Polynomials and Spline regression are the numeric model where they used to obtain the performance of methods, distance relationship models for cement retailers in Banda Aceh, predicts the market area for retailers and the economic order quantity (EOQ). These numeric models have their difference accuracy for measuring the mean square error (MSE). The distance relationships between retailers are to identify the density of retailers in the town. The dataset is collected from the sales of cement retailer with a global positioning system (GPS). The sales dataset is plotted of its characteristic to obtain the goodness of fitted quadratic, cubic, and fourth polynomial methods. On the real sales dataset, polynomials are used the behavior relationship x-abscissa and y-ordinate to obtain the models. This research obtains some advantages such as; the four models from the methods are useful for predicting the market area for the retailer in the competitiveness, the comparison of the performance of the methods, the distance of the relationship between retailers, and at last the inventory policy based on economic order quantity. The results, the high-density retail relationship areas indicate that the growing population with the construction project. The spline is better than quadratic, cubic, and four polynomials in predicting the points indicating of small MSE. The inventory policy usages the periodic review policy type.

Red guava as fruit jams normally preserved using added sugar to prolong its shelf life. Heating process and different sugar content could affect in nutrient content and expiration date. Hence, the aim of this study was to evaluate the nutrient content and shelf life of jams based on two different sugar content. Two hundred (jam A) and two hundred and fifty grams of sugar (jam B) was added in 800 grams of guava then cooked at 70°C within an hour. Protein and fat was measured using Kjeldahl and soxhlet, while water and ash content was analyzed using thermogravimetry and dry ash method. Carbohydrate was calculated using by difference method. Shelf life determination was obtained using organoleptic test, containing taste, aroma, and visual sensory. In result, jam A have a higher protein (0.334%), fat (1.567%), and water (29.21%) than jam B (0.306%; 1.092%; 27.32%). On the other hand, ash (0.34%) and carbohydrate (68.549%) in jam A are lower than B (0.37% and 70.912 respectively). Overall, jam A have a higher protein, fat, water and carbohydrate content than jam B. A higher water content potentially indicate a lower shelf life which seen in jam A. In conclution, terms of nutritional composition, jam A have higher content than jam B, but have lower shelf life.

Queueing is commonly occured at every industry. The basic model of queueing theory gives a foundation for modeling a manufacturing system. Nowadays, carbon emission is an important and inevitable issue due to its huge impact to our environment. However, existing model of queuing applied for analysis of single stage manufacturing system has not taken Carbon emissions into consideration. If it is applied to manufacturing context, it may lead to improper decisisions. By taking into account of emission variables into queuing models, not only the model become more comprehensive but also it creates awareness on the issue to many parties that involves in the system. This paper discusses the single stage M/M/1 queueing model that involves emission variable. Hopefully it could be a starting point for the next more complex models. It has a main objective for determining how carbon emissions could fit into the basic queueing theory. It turned out that the involvement of emission variables into the model has modified the traditional model of a single stage queue to a calculation model of production lot quantity allowed per period.

Breast cancer is the leading type of malignant tumor which is observed in women. The effective treatment depends on its early diagnosis. The gold standard of breast cancer is histopathologic examination of cancer cells. The determination of the grading in breast cancer is determined by three factors: pleomorphic, tubular formation and cell mitosis. This paper uses pleumorfic and tubular formation pattern from breast cell histopathology images. The proposed system consists of four major steps : preprocessing, segmentation, feature extraction and classification. We use k – means clustering method for image segmentation and use Gray level Cooccurence Matrix (GLCM) for feature extraction with four features (i.e. angular second moment, contrast feature, entropy feature, and variance feature). The final step is grading classification which uses Backpropagation Neural Network. Some of important parameters will be variated in this process such as learning rate and the number of node in hidden layer. The research gives good result for the identification of breast cancer grading with 88% accuracy, 85% sensitivity, and 80% specificity.

Different ways of controlling and preventing for brown planthopper attacks (Nilaparvata lugen Stal.) called BPH in Boyolali regency has been done, but until this time the loss due to this pest occur periodically. This study aims to explore the interpretation of the results for prediction BPH attacks in Boyolali district, which is done using a combination of Exponential Smoothing methods and Spatial Autocorrelation. Training data for predicting the BPH attacks, has been taken from the events in 2001 until 2007, to predict the BPH attacks in 2008. Prediction for the spatial distribution of BPH attack using Local Moran's and Local Geary, whereas for visualization is using choropleth Map and Local Moran's Map. Rainfall data from 2001 until 2010 is used to determine the periods of wet and dry seasons in Boyolali. To visualizing the results of the analysis, was used a predictive maps for attacks of monthly periods and with the sub districts area as the smallest unit area. The results showed that the combination of methods can be used to predict the BPH attacks and can provide predictive information expansive dynamics and time attacks, include the deployment of attack pattern based on the sub district area, the initial attacks and the time peak of attacks. This prediction scan be used as a consideration to formulating early warning information and the priority how to overcome them by region.

The Government of Indonesia is currently faced with the problems of food, especially rice. It needs in large numbers that have to import from neighboring countries. Actually, the Indonesian government has the ability to produce rice to meet national needs but is still faced with the problem of pest attack rice annually increasing extent. One of the factors is that geographically Indonesia located on the migration path of world rice insect pests (called BPH or Brown Planthoppers) (Nilaparvata lugens Stal.) It leads endemic status annually. One proposed strategy to be applied is to use an early warning system based on a specific region of the main pest population. The proposed information system called GEODATA. GEODATA is Geospatial Outbreak of Disease Tracking and Analysis. The system works using a library ESSA (Exponential Smoothing - Spatial Autocorrelation) developed in previous studies in Satya Wacana Christian University. GEODATA built to meet the qualifications required surveillance device by BMKG (Indonesian Agency of Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics' Central Java Provinces), BPTPH (Indonesian Agency of Plant Protection and Horticulture) Central Java Provinces, BKP-KP District Boyolali, Central Java, (Indonesian Agency of Food Security and Agriculture Field Supervisor, District Boyolali, Central Java Provinces) and farmer groups. GIS GEODATA meets the needs of surveillance devices that include: (1) mapping of the disease, (2) analysis of the dynamics of the disease, and (3) prediction of attacks / disease outbreaks in a particular region. GIS GEODATA is currently under implementation in the laboratory field observations of plant pest in Central Java province, Indonesia.

The scoreboard is designed and made based on the needs of several sports in the Student Activity Unit at HKBP Nommensen University which can be easily moved. Scores displayed on the scoreboard is not only the result of the game but also displayed time in the countdown. This scoreboard can be operated by using a cable and can also without using a cable by using a mobile phone through communication using bluetooth. This scoreboard is based on a microcontroller and uses backup power through rechargeable batteries that can be automatically charged. In trials in several games, this tool works well with a few drawbacks in case of a match that takes more than 100 minutes because the time display can only display a maximum time of 99 minutes.

This paper discusses the development of new products of Micro, Small and Medium Entreprises (SMEs) to identify what attributes are considered by consumers, as well as combinations of attributes that need to be analyzed into the main preferences of consumers. The purpose of this research is to increase the added value and competitiveness of SMEs through product innovation. The object of this study is banana chips produced by SMEs from the province of Lampung which it considered to be unique souvenirs of the province. The research data were collected by distributing questionnaires in Jakarta which has heterogeneous population, in order to develop banana chip’s marketing and increase its market share in Indonesia. Data processing was performed using conjoint analysis and cluster analysis. Segmentation was performed using conjoint analysis based on the importance level of attributes and part-worth of level attributes of each cluster. Finally, characteristics and consumer preferences of each cluster will be a consideration in determining the product development and marketing strategies.

The maternal mortality rate because of cesarean delivery is still high caused by lack of knowledge of pregnant women about the high risk of pregnancy. Cesarean delivery is an alternative labor but remains at high risk for both mother and fetus. The awareness of the mother to check her pregnancy early and precisely is very important. To support the awareness attitude of pregnant women to their health, so in this research has made an application program for the mobile application based on Android by using Naïve Bayes classification model to predict early childbirth process that will be undertaken. From this research, it can be concluded that the application of the baby delivery method estimation with Naïve Bayes model based on Android can educate pregnant women about high-risk pregnancy condition and prediction of delivery method that will be done with 90% accuracy, 100% sensitivity, and 80% specificity.
