Gait planning of quadruped robots plays an important role in achieving less walking, including dynamic and static gait. In this article, a static and dynamic gait control method based on center of gravity stability margin is proposed. Firstly, the robot model and kinematics modeling are introduced. Secondly, the robot's foot static and dynamic gait were planned and the foot trajectory was designed. Finally, two types of gait of the robot were simulated using Vrep simulation software, and the differences in stability and speed between the coordinated gait with speed and stability in the static and dynamic gait of a 12 degree of freedom robot were analyzed, verifying the effectiveness of the gait control method proposed in this paper. © 2023 IEEE.

DeepFakes blur the boundaries between reality and forgery, resulting in the collapse of exiting credit system, causing immeasurable consequences for national security and social order. Through analysis of existing face forgery techniques, it is found that most generation techniques rely on random noise distribution, and global information will be lost after up sampling. Therefore, we propose a deepfake detection algorithm based on improved MobileViT, which uses CNN local space biasing and the global space representation of the Transformer network to learn the local features and global representation of forged faces, respectively. Coordinate attention is introduced to obtain directional perception and position sensitive information, making the model locate synthetic traces of fake faces better and fusion local and global representation more effectively. For the improved generalization of the model, with the GELU activation function to solve the problem of neuron death. Our model achieved 96.2% on FF++(C23) datasets, and 93.7%,94.1%,96.3%,87.9% on DF, F2F, FS, and NT datasets, respectively. Comparing with previous methods, our model has shown detection robustness and better generalization. © 2023 IEEE.

Active deception jamming is one of the common means to jam radar signals. How to effectively recognize active deception jamming is a challenge of modern radar technology. To address the accuracy and real-time of radar active jamming recognition in practical applications, we propose a fast recognition method of radar active deception jamming based on hyperdimensional computing. First, to address the high feature dimensions, we use the sparse representation of time-frequency diagrams as the input, which time-frequency diagrams are constructed by the jamming plus echo signals in multiple consecutive pulse periods. Second, to achieve a high accuracy and real time of recognition, we employ the hyperdimensional computing to map the input to hyperdimensional space for training and recognition. Last, in the recognition stage, the Hamming distance is adopted to measure the similarity of samples. We validate our method on nine types of radar active deception jamming. The experimental results show that compared with the existing mainstream machine learning-based methods, the proposed method greatly shortens the training time on the premise of maintaining a high recognition accuracy. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Detecting blade tip point light sources based on airborne computer vision is a critical step in measuring blade tip distance for coaxial unmanned helicopters. However, detecting blade tip point light sources quickly and highly accurately in a helicopter airborne environment is a challenge due to the extremely tiny imaging size of the blade tip point light sources. To this end, we propose a FRE-YOLO for detecting blade tip point light sources based on the YOLO network structure. In this work, we focus on designing a Feature Refinement Extraction network (FRE), which can greatly enrich the feature information of small targets during Backbone downsampling. Secondly, we also design a new paradigm Smooth Gaussian Distance (SmoothGD) which measures the degree of target bounding box matching. SmoothGD is mainly applied to regression loss calculation and label assigner, which can effectively improve the small target detection accuracy. Meanwhile, we construct the Blade Tip Point Light (BTPL) dataset for the network training. In addition, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method more fairly, this paper conducts the same experiments on BTPL and the small target dataset VisDrone on MMYOLO. A large amount of experimental data shows that the proposed method has a positive impact on the detection of tiny point sources at the tip of the blade. Passenger flow prediction is vitally significant for intelligent transportation systems (ITS). Most of the studies typically focus on the passenger flow prediction for an individual station, and only capture the temporal features without considering any spatial features. Constructing a passenger flow prediction model for multiple stations, or even a whole network, is more valuable for practical applications. Therefore, we develop a dynamic spatio-temporal network (DSTNet) with a self-attention (SA) mechanism for multi-station passenger flow prediction. A dynamic graph convolutional network (DGCN) is applied for the spatial feature extraction, and gated recurrent unit (GRU) is combined to learn the temporal features. SA is applied to further assign the weights for the extracted spatio-temporal features. The Experiment has been conducted on the passenger flow in the Xiamen bus rapid transit (BRT). The results demonstrate that the proposed DSTNet with SA (SA-DSTNet) outperforms the baselines in the multi-station passenger flow prediction task.

Protein-Protein Interaction (PPI) provides important insights into the metabolic mechanisms of different biological processes. Although PPIs in some organisms have been investigated systematically, PPIs in the ocean archaea remain largely unexplored. But such species have special investigation value since their adaptation to extreme living conditions may generate unique PPIs. In this paper, we aim to characterize and predict PPIs in ocean archaea to advance understanding of their metabolic networks. First, we collect all ocean archaea PPIs with high confidence from STRING database and analyze the PPI network features, including centrality and enrichment analysis. The functional enrichment results of the largest connecting subgraph in the PPI network show most PPIs in our constructed dataset is related to the translation and transcription processes. Then, we generate an equal number of negative PPI pairs, whose members have either different subcellular locations or GO terms. We also use the generated dataset to test the performance of three pretraining methods and their ensemble methods in the binary PPI prediction task. Our results suggest the ensemble methods could be applied to further improve models’ performance. Fine-tuned models trained on the ocean archaea dataset are expected to predict the other ocean archaea PPIs that are not included in the STRING database and get more understanding about the ocean archaea PPI universe.

FASTC: A Fast Attentional Framework for Semantic Traversability Classification Using Point Cloud

Producing traversability maps and understanding the surroundings are crucial prerequisites for autonomous navigation. In this paper, we address the problem of traversability assessment using point clouds. We propose a novel pillar feature extraction module that utilizes PointNet to capture features from point clouds organized in vertical volume and a 2D encoder-decoder structure to conduct traversability classification instead of the widely used 3D convolutions. This results in less computational cost while even better performance is achieved at the same time. We then propose a new spatio-temporal attention module to fuse multi-frame information, which can properly handle the varying density problem of LIDAR point clouds, and this makes our module able to assess distant areas more accurately. Comprehensive experimental results on augmented Semantic KITTI and RELLIS-3D datasets show that our method is able to achieve superior performance over existing approaches both quantitatively and quantitatively. RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) are essential for gene expression, and the complex RNA-protein interaction mechanisms require analysis of global RNA information. Therefore, accurate prediction of RBP binding sites on full-length RNA transcripts is crucial for understanding these mechanisms and their roles in diseases. While machine learning methods can predict RBP binding to RNA fragments, extending this to full-length transcripts presents challenges due to sequence length and data imbalance. In this paper, we introduce RBP-Former, a binding site joint prediction model designed specifically for full-length RNA transcripts that can be used for multiple RBPs. This model processes information at both coarse and fine-grained levels to fully exploit sequence data and its interactions with multiple RBPs. We develop multi-level imbalance learning strategies, achieving favorable results on imbalanced data. Our method outperforms existing methods in predicting binding sites on full-length RNA transcripts for multiple RBPs, demonstrating its effectiveness in handling imbalanced label and sample distributions. © 2024 IEEE.

Cervical cytologic screening is clinically important for the prevention and diagnosis of cervical cancer. Aiming at the many challenges in the detection of abnormal cervical cells, including the difficult detection of small targets of abnormal cervical cells, complex backgrounds, and uneven cell morphology, a detection algorithm for abnormal cervical cells based on improved YOLOv7 was proposed. The algorithm utilizes Deformable Convolutional Networks v2 (DCNv2) that adaptively de-tunes the scale and receptive field size to more effectively cope with the complexity and diversity of cervical cell images. The experimental results show that the improved YOLOv7 algorithm mAP achieves 57.26%, up to 73.88% accuracy, and 46.90% recall on the cervical abnormal cell dataset. Compared with the benchmark model, they increased by 4.07%, 3.39%, and 5.69%, respectively.

ProtDAT: A Unified Framework for Protein Sequence Design from Any Protein Text Description

Protein design has become a critical method in advancing significant potential for various applications such as drug development and enzyme engineering. However, protein design methods utilizing large language models with solely pretraining and fine-tuning struggle to capture relationships in multi-modal protein data. To address this, we propose ProtDAT, a de novo fine-grained framework capable of designing proteins from any descriptive protein text input. ProtDAT builds upon the inherent characteristics of protein data to unify sequences and text as a cohesive whole rather than separate entities. It leverages an innovative multi-modal cross-attention, integrating protein sequences and textual information for a foundational level and seamless integration. Experimental results demonstrate that ProtDAT achieves the state-of-the-art performance in protein sequence generation, excelling in rationality, functionality, structural similarity, and validity. On 20,000 text-sequence pairs from Swiss-Prot, it improves pLDDT by 6%, TM-score by 0.26, and reduces RMSD by 1.2 Å, highlighting its potential to advance protein design. © 2024, CC BY-NC-SA.
