Path Planning Algorithm for Unmanned Surface Vessel Based on Multiobjective Reinforcement Learning

It is challenging to perform path planning tasks in complex marine environments as the unmanned surface vessel approaches the goal while avoiding obstacles. However, the conflict between the two subtarget tasks of obstacle avoidance and goal approaching makes the path planning difficult. Thus, a path planning method for unmanned surface vessel based on multiobjective reinforcement learning is proposed under the complex environment with high randomness and multiple dynamic obstacles. Firstly, the path planning scene is set as the main scene, and the two subtarget scenes including obstacle avoidance and goal approaching are divided from it. The action selection strategy in each subtarget scene is trained through the double deep -network with prioritized experience replay. A multiobjective reinforcement learning framework based on ensemble learning is further designed for policy integration in the main scene. Finally, by selecting the strategy from subtarget scenes in the designed framework, an optimized action selection strategy is trained and used for the action decision of the agent in the main scene. Compared with traditional value-based reinforcement learning methods, the proposed method achieves a 93% success rate in path planning in simulation scenes. Furthermore, the average length of the paths planned by the proposed method is 3.28% and 1.97% shorter than that of PER-DDQN and dueling DQN, respectively.

Designing efficient, recyclable, and low-cost catalysts is crucial for the synthesis of quinoxaline derivatives. In this context, a novel N -stable Co 2 P nano-catalyst ( [email protected] ) was developed using a template-sacrificial approach. The catalyst demonstrated a broad substrate scope and good functional group tolerance, achieving yields of up to 84%. Additionally, the catalyst exhibited reusability and can be recycled up to three times. The [email protected] was characterized using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results indicated that the catalyst contained Co 2 P nanoparticles. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) further confirms the presence of Co-P. Analysis of the characterization data and experimental results revealed that the active site of the catalyst comprises N -stable Co 2 P nanoparticles.

This study investigates the improvement of plasticity in body-centered cubic magnesium (Mg)-lithium (Li)-aluminum (Al) alloys, crucial for lightweight structural applications. The ternary Mg-Li-Al alloys exhibits high strength but low ductility. Precipitates at grain boundaries in these alloys, linked to reduced plasticity, are examined for their crystal structure and composition. Advanced microscopic techniques reveal the transformation of precipitates and the development of specific structures at grain boundaries. Thermodynamics of element diffusion at grain boundaries are explored through first-principles calculations, and a phase-field simulation models precipitate evolution. Molecular dynamics simulations elucidate nanoscale mechanisms governing the transition from brittle to ductile fracture modes during artificial aging. The D03-Mg3Al at grain boundaries is a brittle phase, and through a 170°C aging treatment, it induces the precipitation of lamellar α-Mg phase with D03-Mg3Al as nucleation sites. The occupancy energy of Al atoms at Li sites in α-Mg is found to be lower than that in D03-Mg3Al, leading to the dissolution of D03-Mg3Al. The α-Mg, characterized by a stronger metallic nature, exhibits a better-matched modulus with the matrix and enhanced dislocation mobility. The precipitation of α-Mg plays a pivotal role in significantly improving the ductility of the alloy. This work contributes to the understanding of the complex interplay between alloy composition, grain boundary precipitates, and plasticity, as well as brings insights to guide interfacial control in the development of advanced Mg-Li-Al alloys for structural applications. © 2024, The Authors. Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a type of access-control technology that is used by diverse content providers to restrict the use of digital content. Enterprise Digital Rights Management (E-DRM) is an application of DRM techniques for managing the control of access to sensitive documents in an enterprise. In this paper, we propose a group key distribution system for E-DRM based on the concept of a secret-sharing mechanism and the generalized Aryabhata remainder theorem (GART). To the best of our knowledge, no previous publications related to E-DRM technologies have presented the group key distribution system that we propose. In our system, different groups of enterprise members within the enterprise obtain different digital content in parallel without collision by using their group’s unique session key;all members within each group share a common session key to decrypt the same digital documents to acquire the correct content. We proved that our system achieves the goal of providing high security, which includes preventing inside and outside attacks and offering forward and backward secrecy. © 2015.

With the development of artificial intelligence technology, robotics technology has become more and more mature. Ground walking robots not only develop rapidly, but also have been applied in actual production and life. However, the development of wall climbing robot technology is still in the laboratory research and small-scale application. We live in a world where progress is continuing. Large-scale buildings, bridges and ships are becoming more and more common. In these places, it is inevitable to involve the construction, maintenance and clarity of high-rise buildings and ships. In the case of dangerous and inefficient manpower work, the application of wall climbing robots can play a very good role. Therefore, the development of wall climbing robots is of vital importance both now and in the future. Starting from the performance characteristics of wall climbing robot, this paper studies and summarizes the moving mode, control mode, conditions to be satisfied and various adsorption forms of wall climbing robot, and introduces the basic research situation in the field of wall climbing robot.

Two-dimensional picture arrays and Parikh q—matrices

Based on the idea of 'q—count' of certain subwords of a word and generalizing the notion of Parikh matrix of a word, the notion of Parikh q—matrix of a word over an ordered alphabet was introduced. On the other hand, with a two-dimensional picture array of symbols arranged in rows and columns, two kinds of upper triangular matrices, known as row and column Parikh matrices have also been introduced and investigated. Here combining these two kinds of matrices of a picture array, we introduce row/column Parikh q—matrix of an array, leading to the concept of q—ambiguity of a picture array. Results relating to q—ambiguity of picture arrays are derived in the context of these Parikh q—matrices of arrays.

Carbon neutrality goals are driving the increased use of renewable energy (RE). Large-scale use of RE requires accurate energy generation forecasts; optimized power dispatch, which minimizes costs while satisfying operational constraints; effective system control to ensure a stable power supply; and electricity markets that support bidding and trading decisions associated with RE. However, the uncertainties in RE generation make renewable power systems challenging to operate. For example, the intermittent nature of wind power can make it difficult to balance the supply and demand of electricity in real time; therefore, traditional power sources could be needed to meet the demand, which can increase electricity prices. This Review outlines the potential of artificial intelligence-based methods for supporting renewable power system operation. We discuss the ability of machine learning, deep learning and reinforcement learning methods to facilitate power system forecasts, dispatch, control and markets to support the use of RE. We also emphasize the applicability of these techniques to different operational problems. Finally, we discuss potential trends in renewable power system development and approaches to address the associated operational challenges such as the increasingly distributed nature of RE installations, diversification of energy storage systems and growing market complexity.

In daily life, if the focus is not on the object to be photographed, the image is blurred. This is the blurred image caused by the defocus. The defocus is a very common factor, and in most cases, the defocus amount is unpredictable, which brings great difficulty to defocus image restoration. In the existing defocus fuzzy image restoration method, the defocused point diffusion function can be estimated by determining the model parameters of the defocus blurred image, and then the reconstructed image can be obtained by inverse filtering or Wiener filtering. This paper introduces the causes of the defocus image, expounds the inverse filtering, Wiener filtering and blind restoration methods, and analyses the different principles of the three methods, and uses inverse filtering, Wiener filtering and blind restoration to deal with the defocus blurred images, and the expected results are obtained.
