Financial analysis is an important part of a feasibility study for an investment. In order to show that an investment is profitable or not, normally people use some methods such as Net Present Value (NPV), Payback Period, Benefit/Cost Ratio (B/C Ratio), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Modified Internal Rate of Return (MIRR). However, many people who work as a financial analysis normally only use a deterministic approach when they did a feasibility study for investment. In fact there are many uncertainty factors, i.e. exchange rate, in financial analysis of feasibility study. This uncertainty factors can be considered as risks. Many previous researches have been trying to capture this phenomenon. They use the Monte Carlo Simulation called NPV@risk. Unfortunately, the NPV@Risk uses paid license software called @Risk. And for some people or institution who cannot afford it, it could be a problem. Furthermore, in 2018, the ISO replace ISO 31000:2009 with the ISO 31000:2018. Thus, this research is an update of the previous research who work on integration of Risk Management framework and NPV@risk (Monte Carlo Simulation) using a free license software for Monte Carlo. To test the method, the case of power plant investment in 2007 is used. We use some variable, identified as risk, such as coal price, exchange rate, fuel price, etc. Using our proposed framework, one can capture that the impact on an increase of coal price leads to a catastrophic consequence. Furthermore, based on our risk map, the increase of coal price can be identified as a catastrophic risk. Thus, one could propose a long term contract of coal price in order to mitigate this type of risk and increase the success rate of the project. © 2019 IEEE.

In order to overcome the disadvantages of conventional method, innovations on how to produce coconut oil were applied with the technique of PENDAWA (Pendayagunaan Asam Jawa). Coconut oil comes from coconut milk which is the substance between oil and water (emulsion). So to get coconut oil, acid is needed as an emulgator to break down emulsifying substances. In this case, Tamarind is used because it is cheap, available, contains a lot of antioxidants, and is efficacious. Coconut oil contains medium chain saturated fatty acids, namely MCT (Medium-chain triglycerides) where MCT provides extraordinary health enhancing properties. We compared three types of coconut oil, namely coconut oil in the traditional way, coconut oil with the addition of tamarind, and packaging oil on the market. The result was coconut oil with the Pendawa method very good in quality and quality with FFA 0.0067% and peroxide number of 1.5 mg ek/kg. In conclusion, this oil production with the PENDAWA method is very effective, efficient, high in quality, and provides high profit for the industry that wants to produce it. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Wastewater produced by batik industry in Cibelok Village, Pemalang that is disposed straight into the sewage will increase the concentration of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), ammonia (NH3), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), chromium (Cr), lead (Pb), watercolour, acidity (pH), and dissolved oxygen (DO). Disposed batik wastewater without treatment will contaminate the environment, mainly its water and soil. The main purpose of this research is to reduce the concentration of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), ammonia (NH3), chromium (Cr), lead (Pb), watercolour, acidity, and dissolved oxygen (DO) by treating batik Cibelok's waste and not contaminate the surrounding environment. Laboratory test results on batik waste in COD, BOD, DO, ammonia, chromium, lead, colour, and acidity (pH). These results are not in accordance with the 2014 Waste Water Quality Standard Number 5 by the Regulation of the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia. Alternatives that have been done to treat Cibelok Village's batik waste is to lower dangerous substances concentration through electrocoagulation and filtration. The processes could lower COD level around 57.6%, ammonia 98%, chromium 85%, and BOD 67%. Reducing the concentration of the substance makes the batik waste safer and environmentally friendly when it's finally disposed to the sewage. © 2020 IOP Publishing Ltd.

Complaint resolution that arise due to internal and external factors in a company can be monitored through the Service Recovery Index (SRI), and SRI is developed through a number of factors that influence it. Meanwhile, the SRI model needs to be developed to see the business sustainability through implementation knowledge management system in the organization. The data collection method was carried out, starting with building a research instrument based on knowledge management theory and continued with observation and distributing questionnaires to respondents who were involved in the business process of managing SRI. The data analysis method was used to process the data from the questionnaire, factor analysis method was used and the method to build the model used was the regression analysis method. The results obtained from this study are the discovery of 4 (four) factors with a number of indicators that are grouped on each formed factor, which can then be made and built a readiness model that reflects current conditions, so that it can be used to build predictions in the future related to readiness. implementation of knowledge management system development in order to support increased understanding of the service recovery index in the organization.

This research is an approach to intelligent vehicles with a LoRa communication system, LoRaWAN compatible for Long-Range and Outdoor Communication, but in this paper, we will test the ability of LoRa to handle autonomous vehicles, a Blind-Adaptive Data method will be tried on vehicles systems. The system offered is when the vehicle is running, the sensor will send position data in real-time, the number of vehicles is four, and GPS data is sent alternately using the Blind Adaptive Data Rate principle to avoid data collisions, and when the GPS shows a certain position, the value of SF is ascertained, which affects the data rate and ToA, and the output given is RSSI on each car, speed of a car, power consumption of sensor nodes, signal power, SNR, Bit rate or data rate, and sensitivity. With the Blind ADR principle, it is ensured that there is no data collision between car position data that causes packet loss.

Washing fresh produce is crucial for removing contaminants and enhancing its appeal, yet traditional chlorine-based sanitizers often fall short of effectively eliminating surface pathogens while compromising quality. This study introduces Ozone Nanobubble Water (ONBW) as a chemical-free alternative. ONBW is produced through a specialized nozzle-type generator, dissolving ozone gas into ultrapure water to create nanobubbles, with ozone concentration regulated via Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP) measurements. Fresh broccoli and tomatoes were immersed in ONBW with a 1.5 mg/L ozone concentration for different durations to assess sterilization efficacy and shelf life under room temperature. The analysis encompassed contamination levels, weight loss, color, chlorophyll and lycopene content, texture, soluble solids, and respiration rate. Findings indicate that ONBW effectively reduces bacterial counts, showcasing its potential in producing sanitization. Moreover, ONBW treatment enhances vegetable quality and prolongs shelf life, preserving color, texture, and nutrients during storage. While the impact on respiration rate varies with storage conditions, nanobubble technology offers promise in mitigating quality deterioration and extending shelf life. However, further investigations are warranted to evaluate ONBW's efficacy across diverse vegetables and optimize washing parameters. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Biodiesel production based on crude palm oil (CPO) using heterogeneous catalysts is a new hope for solving the energy crisis. One type of heterogeneous catalyst is H-Zeolite/KI synthesized from natural zeolite impregnated with 0.05% (w/v) KI compound for 2 hours. The research focuses on determining the optimum operating conditions for biodiesel production using H-zeolite/KI catalysts. As raw material used CPO which has pre-treatment through an esterification reaction using 15% H2SO4 (w/v) as catalyst, temperature 65°C, stirrer speed of 400 rpm for 2 hours to reduce the free fatty acid content of raw materials up to 40%. Optimization of biodiesel production is carried out at the transesterification reaction. The research data was designed following the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) method using 3 independent variables and 5 levels, namely the ratio of H-zeolite/KI catalyst, transesterification temperature and mole methanol: CPO ratio with coded level (-1.682), (-1), (0), (+1), (+1.682). The research results show that the optimum operating conditions of biodiesel production were at the ratio of H-zeolite/KI catalyst at 2% - 2.5% (w/w), temperature at 45°C-50°C and mole ratio of methanol: CPO at (1:6). The biodiesel product was confirmed using gas chromatography and showed ester content of 88.02%. Characteristics of biodiesel products showed flash point 130C, acid number 0.4%, glycerol free 0%, viscosity 3.6 cP, density0.879 gr/cm3. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Academic entrepreneurship is an activity that refers to researchers at universities who commercialize university research through business activities. Academic entrepreneurship can also be interpreted as a process of creating economic value through the creation, renewal, and organizational innovation that occurs inside and outside the university which results in the commercialization of research and technology transfer. The importance of academic entrepreneurship at the university level is directed to change the traditional view to a new view that sees Higher Education as an educational institution but is able to generate financial resources to cover operational costs. The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent to which academic research on entrepreneurship has been carried out. The research methodology used is literature review, by identifying entrepreneurship academic journals through the assistance of Scopus and Vosviewer. Based on the analysis, it was found that many journal publications on academic entrepreneurship were carried out in 2012. The research method used was mostly a qualitative method, with a literature review analysis. Then this type of paper is mostly in the Q1 quartile, countries that apply academic entrepreneurship a lot are the United States and England.

Project is a set of interrelated activities and requires skills from different professions, and also project is involved the various of stakeholders in each phase of the Project Life Cycle. Implementation of Green Supply Chain in construction projects meant to bring the concept of eco-friendly in every process from the initiation phase, planning phase, the construction phase, and the operation and maintenance phase. It is necessary to identify indicators of green initiation and green design and how to explain the relationship between the role of initiation by the owner and the design process by a design consultant. This study aims to identify the indicators of green initiation and green design concept as part of Green Supply Chain. The method used for this study is a descriptive research that identifies and develop a framework for implementing green initiation and green design in construction industry that consists of concept, dimensions, elements, and indicators. GSCM in construction projects was determined by 9 indicators in the green initiation phase and 40 indicators in the green design phase. The success of green concept in construction project is very determined from these two phases as the beginning of the process, and the most important parties are the owners and design consultants. © 2019 The Authors, published by EDP Sciences.
