The preparation method of cellulose films plays a vital role in their properties. This work aims to characterize 2, 2, 6, 6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl (TEMPO)-oxidized bacterial cellulose powder (TOBCP) films prepared with three different methods (casting, boiling-casting, and boiling-vacuum). It is found that film by casting (CT film) shows the best electrical properties. A light-emitting diode (LED) in a direct current circuit connected to the CT film glows the most brightly. However, this film had lower tensile strength and thermal stability than films from boiling and boiling-vacuum techniques. The boiling-vacuum film presents the most compact fiber structure and the highest tensile and thermal properties. This film also shows the lowest electrical properties and the dimmest LED light. These results demonstrate the TOBCP properties from different methods that can be used to prepare film with desirable properties. © 2024 The Author(s). One-way traffic networks maybe force drivers to bypass blockages to reach their destinations, potentially increasing trip distances. However, it is beneficial for anticipating some traffic problems in most urban traffic conditions—only a few studies concerned the regression approach for predicting road network performance models. As a result, this research aims to use the regression method to forecast the performance model of the road network before and after one-way traffic system implementation. The derived model equations are compared to see which ones substantially impact the road network’s performance. This study relies on secondary data from performance assessments of 26 roads before and after the system during morning peak hours of 06:30–07:30 AM. The independent variables (X) are data from segment analysis used, i.e., Volume (X1), Speed (X2), and Volume (X4), whereas the dependent variable (Y) is Level of Service. By attempting the model prediction multivariate linear regression modeling before the system, Y = 5.647 – 4.376X1+0.009X2+0.0003X4 tend better than others. It provided a more significant impact on LOS than other models provided by R-value 0.951 is higher than the other models. The R-square value is 0.904, which means that 90.4% of LOS is influenced by DS, V, and Q factors. Further research is needed to conduct in the form of additional other factors that can affect LOS.

Expansive soil is one type of problematic soil, overly sensitive to changes in moisture content. This soil has the characteristics of large shrinkage expansion due to changes in pore volume which can cause lifting forces on existing construction can cause damage to the construction. This research aims to analyze the tensile capacity by using a winged box anchor against expansive soil expected to overcome the problem of swelling in expansive soil. The research was conducted experimentally at the Soil Mechanics Laboratory of Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. The materials used in this test were sand and expansive soil taken from Sambungmacan, Sragen, Central Java. The main test equipment used in this test is a steel cylindrical tube. A winged box anchor with a size of 7x7x30 cm is embedded in a steel cylindrical tube containing 75 cm of sand in the bottom layer and 25 cm of expansive soil in the top layer. Then the expansive soil is gradually moistened with water until it reaches a moisture content of 50% to determine its effect on the swelling value. The results of this modeling show that the winged box anchors are promising to reduce the swelling behavior of expansive soil.

Pempek is a traditional ethnic food originated from Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia. Currently, there is not exist any profiles which could be used as a determining factor for quality, originality, and ethnicity of pempek. The objective of this research was to obtain the chemical profile of pempek as a determining factor of quality, originality and ethnicity. The samples were collected from the ten famous branded vendors in Palembang. The fish used in making pempek of the samples are snake head fish, Spanish mackerel, and the mix of snake head and Spanish mackerel. The type of pempek used in this experiment was steamed cook pempek lenjer (cylindrical) type. The analysis was performed at a KAN accredited laboratory. It was found that the energy content of pempek used in this experiment was in the range of 125 to 160 kkal/100 g sample and all the pempek used had a 0% of fat. All pempek used had 17 types of amino acid, and all of them had an essential amino acid. The significant finding was that the concentration of glutamic acid was 200% of the concentration of common concentration which indicated that all the vendors used artificial mono-sodium glutamate to improve the taste of pempek. It was concluded that the chemical profile found on this research could be used as database for creating a standard of identity of pempek. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

As the economy of cities grew at unprecedented rate, urbanites' changing perceptions of the way they see urban space-the city as an entertainment machine-creates a challenge that becomes the background for this study. Malang urbanized area is chosen as the unit of observation due to its potentials as the site for urban tourism development. New tourism icons and economic activities continue to emerge which begs the question as to why such things exist in Malang. Primary and secondary data are garnered through field observation, in-depth interview and from government policy related to tourism development. Mixed method is employed to reveal the effects of tourism sector development on the economic growth of the city. The findings indicate strong correlation between the two;however, cautionary note should be taken as there are many external factors beyond tourism sector development which affect the economic growth of Malang urban area during the observed period. Culinary activities create direct impact as seen through the increase of locally-owned revenues while thematic neighbourhood tourism development affects the local economy and informal sector. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study examines Instagram influencers' social media behavior and providing suggestions for increasing engagement and purchase intentions towards endorsed products via post-effectiveness. Several objectives will be raised in this study: (1) determining the effect of content vividness on social media engagement, (2) determining the impact of social media engagement on purchase intentions, (3) determining the effect of content vividness on purchase intentions. This quantitative study utilizes Partial Least Square (PLS) software as a tool to test validity and reliability and SPSS to test the hypothesis and regression model. With the total of 199 valid respondents participating into this study's survey, the result highlights the positive effects of content vividness in enhancing purchase intentions through mediating variable, namely social media engagement.

Teaching and learning have shifted from synchronous meetings in the classroom and laboratory to virtual synchronous and asynchronous meetings. Teaching and learning can take place anytime and anywhere. The availability of ICT infrastructure is one of the supporting factors for teaching and learning in today's Education 4.0. This article describes the availability of ICT facilities to support blended learning. Accidental sampling was conducted on 56 lecturers of the faculty of engineering, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), who participated in a webinar and filled out polls. The polls revealed that nearly 72% of respondents had subscribed to Internet Service Providers and cellular data packages. Total respondents who own laptops or PCs with Intel Core i3 / AMD Ryzen 3 processor specifications were only 23%, yet a mere 4% still own lower processors specifications. Cloud-based software provided by UNY, such as Microsoft 365, was only used by 46% of respondents. The availability of facilities to support virtual synchronous meetings included headset 96%, Zoom educational license 86%, and interactive application 18%. In contrast, facilities to support asynchronous meetings were owned only by less than 60% of respondents, including condenser or clip-on microphone types, graphic pads, video editing software, screen recording software, and project management software. Facilities to support collaborative asynchronous activities such as Google Workspace were applied by 66% of respondents. The availability of ICT facilities supporting teaching and learning is an indicator of readiness for Education 4.0, and this study shows it needs to be improved.

One of the solutions for fossil fuel crisis is to find alternative energy based on renewable materials. In this research, catalytic cracking of used cooking oil has been investigated to produce biofuel using Cr-charcoal catalyst. The charcoal was produced from solid waste (shell) of palm oil industry. Chromium solutions with various concentrations (1%, 2%, and 3%) were impregnated into charcoal to produce Cr-charcoal catalyst. The catalysts were used for catalytic cracking of used cooking oil at three levels of temperature: 450°C, 500°C and 550°C. The XRD patterns and SEM images of the catalyst showed that the catalyst was in amorphous form. SEM-EDX analysis showed that the Chromium was impregnated into charcoal successfully with amount of Chromium absorbed into charcoal was 0.51%;1.07% and 14.38% respectively. The SEM images also showed that charcoal as supported catalyst and Cr-charcoal catalyst have unique pores. The highest liquid oil fraction was obtained by catalytic cracking at 500°C using 3% Cr-Charcoal catalyst. The liquid product of this process was mainly diesel oil with 8-24 carbon atoms (86.35%) and the rest was liquid product with 6-7 carbon atoms. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Reliability, and continuity of service to customers is the top priority in the power system defense scheme. One important criterion is avoiding instability. Most conventional stability analysis is related to power swings due to frequency variations because the frequency is directly affected by power plant performance. However, in the transmission line, voltage instability is crucial because it practically give direct impact on customers. Especially for high voltage consumers, poor voltage quality is very influential on the performance of industrial equipment such as electric motors, textile machinery, and other electronic equipment, so the voltage quality must be maintained to avoid complaints from these consumers. The merge of frequency and voltage criteria instability is becoming the main focus in recent studies. In a large power system, voltage stability problem usually happens due to excess of electrical demand and deficiency of power generation. To avoid voltage instability, under-voltage load shedding can be an option to remove buses with unstable voltage in the power system. This paper focuses on the Paiton-Situbondo 150 kV transmission lines as the backbone of the power transfer from Java to Bali to investigating the role and effectiveness of the combination of frequency and voltage threshold to maintain the system stability when the faults occur on the transmission lines. © 2020 IEEE.

A double hull tanker is one of the specific ships where the payload is liquid. The payload is an internal load and gives pressure inside the cargo hold. Besides, the external load like wave act simultaneously on the ship during the voyage. Therefore, the ultimate strength of the ship caused by the internal and external loads must be investigated. The objective of the present study is to investigate the ultimate strength characteristic of double hull oil tankers under hogging and sagging conditions. The cross-section of the double hull tanker is modeled using the finite element method to analyze the ultimate strength. The master node is applied to both sides of the cross-section to know the characteristic of the hull girder under hogging and sagging conditions. One side of the master node is constrained, and the other one is given by rotational force. The analytical method is performed, and the result obtained by the numerical method is then compared, including their characteristic in terms of moment-curvature relationship and deformation. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
