The supply chain risk assessment for tuna during the Covid-19 pandemic in Ambon by using the House of Risk Method

This study aims to mitigate risks in supply chain activities in tuna products during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method used in this research is House of Risk (HOR) approach by identifying each business process activity based on the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) model. House of Risk (HOR) offers a framework for controlling risk effectively in managing risk from risk agents. Aggregate Risk Potential (ARP) is used to determine the priority of risk sources that need to be done in designing a mitigation strategy. The results of the study identified 32 risk events and 52 risk agents. House of Risk (HOR) phase 1 shows that 11 Risk Agents will be prioritized for handling based on the highest ARP value, which further proposes 16 possible mitigation strategies. Based on the value of Effectiveness to Difficulty (ETD) from the House of Risk (HOR) phase 2, 12 mitigation strategy measures were taken from 16 proposed strategies that would be used to prevent risk causes.

Project is a set of interrelated activities and requires skills from different professions, and also project is involved the various of stakeholders in each phase of the Project Life Cycle. Implementation of Green Supply Chain in construction projects meant to bring the concept of eco-friendly in every process from the initiation phase, planning phase, the construction phase, and the operation and maintenance phase. It is necessary to identify indicators of green initiation and green design and how to explain the relationship between the role of initiation by the owner and the design process by a design consultant. This study aims to identify the indicators of green initiation and green design concept as part of Green Supply Chain. The method used for this study is a descriptive research that identifies and develop a framework for implementing green initiation and green design in construction industry that consists of concept, dimensions, elements, and indicators. GSCM in construction projects was determined by 9 indicators in the green initiation phase and 40 indicators in the green design phase. The success of green concept in construction project is very determined from these two phases as the beginning of the process, and the most important parties are the owners and design consultants.

The stearic acid modified zinc oxide nanorod surface was coated with a stainless steel substrate to improve the contact angle and the sliding angle. Facilitated through ZnO seeding on the substrate, the ZnO nanorod was deposited via chemical bath deposition at different precursor concentrations. The surface hydrophobicity was modified by varying concentrations of stearic acid at and submmersion time. The contact angle was investigated in relation to the surface microstructure and modification. Results indicate that the density of ZnO nanorods on the substrate surface and stearic acid coverage are prerequisites for improving surface hydrophobicity. Superhydrophobic properties with a contact angle of 162° was obtained for ZnO deposited with 35 mM zinc nitrate and submerged in 8 mM stearic acid for 36 h, which allowed 5 μL water droplets to slide at 3.8°. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

User perception of appropriate technology machines design in Indonesia

The use of appropriate technology in the community is one of the strategies of the Indonesian Government to increase productivity and value-added products, especially agricultural commodities. Although efforts to develop appropriate technology have become a concern of the Government, previous studies have shown that the level of acceptance and utilization of various appropriate technology needs to be increased. This research aimed to find out user perception of appropriate technology machine design. One hundred fifty-two people were involved. They were instructed to fill out questionnaires using a five-Likert scale. The results showed that users were satisfied with the appropriate technology machine, as indicated by the customer satisfaction index value of 74,97 %. The user’s perception of the lowest appropriate technology performance is on attribute accessibility. The user’s perception of the highest appropriate technology performance is functionality. It means that the use of appropriate technology machines gives the expected results.

Analysis of FMEA and FTA methods in identifying the causes of decreased quality of refined sugar products (case study: PT. Makassar Tene)

PT. Makassar Tene is one of the manufacturing industries that produce refined sugar from raw sugar as basic materials. Most of the refined sugar production process has been carried out automatically, but it still requires regular supervision and monitoring from the operator to ensure the smoothness and accuracy of the sugar processing steps in reducing the number of defect products significantly. Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) is a method to identify product failures based on potential causes. FMEA is used to determine the value of Risk Priority Number (RPN), then further identified as the main focus in determining the root of the potential cause using the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). The application of FTA can provide suggestions for improvements and controls in order to help companies reduce the risk of production failure. Based on the results of the research using FMEA method, it can be seen that the process stage with the greatest risk of failure lies in the stages of sugar evaporation/crystallization and the packaging stage in the packaging bin. The next step is to identify the type of problem at each stage of the process selected using Pareto diagram so that the results show that the evaporation/crystallization stage CV deviation often happened which can produce sugar dust, while at the packaging stage the problem that often occurs is metal detection, torn sack, and sweeping sugar. Then proceed with the use of the FTA method to identify the underlying causes of each failure that arises at the chosen process stage, and the results show that most of the failures that arise are caused by operator negligence, the operation process is still done manually, and the design of operating equipment is less optimal.

In this paper, a new 4-D hyperchaotic system with one equilibrium point is first introduced. It contains ten terms with three quadratic nonlinearities. Of particular interest is that this novel system can generate periodic attractor, quasi-periodic attractor, four-scroll chaotic attractor and four-scroll hyperchaotic attractor with the variation of one of its parameters. Major dynamical properties of the new system are investigated such as sensitivity to the initial conditions, dissipativity, equilibrium point stability, Kaplan-Yorke dimension, Lyapunov exponents spectrum and bifurcation diagram. In addition, an equivalent electronic circuit schematic is implemented using Multisim software; the obtained results confirm the feasibility of the proposed system.

The occurrence of landslides in the hills of Walahir, Kidang Pananjung village, Cililin subdistrict. Bandung in May 2004 needed attention and research so that the causes of the landslide could be identified. This landslide took many lives and property, heaped around 5 hectares of rice fields and residents' villages below and claimed 15 lives. Based on geotechnical investigations, the slip plane is at a depth of 4 meters from the ground surface and the area of the landslide ranges from 30,000 m2 leaving weathered rock beneath. Is the opening of agricultural land and fields followed by the use of chemical fertilizers is one of the causes of landslides? This study aims to determine the effect of a single chemical fertilizer (Urea, Za, SP36) and compound (Green Giant NPK, MKP) on the soil under conditions of optimum water content and water saturation or soaked which are carried out at the Chemical Laboratory of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of Bandung and Mechanics Laboratory Bandung Institute of Technology. Research on the influence of chemical fertilizers which is carried out using percentages of 1%, 2% and 3% with a relatively short ripening time intends to analyze the extent to which chemical fertilizers have an effect. Research is limited to the identification of minerals and chemical elements of original soil, soil physis properties, Atterberg boundaries, soil index properties, soil classification, soil elastic modulus. Hypothesis; The chemical content of fertilizers in the soil causes changes in soil characteristics. The method of taking original soil is by drilling original soil around the area where landslide disaster occurred at the same height as the height of the landslide slope, soil samples taken from depths of 1 meter and 3 meters from the surface of the land or the base layer between soil and rocks based on ASTM D-1452, 1587, 1586. This paper aims to provide an overview of what a Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) method is, its differences with the classical methods, the principles, and the QCA types. Literature studies and Indonesia megaproject case study is used to explain the concept of the QCA method. A comprehensive discussion of this paper produces a concise description of the QCA method that has the potential to be used to study multivariable research with small sample size. This study also succeeded in formulating a framework that can be used as a guide for researchers in determining when to use the QCA method.

Economic growth, technology and social culture has driven changes in consumer behavior and needs that continue to grow, one of which is the need to continue to improve themselves. This is supported by the number of beauty clinics that stand. As a company engaged in the field of suits, beauty clinics must be able to make consumers feel satisfied with the services provided. This research helps consumers determine the beauty clinic services that consist of 3 alternatives, namely Erha Clinic, London Beauty Center and Natasha Skin Care. The method used in this study is the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The AHP method will break down complex multi-factor or multi-criteria problems into a hierarchy. Where with hierarchy, a complex problem can be broken down into groups which are then arranged into a hierarchical form so that the problem will appear more structured and systematic. This research will produce priority weight values for each beauty clinic, which based on the largest weight is an alternative beauty clinic with the best service quality.

The plastic waste problem has become a global problem and the effect on the environment is horrible. Almost all countries make an effort to reduce their daily utilization. Environmental organizations and researchers are also performing research to find ways to recycle plastic waste. In this paper introduces the 'Eco-green Design Concept' to utilize plastic waste (type 2) as fishing boat material. This concept will recycle 3 tonnes of plastic waste into the material of a fishing boat. In addition, the implementation element of eco-green design concept (design quality (D), Environmental Friendly (E), Eco-green Material (G)) into the design of fishing vessels has been successful. The concept does not only utilize type 2 plastic waste into the hull of the ship, but the design of the ship is made to have small resistance, good stability and has a large cargo area. And also has a machine that is environmentally friendly and does not cause pollution.
