Wireless transmitters in measurement instruments act for transmitting data or signals using radio frequency or currently better known as WIFI by means of 2.4 GHz. WIFI is a wireless local area network (WLAN) communication network. With the existence of telecommunications, measurement and control in industrial processes are heading to a high level of reliability compared to the conventional wired instruments in reaching hard locations or dangerous and hazardous areas. However, this cannot be done easily especially in maintaining the communication performances. Research is needed on the reliability of the wireless transmitter itself. Several factors such as communication disruptions are new challenges for the industry of wireless technology manufacturers to be able to prevent or to minimize errors that can arise in wireless network control systems. Signal strength mapping is needed in designing wireless network control systems. In this paper, the mapping is performed by measuring the signal strength parameters (Power Level) and the use of channels (Channel Usage) at planned locations. The measurement results are then used as sample points in the mapping. Data show that the signal strength measurement at each channel has a maximum of - 60 dBm and a minimum of -105 dBm. Mapping is performed by using two methods, namely Inverse Distance Weight (IDW) and Spline Interpolation (SI) methods. The paper proposes an algorithm to select the appropriate wireless communication paths from the planned locations. The mapping results indicate the appropriate area to place the transmitter and the receiver devices in a wireless data transmission network. With good placement, it is expected that measurements using wireless transmitters have minimum disruptions. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Communities in Sepanjang Beach have utilized the macroalgae as main ingredients in various special processed products. The objective of this study was to analyze the content of fat, water, and ash in Chlorophyceae, Rhodophyceae, and Phaeophyceae macroalgae at Sepanjang Beach, Yogyakarta, Indonesia to support optimization of macroalgae processed products. This research was conducted at Sepanjang Beach, Gunungkidul District, Yogyakarta, Indonesia in August 2020. A method of descriptive exploratory was used in this research. Analysis of fat content, water, and ash content was carried out on Ulva lactuta, Palmaria palmata, Sargassum crassifolium, Gelidium spinosum, Gelidiella acerosa, and Gracilaria verrucosa quantitatively using Soxhlet method for content of fat, the thermogravimetric method for content of water, and gravimetric method for content of ash. The results showed that the highest fat, water, and ash content was found in U. lactuta in the central of Sepanjang Beach 0.174%, S. crassifolium in the eastern 89.460%, and U. lactuta in the eastern 8.715% respectively.

Cyber-Physical Systems-Based PID Controller for Three Interacting Tank Process Level Control

This paper considers the performance improvement of PLC-based process control systems through Industry 4.0 by harnessing cyber-physical systems (CPS), which is an integration of control, computation, and networking to intertwine intensely cyber and physical components. To accomplish these needs, open process control (OPC) unified architecture (UA) is exercised as a horizontal and vertical integrator of the CPS-based process automation. The three interacting tank process is the preferred testing plant because this system has become a proven benchmark for testing advanced control system in the laboratory scale. In this paper, the cyber component accomplishes parameter optimization of the PID controller for the level control of the three interacting tank process and schedules the appropriate PID controller that matches the level operating conditions. The control implementation shows that CPS for the level control of the three interacting tank process works well by resulting in smaller integral square error (ISE) value. Moreover, the cloud-based database can be established directly using OPC UA for real-time monitoring of the process through websites using the Internet network with data delivery rate of 100%.

Risk Mitigation Strategies on Supply Chain PT. X

Every supply chain activity in a company is not separated from risk, therefore risk management in a company is strongly required for risk handling. PT. X is a manufacturing company that produces food flavors. Dependence with suppliers and consumers causes uncertainty in the company's supply chain flow. This uncertainty can lead to adverse effects called risk. Risk can be minimized by carrying out risk management. This study aimed to design a risk management by identifying risk events from the company's business processes based on Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR), to determine the causes of priority risks and then identifying risk mitigation strategies using House of Risk stage 1 (HOR1), and ranking risk mitigation strategies by considering company criteria in determining risk mitigation strategies using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). From the results of the study, 21 risk events dan 13 priority risk causes' identified, and 9 risk mitigation strategies' determined. Risk mitigation strategies' rank sequentially were conducting briefings and evaluations every day, coordinating with suppliers continuously, making signboards at the warehouse, tightening the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), providing ongoing training, evaluating supplier performance, monitoring more frequently, demand management with considering safety stock and service levels, and had supplier reserves. So, this study suggests PT.X to implement the risk mitigation strategies for minimizing the risks in the company.

A comprehensive approach utilizing quantum machine learning in the study of corrosion inhibition on quinoxaline compounds

In this investigation, a quantitative structure-property relationship (QSPR) model coupled with a quantum neural network (QNN) was used to explore the corrosion inhibition efficiency (CIE) of quinoxaline compounds. Integrating quantum chemical properties (QCP) features reduced computational burden by strategically reducing the features from 11 to 4 while maintaining prediction accuracy. QNN models outperform traditional methods like artificial neural networks (ANN) and multilayer perceptron neural networks (MLPNN), with a coefficient of determination (R 2 ) value of 0.987, coupled with diminished root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), and mean absolute deviation (MAD) values of 0.97, 0.92, and 1.10, respectively. Predictions for six newly synthesized quinoxaline derivatives: quinoxaline-6-carboxylic acid (Q1) , methyl quinoxaline-6-carboxylate (Q2) , (2 E ,3 E )-2,3-dihydrazono-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoxaline (Q3) , (2 E ,3 E ) 2,3-dihydrazono-6-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoxaline (Q4) , ( E )-3-(4-methoxyethyl)-7-methylquinoxalin-2(1 H)-one (Q5) , and 2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-7-methylthieno[3,2- b ] quinoxaline (Q6) , show remarkable CIE values of 95.12, 96.72, 91.02, 92.43, 89.58, and 93.63 %, respectively. This breakthrough technique simplifies testing and production procedures for new anti-corrosion materials.

Sustainability of the climate village program to prevent the impact of climate change on water supply and sanitation: a perspective from the PESTLE analysis

The issue of water sustainability and sanitation has developed in recent years, and it is predicted that by 2030 there will be increasing crises. In accordance with the six SDGs goals, it needs some efforts to ensure the sustainability of clean water and sanitation. The climate village program is one way to increase public awareness of the environment, especially providing clean water and proper sanitation and avoiding uncertain climate threats. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach using political (P), economic (E), social (S), technological (T), legal (L), and environmental (E) analysis in a village that was officially declared as a 'climate village.' Data collected by observation and conducting in-depth interviews with five informants who know deeply about this program. The result shows that the spirit of community cooperation is good enough to prevent environmental problems due to climate change. Every aspect of PESTLE shows a promising development, especially in Social and Environment. Still, it needs improvement for every indicator, especially financial assistance, to provide clean water and sanitation technology resistant to climate disruption.

Indonesia has a high tendency of having landslides. Bogor is one of regency which is very prone to landslide disaster due to high rainfall. Landslides are a very dangerous threat to public safety. The preparedness can build disaster resilient communities that can support the national resilience. Sociodemographic characteristic and disaster experience are determining factors for the success of preparedness. The purpose of this research is to develop a model of the influence of sociodemographic characteristics and disaster experience toward household preparedness for facing landslide. This research is done in Cibadak Village, Sukamakmur Bogor. This research uses a quantitative approach with 100 sample of households. Multiple linear regression technique is used for analyzing the model. The results of the research showed that household preparedness is significantly influenced by sociodemographic characteristics which is education (p = 0.000), meanwhile age, income and the number of family member don't significantly influence. Beside that the household preparedness is also greatly influenced by disaster experience too (p = 0.000). Education influence on household preparedness for facing landslide as much as 38.81% and the disaster experience is 52.85%.

This paper aims to reveal the characteristics of thermal energy release in a solar water heater (SWH) tank involving phase change materials (PCM) as thermal energy storage material. A bundle of cylindrical capsules was inserted in 31.37 liters of SWH tank. The capsule contains paraffin wax as latent type heat storage. K type thermocouples were mounted on the water side and the PCM side. Experiments was begun with the charging process using solar energy until water temperature exceeds the melting temperature of PCM. After that, a gradual discharging process is done to release the thermal energy from the tank. The SWH tank containing 17.3 liters of water can produce 60 liters of hot water with an average water temperature of 45.13 °. This condition is achieved when the average daily radiation intensity is 699.92 W/m2. The PCM has contributed in storing thermal energy during the discharging process. © 2018 IEEE.

Continuous process for biodiesel production using homogeneous catalysts finds many constraints. Heterogeneous catalysts are the solution for the production of continuous biodiesel. One of the heterogeneous catalysts is zeolite/KIO3. Determination of operating conditions for heterogeneous catalysts, especiallyzeolite/KIO3 is required to obtain appropriate process conditions in order to the continuous system. The Taguchi method is one of experimental design that focuses on the variable approach to product quality improvement by control operation condition. Taguchi method is designed using 4 independent variables with 2 levels (4x2), which are temperature, mole ratio, time reaction and heterogeneous catalyst ratio. The Taguchi method can provide an analysis of the influence of each process variable significantly. This study aims to determine optimal operating conditions for the production of biodiesel with the KIO3 heterogeneous catalyst. Biodiesel is synthesized by esterification (pre-treatment) and transesterification following the Taguchi method. The source of triglyceride is crude palm oil while the alkyl source comes from methanol. Based on the result of analysis Taguchi method known that all process variables have an effect to transesterification reaction. But, variable temperature and reactant mole ratio give the most significant influence and show the interaction with p-value value 0.000 (temperature) and p-value 0.001(reactant mole ratio).Thus, for the production of biodiesel using the KIO3 heterogeneous catalyst obtained optimal operation conditions at temperature 65°C, mole ratio 1:6, time reaction 120 minutes and heterogeneous catalyst ratio at 5% (w/w). ANOVA gave result decided to reject Ho, and decided the reaction model influence by the variable process. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) is a form of proactive action taken by the company and its supply chain to remain competitive by introducing products and production processes that are environmentally friendly and socially *** Tetra Pak Indonesia as a company engaged in the processing and packaging for food and beverages, is committed to reduce the environmental impact of all operations and prioritize environmental aspects for each product and solution offered. Although there have been many sustainability efforts undertaken by PT Tetra Pak Indonesia, the perspective and implementation of its sustainable supply chain management has never been measured. This research was conducted to measure the perception and implementation of sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) activities of *** Pak Indonesia, in order to add information about the development of sustainable supply chain management practices in Indonesia. Data were collected in two ways: in depth interviews and questionnaires. Based on the result of interview and questionnaire, *** Pak Indonesia gets an actual implementation index value of SSCM activities of 0.88, and has an overall perception index value of 0.85. This indicates that PT. Tetra Pak Indonesia is a company that has a perception towards sustainability and has actually implemented SSCM activities.
