since it has an infinite number of equilibrium *** is also established that the proposed chaotic system exhibits multi-stability with two coexisting chaotic attractors for the same parameter values but differential initial states.A detailed bifurcation analysis with respect to variations in the system parameters is portrayed for the new chaotic system with capsule equilibrium *** have shown MATLAB plots to illustrate the capsule equilibrium curve,phase orbits of the new chaotic system,bifurcation diagrams and *** an engineering application,we have proposed a speech cryptosystem with a numerical algorithm,which is based on our novel 3-D chaotic system with a capsule-shaped equilibrium *** proposed speech cryptosystem follows its security evolution and implementation on Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA)*** results show that the proposed encryption system utilizes 33%of the FPGA,while the maximum clock frequency is 178.28 MHz.

Neural Ordinary Differential Equations (NODEs) revolutionize the way we view residual networks as solvers for initial value problems (IVPs), with layer depth serving as the time step. In this study, we propose a more efficient extension of NODEs called Leap-Frog Polymorphic Neural ODEs (LF-NODEs). LF-NODEs introduce the leap-frog updating scheme, breaking free from the specific structure of time-evolving mixtures of multiple dynamical systems. In each time step (corresponding to each residual network layer), LF-NODEs integrate the features of multiple dynamical systems (residual network layers) by employing time-variant weights from different dynamical systems. Our LF-NODEs not only overcome the limitations in the representation power of individual residual networks but also provide a more flexible and effective structure for residual networks based on multiple dynamical systems. The efficiency of the leap-frog updating scheme is theoretically derived and demonstrated. Furthermore, we expand the model by incorporating a multi-scale approach (LF-MSNODEs) to achieve even more accurate model representations. Empirical results showcase the improvements provided by our proposed methods in 2D concentric spheres task, irregularly sampled time series prediction, and classification tasks. Additionally, the results provide empirical evidence that the learned feature space enhances system efficiency with fewer parameters and function evaluations compared to the baseline methods. © 1994-2012 IEEE.

In the context of Industrial Anomaly Detection (IAD), ensuring the quality of manufactured products is critical. Traditional 2D based methods often fail to capture anomalies present in complex 3D shapes. For effective anomaly detection in 3D shapes, it is essential to incorporate global semantic context, local geometric structure, and color information of the object. To fully leverage these features, we propose a network named 2M3DF, that leverages knowledge from multi-view RGB images and corresponding point cloud information for enhanced anomaly detection performance. Our model initially employs pre-trained feature extractors that generate local features from multi-view RGB images and corresponding point clouds. The novel inter-modality feature representation and fusion module first adapts these inter-modality features and then effectively aligns and aggregates these multimodality features on a pixel-to-point basis. To learn the normality from point-wise fused multimodal features, we fit a multivariate Gaussian distribution to model the normal feature distribution. Comprehensive experimental evaluations using the MVTec3D-AD and Eyecandies dataset validate the effectiveness of our propose model and demonstrate significant improvements in comparison to existing state-of-the-art methods. Our model achieves a 96.6% mean I-AUROC while delivering real-time results. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

Semen quality assessment is a very important tool for the timely detection and treatment of infertility disorders. Many artificial intelligence methods for sperm image analysis have emerged in recent years. Sperm detection in sperm microscopy is the first step in semen quality assessment. However, the acquisition of sperm electron microscopy images can produce a variety of different background lighting situations. The performance of established methods is susceptible to changes in background illumination. Therefore, a sperm detection method with heterogeneous Laplacian distribution noise background modeling (HLDNBM) is proposed. In this paper the method uses background illumination surface fitting to eliminate the effect of illumination in a single sperm image, and realizes the segmentation of sperm head and sperm tail with different grayscale by upper and lower segmentation threshold surfaces to achieve complete sperm image segmentation and multi-target detection in a single image. This method effectively avoids the degradation of target detection performance caused by sudden changes in illumination in other background modeling methods. Moreover, this method shows strong adaptability for images with different lighting backgrounds, and is friendly to small datasets as well. The experimental results show that the accuracy and sensitivity of the algorithm for sperm detection in images with different grayscale characteristics are very promising, with high universality and robustness. © 2023 IEEE.

Accurate and automated gland segmentation on pathological images can assist pathologists in diagnosing the malignancy of colorectal adenocarcinoma. However, due to various gland shapes, severe deformation of malignant glands, and overlapping adhesions between glands. Gland segmentation has always been very challenging. To address these problems, we propose a DEA model. This model consists of two branches: the backbone encoding and decoding network and the local semantic extraction network. The backbone encoding and decoding network extracts advanced Semantic features, uses the proposed feature decoder to restore feature space information, and then enhances the boundary features of the gland through boundary enhancement attention. The local semantic extraction network uses the pre-trained DeepLabv3+ as a Local semantic-guided encoder to realize the extraction of edge features. Experimental results on two public datasets, GlaS and CRAG, confirm that the performance of our method is better than other gland segmentation methods. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. DEGSTalk: Decomposed Per-Embedding Gaussian Fields for Hair-Preserving Talking Face Synthesis

Accurately synthesizing talking face videos and capturing fine facial features for individuals with long hair presents a significant challenge. To tackle these challenges in existing methods, we propose a decomposed per-embedding Gaussian fields (DEGSTalk), a 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS)-based talking face synthesis method for generating realistic talking faces with long hairs. Our DEGSTalk employs Deformable Pre-Embedding Gaussian Fields, which dynamically adjust pre-embedding Gaussian primitives using implicit expression coefficients. This enables precise capture of dynamic facial regions and subtle expressions. Additionally, we propose a Dynamic Hair-Preserving Portrait Rendering technique to enhance the realism of long hair motions in the synthesized videos. Results show that DEGSTalk achieves improved realism and synthesis quality compared to existing approaches, particularly in handling complex facial dynamics and hair preservation.
