This study aims to analyze the validity and effectiveness of the hairpiece module. The research method used is development or known as the Research and Development method. The stages in the research process are the analysis, design, development, implementation, and testing stages. Tests carried out in the form of validation were carried out by expert judgments or media and material experts, then the media was tested by students. The results of this study get the assessment of media experts in the very feasible category and material experts in the very feasible category. The results of student trials in small group trials were in the good category and large group trials were included in the good category. The analysis of the pre-test and post-test results showed a gain of 0.53 in the experimental group with moderate criteria and a gain of 0.42. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This research aims to: 1) know the formulation of pomade making from aromatic pandan wangi leaf essential oil, 2) know the characteristics of pomade from the essential oil of pandan wangi leaves, and 3) know the quality of pomade from the essential oil of fragrant pandan leaves, and 4) the anti-fungal activity of pomade from the essential oil of pandan wangi leaves. Research methods used by research and development (R&d) models. Formulation of pomade manufacture of pandan wangi leaf essential oil is carried out based on the results of research that produces a stable formula that is pomade with the appropriate quality SNI with the base of pomade type oil based and not petrol based with a concentration of 34% of the total weight of pomade. Pomade formula is added to the essential oil of pandan wangi leaves with different concentrations of 2.5% (formula 1), 5% (formula 2) and 7.5% (formula 3). The characteristics and quality of pomade are known from organoleptic and hedonic tests that 47% of respondents strongly agree with pomade has the aroma of essential oil of pandan wangi leaves, 52% of respondents strongly agree with the color of pomade in dark green, 45% of respondents strongly agree with the texture of pomade very smooth without any granules, the respondent's response after pomade is on a smooth impression as much as 90.56% and the impression is moist as much as 90.00%. Formula 1 to formula 3 provide homogeneous results. Formulas 1 through 3 have a pH balance with pH range of hair and oil on the scalp which is 5.5 between pH 4.5 -5.5. The largest antifungal activity is in formula 3 (essential oil content 7.5%) with an inhibithor zone diameter of 37 mm. This indicates that the greater the concentration of pandan wangi leaf essential oil, the stronger the antifungal activity against niger's Aspergillus. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Phthalate as plasticizer is commonly used in plastics industries. Phthalate compounds that are commonly found in everyday life are diethyl phthalate (DEP). This compound is dangerous because it is carcinogenic, xenoestrogenic and has endocrine disrupting effects. The accumulation of plastic in landfill causes this compound to be identified in leachate range from ND- 33 mg/l. one of active landfill in Bandung shows concentration of DEP 1.277 mg/L- 2.4 mg/l. Biological treatment was investigated for DEP removal. The treatment involves the degradation of DEP using fungi isolated from leachate samples. Degradation tests were carried out at varying concentrations of 2 mg/l, 4 mg/l, 6 mg/l, 8 mg/l and 10 mg/l as a carbon source for fungi growth. Duration of analysis is 15 days or until fungi decay phase achieved. High Performance Liquid Chromatography analysis shows that DEP removal efficiency reached 98-99% in each concentration variation on day 9 with a specific fungal growth rate of 0.0531-0.111/day © 2024, The Authors. Using MD5 hashing of passwords in web logins is highly vulnerable to dictionary attacks. One online application for cracking hashed passwords using a dictionary attack that is free and easy to use is ***. Even so, the use of hashing passwords using MD5 which has a low level of security is still commonly found to secure web login passwords. This research presents an increase in security through a combination of salt hash passwords when using MD5. The methodology of this study uses a quantitative experimental method to apply hash salt passwords using the MD5 combination. The password cracking test was carried out using the *** online hash cracking application on weak passwords such as 'admin' with the addition of a password hash salt using the MD5 combination. The results showed that Salt Password using the MD5 combination could not be cracked by *** using a dictionary attack. © 2023 IEEE.

This study investigated how the addition of hydrophilic TiO2to a porous asymmetric polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) Ultrafiltration (UF) membrane altered its properties and performance. The hydrophilicity and flux of PVDF and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) combinations will be lower, and TiO2will significantly impact raising those values. By mixing titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles with a pore-forming agent in a dope solution, PVDF-TiO2-PVP membranes were prepared via non-solvent-induced phase inversion method. Experiments using PVDF membranes with varying concentrations of TiO2(0, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2% wt) were applied to evaluate pure water flux and Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) flux. The functional group composition of membranes was investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The wettability of porous membranes was determined by measuring contact angles. Results demonstrated that membranes constructed from PVDF/PVP/TiO2with a lower loading of TiO2nanoparticles had a smaller mean pore size, more apertures inside the membrane, and better membrane hydrophilicity. The highest flux of pure water (121 L/m2h) was achieved by the PVDF-TiO2-PVP mixed-matrix membrane at a TiO2concentration of 2 wt%. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

It is undeniable that microplastics are found in many types of water, including drinking water. This study aims to investigate the presence of microplastics in one of the drinking waters widely used by communities in Indonesia, known as unbranded refilled drinking water. The investigation was conducted at eight unbranded refilled drinking water depots in Karawang, West Java. A total of 2.00 L of raw air and processed water samples were taken from each depot, then prepared by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, analyzed using an Olympus BX - 41 microscope with a magnification of ten times, and then counted manually. The results showed that raw and processed water in all unbranded refilled drinking water depots contained microplastics with details of 15.50-42.00 particles/L and 6.50-17.50 particles/L, respectively. The dominant microplastics found were fibers and fragments with sizes of 1.00-3.00 mm and less than 1.00 mm. Furthermore, the dominant color of the microplastics was black, indicating that the polymers of microplastics were polyethylene, polypropylene, or polystyrene. This finding has confirmed that refilled drinking water consumed by the community in Indonesia has potentially become one of the main pathways for the entry and accumulation of microplastics into the human body, posing significant health risks. The objective of this study was to determine the determinants between Community-Based Total Sanitation and the incidence of diarrhea in toddler at communities near rivers. This study used a quantitative approach with cross sectional design. The sample consisted of 76 mothers who have toddler with the sampling technique by accidental sampling. Primary data obtained directly from interviews using questionnaires and direct observation to respondents. The independent variable was Community-Based Total Sanitation which includes the behavior of open defecation, drinking water and food management, household waste management, and household waste water management. The results showed that only household wastewater management was significant with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers (p value 0,0000;OR 5,2), while, open defecation (p value 0.118), drinking water and household food management (p value 1,000), household waste management (p value 0,979) was not related to the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers. Toddlers in households with poor wastewater treatment were 5,2 times more likely to have diarrhea. The conclusion is household wastewater management was significant with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers, so that innovative efforts are needed so that the community improves their waste management. This is useful for preventing the occurrence of diarrhea in toddlers. © 2022

Lampung Province is one of the regions with the highest cocoa production, but many factors can interfere with cocoa production. One of them is the factor of pests and diseases of cocoa that cannot be identified and prevented beforehand. An expert system is a system that adopts expert knowledge or experts in a particular field. However, the diagnosis usually contains uncertainty in the form of answers and statements used. Certainty Factor (CF) algorithm, is one of the algorithms that is able to overcome uncertainty by providing a value for the level of trust from experts and users. However, because the CF value is based on the level of confidence in the symptoms experienced by the user, it creates a problem, namely the consistency of the user's answers. So, it is necessary to make improvements to the CF algorithm, to overcome the inconsistency of user answers through the use of Consistency Ratio (CR). Through the use of CR, inconsistencies are overcome through comparisons between the consistency index and the random index. Based on the results of the accuracy test, the proposed model is able to produce an accuracy rate of 86.67% in the diagnosis of pests and diseases on cocoa plants. © 2022 IEEE.

The problems and challenges for the government in seeing disease growth trend patterns are very important. This research focuses on infectious diseases, namely Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), while non-communicable illnesses focus on epilepsy and thalassemia in 2023-2024. The priority in this research is that the Health Service can take action to prevent disease distribution patterns that are seen based on the results of identifying patterns and trends using the fuzzy c-means model and mapping for each region. The research methodology includes collecting patient data, inputted by recorded medical data consisting of sub-district data and the number of incidents. The research results of the Fuzzy C-means model in analyzing infectious disease trend patterns show 3 clusters. The first cluster of vulnerable areas has four sub-districts: Sawang, Syamtalira Bayu, Dewantara and Muara Batu. Then, the second cluster still consists of 18 sub-districts. Finally, the safe cluster consists of 8 sub-districts. Meanwhile, the results of the ward model research showed that there were 2 clusters, namely vulnerable consisting of 19 sub-districts and safe eight sub-districts, which were then included in the spatial map. Meanwhile, analysis of non-communicable disease patterns using fuzzy c-means, namely thalassemia and epilepsy in cluster C1 (High) in 4 and 7 sub-districts, medium cluster in 9 and 7, and low cluster in 14 and 16 sub-districts. Therefore, this research can provide an important picture for the Health Service in analyzing trends in cluster patterns of growth of infectious and non-communicable diseases in children.

Bacillus nitratireducens was isolated from textile effluent and showed high tolerance to chromium (Cr), reaching up to a 1000 mg/L MIC value. This research was aimed at utilizing biosorbents from live and dead cells of B. nitratireducens to remove Cr from an aqueous solution. A batch biosorption test was performed, and mechanisms analysis was approached by an adsorption-desorption test, SEM-EDS, and FTIR analysis. Cr removal by dead cells in 25, 50, and 100 mg/L of Cr were 58.99 ± 0.7%, 69.8 ± 0.2%, and 82.87 ± 0.11%, respectively, while that by live cells was 73.08 ± 1.9%, 80.27 ± 6.33%, and 86.17 ± 1.93%, respectively. Live cells showed significantly higher Cr removal and adsorption capacities as compared to dead cells. In all concentrations, absorption contributed more than adsorption to the Cr removal by both live and dead cells. Absorption of Cr was subjected to occur due to passive mechanisms in dead cells while involving some active mechanisms in live cells. SEM-EDS confirmed the detection of Cr on the cell surface, while FTIR revealed the shifting of some peaks after the biosorption test, suggesting interactions between Cr and functional groups. Further TEM analysis is suggested to be conducted as a future approach to reveal the inner structure of cells and confirm the involvement of absorption mechanisms. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd
