In this study, we developed and implemented an object detection method to distinguish between ripe and unripe pineapples. We used a pre-trained object detection model using YOLOv7 and BlendMask techniques and finetuned it on the MS COCO instance segmentation dataset for 30 epochs. Through the preprocessing process, we resized the images to the specified target size and normalized the pixel intensities. We also created bounding boxes to mark objects in the images based on computed coordinates using object scores and attributes. During the prediction stage on two sample images, we accurately predicted that one image contained a ripe pineapple with a confidence level of 56%, while the other image contained an unripe pineapple with a confidence level of 77%. These results demonstrate that our developed object detection method is effective in differentiating the ripeness of pineapples. This research contributes to the development of fruit classification applications based on ripeness levels. The implemented object detection method can serve as a foundation for the development of more advanced systems in automatically identifying and segregating ripe and unripe fruits. As a result, this study has the potential to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the agricultural and fruit processing industries. © 2023 IEEE.

Citrus fruit is a fruit that has good vitamins and is popular with the public. This fruit also has various types with different benefits. Each type of orange also has a variety of colors. Types of oranges can be checked manually by looking directly at the color and texture of the fruit. This manual method is very simple but also very subjective because of the different understanding of each person about the types of oranges. Therefore, this research discusses and explains how to determine the type of fruit by comparing several methods, namely using the SVM method (Support Vector Machine), the CNN method (Convolutional Neural Network), the K-NN method (K-Nearest Neighbor), and the Naïve Bayes method by taking several samples of citrus fruit images consisting of sweet oranges, lemons and limes using a mobile phone camera. The total dataset used in this study is 90 datasets consisting of 30 sweet orange images, 30 lime images and 30 lemon images. Of the 90 datasets are divided into training data and test data. From the results of the study, it was obtained that the accuracy of compatibility with a percentage of 100% using the CNN method (Convolutional Neural Network). © 2023 IEEE.

The quadcopter has a fairly simple mechanical design because it does not require other drives to perform various movements such as roll, pitch, and yaw. The simplicity of this mechanical design has a considerable impact on the complexity of its control. Therefore, it is necessary to have a good control method to maintain the stability of the quadcopter. The research aims to maintain stability of quadcopter by using a combination of the Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) with the Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) method, where FLC is used to initialize the input of the PID method to find the quadcopter stability point. The application of fuzzy methods for the initial tuning of PID parameters has proven effective in enhancing the system's fundamental performance, such as overshoot, rise time, and settling time, compared to the conventional PID approach. The proposed method can reduce overshoot by over 20%, with reductions reaching up to 88% in yaw motion. Additionally, the Fuzzy-PID approach significantly improves stability, shortening the time to achieve steady-state by less than 1 seconds for all movements while PID did more than 2s for pitch and roll motions and over 1s for yaw motion. © 2024 IEEE.

The design and construction of delivering announcements using a web-based SMS gateway aims to help overcome problems that often occur at pioneer airports;this is because when passengers want to travel, many passengers still arrive late to check-in, even though the passenger ticket has a notification for checking. -in 1 hour before Departure. If a flight's Departure is delayed or accelerated, passengers will only receive this information when they arrive at the airport, whereas if at the time the departure notification is delayed or accelerated, the passenger is still outside the airport or still on their way to the airport, as a result, they will definitely not receive the information. Testing voice announcements on parking, arrival, departure, delay, check-in, and waiting room services, as well as testing SMS broadcasts (30 user numbers and one airline), shows that the announcement application provides information through voice data recording and broadcasts SMS to passengers and families. Testing was carried out at Indonesian Pioner airport for 30 passengers for a week. The percentage of Ease of obtaining test voice information was 81.98%, and the percentage of Ease of obtaining broadcast SMS information was 83.1%. Implementing the announcement is feasible at pioneer airports with a percentage of 82.54%. © 2024 IEEE.

In this study, we built an Electronic Nose to detect pineapple ripeness. We designed a prototype E-Nose using a wooden crate. Inside the box, we built the E-Nose using 9 MQ sensor circuits connected to the Arduino Microcontroller. In the crate, we put an object, namely a pineapple with three levels of ripeness (ripe, half ripe, and unripe), each weighing 1kg placed in three different positions (5cm, 20cm, and 35cm) from the position of the sensor array (E-nose). We converted the signal output results into ppm units. We compared the value of each fruit signal based on the level of ripeness and distance using E-Nose. We used several signal processing methods (wavelets) for signal processing. Then, we improved the signal generated using wavelet. The wavelet methods used are Moving Average, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). The contribution of this research is to see the influence of the signal valuegenerated from the sensor (MQ Sensor) to the position (distance) of the object (fruit) and its influence on the level of maturity (fruit). Then signalgenerated from the sensor we make improvements with the mva, fft, and dwt methods. © 2022 IEEE.
