In the construction of large-scale hydropower projects in China,enormous amounts of materials are *** by various factors,fluctuation of materials price is very common during the *** protect the benefits of the demander and the supplier,reasonable material price adjustment methods need to be set in the procurement bidding documents.A price adjustment model is established considering price fluctuation stratifying and risk sharing.A simulation-based method is proposed for determing parameters in the model,and the simulation process is optimized with the optimal computing budget allocation *** on the judgment of engineers and real data of a hydropower project in Sichuan,China,and simulation cases are generated and the experimental results are analyzed with the *** results show that the simulation-based method provides scientific and reasonable support for determing parameters of material price adjustment model,and the optimal computing budget allocation algorithm plays an optimizing role.

Virtual Reality is an important development direction in recent years. Minecraft, a popular sandbox game, has a great potential to become a virtual reality platform for building immersive environments. Traditional methods of building virtual reality scenes rely heavily on massive human labors and require high levels of proficiency. To address these limitations, we propose an automatic, voxelated 3D modeling method with foreground and background environment segmented that can reduce modeling costs and achieve effective application in Minecraft virtual reality scenes such as virtual campuses. The proposed method leverages the use of point cloud reconstruction using a voxelization approach. A pipeline of converting point cloud to Minecraft scene is developed. Through preprocessing, segmenting, coloring, and exporting, a Minecraft virtual reality scene can be automatically generated based on voxel point cloud. Due to the noise in point cloud may cause defect during voxelization, a denoising and smoothing method using slice scanning and voxel connectivity segmentation has been implemented. It can generate building structures with clear outlines and uniform colors. And the entire process requires low computational complexity and achieves fast generation. We conducted experiments based on this method in indoor scenes, outdoor building landmarks, and complex underground scenes, and obtained results with clear structures and smooth surfaces, saving a lot of time for subsequent detailed modeling. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

A Recipe for Scaling up Text-to-Video Generation with Text-free Videos

Diffusion-based text-to-video generation has witnessed impressive progress in the past year yet still falls behind text-to-image generation. One of the key reasons is the limited scale of publicly available data (e.g., 10M video-text pairs in WebVid10M vs. 5B image-text pairs in LAION), considering the high cost of video captioning. Instead, it could be far easier to collect unlabeled clips from video platforms like YouTube. Motivated by this, we come up with a novel text-to-video generation framework, termed TF-T2V, which can directly learn with text-free videos. The rationale behind is to separate the process of text decoding from that of temporal modeling. To this end, we employ a content branch and a motion branch, which are jointly optimized with weights shared. Following such a pipeline, we study the effect of doubling the scale of training set (i.e., video-only WebVid10M) with some randomly collected text-free videos and are encouraged to observe the performance improvement (FID from 9.67 to 8.19 and FVD from 484 to 441), demonstrating the scalability of Copyright © 2023, The Authors. This paper studies the problem of location and capacity for direct charging (DC) fast charging stations (CS). A new model with the random spatial-temporal distribution of charging demands is proposed to plan both the location and capacity for CSs and is modeled as a nonlinear optimization problem with a comprehensive cost function and multi-variable that can be solved by an improved genetic algorithm. Further, the trip chain of EV users is considered to describe the traveling characteristics based on the origin-destination (OD) matrix, and then the Voronoi diagram is used to divide the service area of each CS. The effectiveness of both the model and the improved genetic algorithm is demonstrated through the final simulation results and comparative analyses.

Green hydrogen is key to global decarbonization. This study optimizes regional green-grey hydrogen production in China, using a multi-storage (hydrogen and battery) and multi-renewable energy model. The focus is on minimizing the levelized cost of hydrogen and carbon emission factor, incorporating carbon reduction policies. The results show that the tradable green certificates policy leads to a lower cost, while the cap-and-trade mechanism accelerates the achievement of grey hydrogen substitution across China's regions by 20 years to 2060. Regions rich in renewable energy achieve $5/kg lower costs and 6 years faster substitution. Hydrogen storage is the most cost-effective solution, hybrid storage is preferable in low renewable energy areas, while battery storage incurs costs that are 25% to 150% higher. The trade-off between carbon emission and cost highlights each region's inflection point, essential for designing incentive policies. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

The self-organized criticality is a fundamental property for organisms to perform normal functional activities. Extensive large-scale biological neural network researches have found the existence of self-organized criticality through avalanche phenomenon, which is typical characteristic of self-organized criticality. However, such research method is not suitable for small-scale biological neural network, because number of neurons in small-scale biological neural network is not large enough to support the emergence of avalanche phenomenon. It has been demonstrated that branching parameter can also be used to describe the propagation of activity in the neural network. Here, in this paper, the C. elegans neural network composed of 302 neurons is selected to investigate the existence of self-organized criticality using branching parameter. Based on the obtained connectome of C. elegans, a directed graph model is constructed to simulate the gradient potential of neurons and the activity of C. elegans, then, the existence of self-organized criticality in the neural network of C. elegans is proved by using branching parameter method. Meanwhile, the result is further confirmed by analyzing the calcium activity data of C. elegans obtained from biological experiments. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Webshell, as the"culprit" behind numerous network attacks, is one of the research hotspots in the field of cybersecurity. However, the complexity, stealthiness, and confusing nature of webshells pose significant challenges to the corresponding detection schemes. With the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, researchers have started to apply different intelligent algorithms and neural network architectures to the task of webshell detection. However, the related research still lacks a systematic and standardized methodological process, which is confusing and redundant. Therefore, following the development timeline, we carefully summarize the progress of relevant research in this field, dividing it into three stages: Start Stage, Initial Development Stage, and In-depth Development Stage. We further elaborate on the main characteristics and core algorithms of each stage. In addition, we analyze the pain points and challenges that still exist in this field and predict the future development trend of this field from our point of view. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first review that details the research related to AI-based webshell detection. It is also hoped that this paper can provide detailed technical information for more researchers interested in AI-based webshell detection tasks. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Binary system modes of matrix-coupled multidimensional Kuramoto oscillators

Synchronization and desynchronization are the two ends on the spectrum of emergent phenomena that somehow often coexist in biological, neuronal, and physical networks. However, previous studies essentially regard their coexistence as a partition of the network units: those that are in relative synchrony and those that are not. In real-world systems, desynchrony bears subtler divisions because the interacting units are high-dimensional, like fish schooling with varying speeds in a circle, synchrony and desynchrony may occur to the different dimensions of the population. In this work, we show with an ensemble of multidimensional Kuramoto oscillators, that this property is generalizable to arbitrary dimensions: for a d dimensional population, there exist 2d system modes where each dimension is either synchronized or desynchronized, represented by a set of almost binary order parameters. Such phenomena are induced by a matrix coupling mechanism that goes beyond the conventional scalar-valued coupling by capturing the inter-dimensional dependence amongst multidimensional individuals, which arises naturally from physical, sociological and engineering systems. As verified by our theory, the property of the coupling matrix thoroughly affects the emergent system modes and the phase transitions toward them. By numerically demonstrating that these system modes are interchangeable through matrix manipulation, we also observe explosive synchronization/desynchronization that is induced without the conditions that are previously deemed essential. Our discovery provides theoretical analogy to the cerebral activity where the resting state and the activated state coexist unihemispherically, it also evokes a new possibility of information storage in oscillatory neural networks. In this paper, a fully circuit implementation of Memristive Neural Network (MNN) is proposed. The forward calculation of the network is based on winner-take-all (WTA) mechanism. The weight updating is achieved through the difference of pre-spike and post-spike, which is more close to the biological weight adjustment mechanism. The network is implemented in a full circuit without additional control units. The designed circuit consists of four modules. The memristive crossbar array module with one-memristor (1M) unit structure can effectively calculate the vector-matrix multiplication with only one step. The switch S is replaced by the transistor in the designed leaky-integrate-and-fire (LIF) module, which can control the integration and leakage of the membrane voltage and realize the lateral inhibition between output neurons. Connecting the integrated monostable trigger and the difference circuit, the post-spike generating module can output the required post-spike. The signal switch module realizes the switching of signals connected to memristors by using voltage-controlled switches. The combination of two modules validly realizes weight updating. The functions of four modules are verified separately. We performed a simulation experiment of 5×3 pixels image classification based on the designed circuit in PSPICE. The circuit output results and the high classification accuracy prove the circuit can be effectively applied in pattern recognition. The noise experiment shows the robustness of the designed circuit. © 2021 IEEE.
