The cross-correlation performance between epilepsy electroencephalogram (EEG) signals reflects the status of epilepsy patients which has importance for analyzing long-range correlation of non-stationary signals. For the first time, detrended cross-correlation analysis (DCCA) was applied to analyze the α wave of different physiological and pathological states of epilepsy EEG signals. It were compared the difference of DCCA values between epilepsy patients' EEG signals and normal subjects' EEG signals. It was found that the DCCA values of epilepsy patients' EEG signals increased compared the normal subjects' EEG signals which can be helpful for medical diagnosis and treatment.

Camera calibration is the essential step of obtaining 3D information from 2D views in the field of computer vision, which is widely used in the area of 3D reconstruction, navigation, visual supervision, etc. A camera self-calibration method based on dual constraints of multi-view images is proposed to make calibration possible when there is no reference calibration block or the movement of camera is arbitrary. In this method, multi-view images are preprocessed first to select three images which are most suitable for camera self-calibration, then we use the method based on the genetic algorithm, the camera parameters are finally estimated by using epipolar geometry matching error and reprojection error as fitness functions as two steps. Experimental results show that the proposed camera self-calibration method is correct and effective.

Translation rule extraction is an important issue in syntax-based Statistical Machine Translation (SMT). Recent studies show that rule coverage is one of the key factors affecting the success of syntaxbased systems. In this paper, we first present a simple and effective method to improve rule coverage by using multiple parsers in translation rule extraction, and then empirically investigate the effectiveness of our method on Chinese- English translation tasks. Experimental results show that extracting translation rules using multiple parsers improves a string-to-tree system by over 0.9 BLEU points on both NIST 2004 and 2005 test corpora.
