Nowadays, organizational performance is no longer evaluated by considering economic aspects alone. The use of social and environmental-related indicators has experienced an increasing growth. The balancing of these three dimensions (the Triple Bottom Line-TBL) in day-to-day organizational activities to obtain higher levels of performance is a complex issue, involving the coordination of different areas with their demand for resources and competing objectives. industrial maintenance plays a determinant role on TBL dimensions. The improvement of maintenance performance has recently been the target of semantic models, decision-making and interoperability studies. There is, however, a need to more substantially discuss the impacts of industrial maintenance on organizational sustainability and vice-versa. This work aims at filling this gap by characterizing industrial maintenance in a sustainability context through a systematic literature review of articles published in peerreviewed journals, with a focus on supporting topics such as interoperability, ontology and decision-making.

The present research explores the behavioral perspective of the millennial generation on job pursuit intention on Multi-Level Marketing companies through social media. Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) are used to assess the job pursuit intention. The data were analyzed by Structural Equation Model (SEM). Analysis reveals the strong influence of attitude on job pursuit intention. The result in this research can be used as the theoretical basis that can be very beneficial for MLM companies, investors, and academicians in marketing. Further theoretical and practical suggestions are discussed. © 2021 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

The identification of nonlinear systems with artificial neural networks models has been successfully used in many applications. Most processes in industry are characterized by nonlinear and time-varying behavior. In this context, the identification of mathematical models for nonlinear systems is vital in many fields of engineering. The Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBF-NN) is a powerful approach for nonlinear identification and can be improved using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) approaches. This paper presents a multivariable nonlinear system identification using RBF-NN combined with standard PSO and Constriction Factor PSO (CFPSO) approaches in order to determine the RBF-NN parameters. RBF-NN is considered to be a good choice for black-box modeling problems due to its rapid learning capacity and, therefore, has been applied successfully to nonlinear time series modeling and nonlinear identification. On the other hand, PSO was inspired by the choreography of bird flocks and fish schools and can be seen as a distributed behavior algorithm that performs multidimensional search. Furthermore, promising simulation results from performance analysis of the proposed RBF-NN with PSO training approaches are presented and discussed in this paper showing promising results.

Forest fires have a significant impact on ecosystems and human life, especially in northern Thailand, where Chiang Mai is severely affected. Traditional methods for detecting forest fires have limitations, so there is a need for advanced simulation models. This research uses Agent-Based Modeling (ABM) to develop a forest fire simulation for Chiang Mai. The methodology involves collecting historical data, performing Multiple Regression Analysis, designing the simulation, and testing it. Data from 1998 to 2021, including temperature, relative humidity, wind speed/direction, burn area, and slope, were collected from various sources. Multiple regression analysis identified wind speed as the most significant factor affecting burn area. The forest fire simulation, designed using ZF Wang's spread model and tested with AnyLogic, showed that wind direction and speed are crucial in fire spread. The simulation accurately predicted high-risk areas, helping in proactive planning and response. This study confirms that wind is a critical factor in forest fire spread, providing a valuable tool for fire districts to improve preparedness and management. Future research should focus on refining the model with localized data and integrating real-time detection to improve its accuracy and applicability.

This article describes the estimation of a 3D point using a Kinect sensor and the Robot Operating system (ROS) along with You Only Look Once (YOLO) for object detection. The Kinect sensor provides RGB-D images, which are used to create a Point Cloud representing the geometry of the environment. ROS is used as a robotics development framework, while YOLO is employed to identify objects in the scene. The article presents the packages used, the datasets used for measurement, and the configuration of ROS and YOLO. Additionally, the functionalities of RViz, a 3D visualization tool used in the tests, are explored. Furthermore, it covers the methods employed, the acquired data, and an analysis of the error margin in relation to the measurement of the distance between the Kinect and the object. The findings and techniques presented in this study contribute to addressing the challenges faced in the RoboCup@Home competition, specifically in the context of object manipulation tasks.

The 2011 flood in Thailand exposed significant vulnerabilities in industrial areas, highlighting the necessity for enhanced disaster risk management through Area-Business Continuity Management (Area-BCM). This preliminary study focuses on identifying how stakeholders rely on information from each other to improve disaster preparedness and response. The research involves systematically identifying Area-BCM stakeholders and designing interview questions, which are evaluated by experts using the Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) to ensure relevance and clarity. All interview questions surpassed the IOC threshold of 0.5, confirming their effectiveness in capturing information interdependencies. Expert feedback led to refinements in the questions, underscoring the importance of tailored data collection. This initial plan provides a critical foundation for understanding information interdependence and highlights the importance of well-designed data collection methods. The findings have significant implications for developing more resilient disaster management strategies in industrial areas, emphasizing the need for precise and relevant stakeholder communication to enhance Area-BCM effectiveness.

Hydroxyapatite(HA)is a representative substance that induces bone *** research team extracted nanohydroxyapatite(EH)from natural resources,especially equine bones,and developed it as a molecular biological ***(PEI)was used to coat the EH to develop a gene *** verify that PEI is well coated in the EH,we first observed the morphology and dispersity of PEI-coated EH(pEH)by electron *** pEH particles were well distributed,while only the EH particles were not distributed and ***,the existence of nitrogen elements of PEI on the surface of the pEH was confirmed by EDS,calcium concentration measurement and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR).Additionally,the pEH was confirmed to have a more positive charge than the 25 kD PEI by comparing the zeta *** a result of pGL3 transfection,pEH was better able to transport genes to cells than 25 kD *** verification as a gene carrier for pEH,we induced osteogenic differentiation of DPSCs by loading the BMP-2 gene in pEH(BMP-2/pEH)and delivering it to the *** a result,it was confirmed that osteogenic differentiation was promoted by showing that the expression of osteopontin(OPN),osteocalcin(OCN),and runt-related transcription factor 2(RUNX2)was significantly increased in the group treated with BMP-2/*** conclusion,we have not only developed a novel nonviral gene carrier that is better performing and less toxic than 25 kD PEI by modifying natural HA(the agricultural byproduct)but also proved that bone differentiation can be effectively promoted by delivering BMP-2 with pEH to stem cells.

While several content management systems (CMS) and audience analytics tools are available for digital signage in the market, they are often sold separately and can be expensive. Therefore, this project aims to design a cost-effective and unified web-based solution for digital signage that combines content management and audience analytics functions, reducing the need for multiple purchases. This can be achieved by utilizing Raspberry Pi technology, known for its cost-effectiveness and versatility in integrations, along with a face recognition camera and machine learning methods. This proof of concept demonstrates the integration of these components to create a dynamic digital signage system. Overall, this project has the potential to offer an affordable solution for companies aiming to efficiently manage and optimize their digital marketing strategies, especially in the Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) Advertising space. © 2023 IEEE.

The development of information and communication technology at this time has touched all sides of life. Almost no side of human life is not touched by this information technology, which is more synonymous with the world of computerization. No exception also with the computerization that is popular in the corporate environment and government agencies. If in ancient times everything was still done manually. However, at this time all leaders and management have realized the importance of this information technology products that can facilitate them in carrying out the day-to-day corporate functions. Decision Making system of goods purchasing is one of the determinants of the accumulation of goods. If the decision is taken right then stockpiling of goods can be avoided. In this thesis the authors designed a web-based system that helps Management in making the decision of the purchase amount of goods. the system was developed by using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and using SQL Server database processing applications.
