To develop a good application, the aspect that needs to be considered is to design a User Experience and User Interface that suits the needs of the users themselves. One of the design methods that can be used is User Centered Design method. This method focuses on designing the user's needs where it aims to provide comfort for the user and provide a relevant interface for the user. The study was conducted in Information Systems program of Telkom University. The design will then be tested on each lecturer and student in Information Systems program of Telkom University. This test aims to test whether a design is in accordance with the desired objectives or not. The results of the research the author wants to achieve is to design a user interface and user experience design of a web-based application for a Maiproyek application. After conducting research, the results obtained by the author are usability scores obtained from the *** application. The scores obtained are calculated in the medium category and show that the design of the application tested to each respondent already has a good usability value.

Mathematical creative thinking skills can increase a deep conceptual understanding of mathematics. Evaluation of the criteria for creative thinking skills is essential to research. This study aimed to evaluate the criteria for the mathematical creative thinking ability of elementary school students. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The research sample consisted of three experts. The research instrument was a questionnaire filled out by three experts through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The evaluation criteria used are fluency, flexibility, originality. The evaluation results of students' creative thinking skills showed that the fluency criteria had the highest score. The criteria for flexibility, originality have second and third importance. Evaluation can be used as a reference to improve students' creative thinking skills in solving mathematical problems.

This study aims to isolate the capsaicin compound from cayenne by reflux method using methanol solvent. Yield oleoresin obtained as much as 51,71% of 30 grams of dried cayenne at a ratio of 1:16 with extraction time for 7 hours. Oleoresin has a blackish brown color, thick and has a spicy smell. The obtained oleoresin was analyzed by Spectrophotometer FTIR show that chain – OH, -NH, CH2, -CH3, C=C, C=O and O-CH3.

This research aims to determine the optimum conditions with variations in temperature and concentration of Lactic Acid Bacteria (BAL) starter in fermentation in the process of making mocaf flour. Fermentation of cassava is carried out using a fermenter equipped with a thermo controller and tubular heater. Heater is used to increase the temperature connected to the temperature controller (thermo controller) so that the fermentation process runs in optimum conditions and get good quality of mocaf flour according to SNI 7622-2011 standards. The fermentation process was carried out anaerobically with and varying the temperature of 30 and 33°C and the concentration of the lactic acid bacteria starter were 0.06%, 0.12%, 0.18%, 0.24% and 0.3% with fermentation time during 24 hours. The results showed optimum conditions of cassava fermentation at a temperature of 33°C and lactic acid bacteria starter concentration of 0.3% obtained mocaf flour protein levels of 12.87%.

The use of NaOH as a catalyst for biodiesel production has long been used and provides high conversion conversions. Homogeneous NaOH phase during the transesterification reaction causes soap to form at the end of the process. Soap is diseparasi from biodiesel by washing and decantation techniques. The presence of soap can reduce the quality of biodiesel, especially at the flash point of biodiesel. Heterogeneous catalyst zeolite / NaOH is synthesized from natural zeolite and NaOH through the impregnation method. Natural zeolite is contained in natural rock obtained from Ujong Pancu, Aceh Besar. The synthesis of natural zeolite catalyst was initiated by activating zeolite powder with 4 M HCl for 10 hours at 90oC. Activated zeolite was impregnated using 2.5% NaOH at a ratio of 1: 2 (w / v) at 90oC for 2 hours. Application of zeolite / NaOH in transesterification reaction using crude palm oil off grade. The results showed that the use of zeolite / NaOH can prevent the formation of soap with characteristics that have met SNI 04-7182-2006 standards.

The Content of esters are the number of compositions of esters formed after the esterification and / or when transesterification reaction takes place. Esters are formed by breaking up the alkyl acid carboxylic group of fatty acids or triglycerides which react with methyl groups from methanol. To increase the reaction rate, heterogeneous catalysts were synthesized using impregnators NaOH, KI and KIO3. The impregnator is carried out in the framework of natural zeolite with a concentration of 2.5% (w/v). The zeolite framework was previously activated using 6M HCl solution for 10 hours at a temperature of 90°C. To strengthen the impregnator bond on a heterogeneous zeolite catalyst, calcination was carried out at a temperature of 600°C for 4 hours. Heterogeneous catalysts were tested on biodiesel production using a transesterification reaction. The transesterification reaction was carried out at a temperature of 65°C for 2 hours based on crude ester with 5%-10% (w/w) heterogeneous zeolite catalyst ratio shows the percentage decrease in free fatty acid content of 74.05% for zeolite/NaOH, 75.01% for zeolite/KIO3 and 75.77% for zeolite/KI. Based on the results of gas chromatography analysis, it was found that zeolite/KI catalysts of 77.1591.86%.

The weakness of an outdoor solar water heater (SWH) experiments is the difficulty in determining its thermal behavior. The fluctuation of solar radiation intensity causes the supply of energy received by SWH also fluctuate. The result is that the thermal behavior of the SWH cannot be known for specific parameters. This paper aims to investigate the thermal behavior of an active type SWH containing paraffin wax using the constant heat flux method. A phase change material (PCM) inserted into the capsule. The capsules were arranged in a tank to form a heat exchanger (HE). The thermocouples were mounted both on the waterside and the PCM side. The solar simulator installed on the top of the collector, and the SHW system placed indoors. The heat flux and water flow were set at 1000 W/m2 and 2 LPM, respectively. The temperatures of water and PCM for 143 minutes charging recorded. The data obtained were used to analyze the thermal behavior of water and PCM. The results showed that the average heating rate of water and PCM was 0.227 °C/min and 0.205 °C/min, respectively. The value of this adjacent average heating rate shows that HE has functioned well in removing heat energy from water. The accumulated thermal energy produced was 13.08 MJ. Indoor experiments can reveal the thermal behavior of the SWH-PCM systems.

The goal of this research to identifity inulin compounds in Aceh gadung tuber (Dioscorea Hispida) by using hydrolysis method with variations hydrolysis time 30 minutes; 60 minutes; 90 minutes and hydrolysis temperature 70°C; 80°C. Inulin is a group of carbohydrate that are prebiotic. Inulin is usually use a substitute for fat and sugar in low calorie food product. The hydrolysis method used can convert the carbohydrate from tuber starch to glucose and also convert it to simple sugar that is fructan. The analysis in this research is detected inulin function group by analysis Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and yield of crystal inulin. Isolation inulin used material and solvent (1:5) can obtained the best treatment of isolation inulin is operating condition at hydrolysis temperature 70°C by hydrolysis time 60 minutes, in this condition the yield of crystal inulin is 42%.
