This study aimed to determine the potential of coffee skin waste (Coffea robusta L) as a superior compost innovation for the growth of pepper-cutting seedlings (Piper nigrum L). This study used an experimental method with a completely randomized design using five treatments and five repeats, variations in the dose of coffee skin waste used P0 (control), P1 (90 g), P2 (135 g), P3 (180 g), and P4 (225 g). The shoot height, number of leaves, number of roots, and length of roots were measured. The results showed that coffee skin waste compost significantly affected shoot height, especially at P1 (90 g), resulting in an average growth height of 7.24 cm. In addition, the highest number of leaves was found at a concentration of P1 (90 g), with an average of two leaves. Although there was no significant effect on the number of roots, the concentration of P1 (90 g) yielded the best results, with an average of 33 root blades, and the best root length was obtained at the concentration of P1 (90 g), with an average of 44.6 cm. Therefore, coffee skin waste significantly influenced shoot height and the number of leaves on pepper-cut seedlings (Piper nigrum L.) in the P1 treatment (90 g).

Bioretention is one of the stormwater runoff managements to reduce pollutant concentration such as heavy metals and ammonia. However, removal efficiency of bioretention was affected by variation of filter media. So, the aims of this study are to enhance removal efficiency of bioretention system. Three bioretention system were applied on pilot scale sized 30 × 30 × 80 cm3 combined with Iris pseudacorus. Variation of filter media composition of quartz sand and zeolite was used with ratio 1:3, 1:1, 3:1, on reactor 1, 2 and 3, respectively. Synthetic runoff water with different concentration were simulated. The results shown that variations in influent concentrations has small effect on the removal efficiency (20-40%). The average removal efficiency of bioretention 1, 2 and 3 for Pb was 91%, 78%, 83%, respectively, followed 88%, 95%, 94% for Zn and 97%, 98%, 96% for NH3. The combination of quartz sand and zeolite as filter media significantly enhance removal efficiency by 11,5% for NH3, 18% Pb and 20% Zn compared to previous similar research. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

With almost 3.75 million people with visually impaired in Indonesia, according to statistical data shown that most of them not live in prosperity. To increase their productivity they need an assistive device that's allows them to navigate freely. This paper presents a novel Audio guidance system for blind in the shape of simple bag with earphone for giving them an audio guidance efficiently and safety. Different with other audio guidance, we propose a simple system consist of Raspberry Pi Camera and Ultrasonic Sensor as input, Raspberry Pi, Earphone and Power bank. This system is initiated by providing a voice command of the direction where the blind person must walk or go through, so they can avoid from obstacles. We also apply Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) to detect the obstacles along they walk by using 3 ultrasonic sensors. The experimental result shows that by using FLC and interfacing by Raspberry Pi the proposed system can effectively to detect the obstacles and give direction with 2.32% distance error. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Merdeka 2 Material Recovery Facility (MRF) is an organic waste management facility located in West Java. MRF also produces leachate water which came from organic waste that could potentially pollute shallow groundwater around the facility. Purpose of this study is to obtain knowledge regarding amount of MRF's waste intake and composition, composition of leachate water that came from the waste, and the groundwater quality around MRF with parameters including pH, temperature, BOD, COD, Nitrite, Nitrate, Ammonia, KMnO4, Iron (Fe), and Fecal Coliform. Quality of the groundwater was analysed by knowing pollution rate based on pollution index and its association with distance variation from MRF. Results showed that amount waste that came to the facility is 0.954 ton/day with an average of waste volume 1449.20 l/day and consists of 93.4% organic waste and 6.4% non-organic waste. For MRF's leachate water quality showed that pH, temperature, BOD and COD parameters exceeded over required standard. Shallow groundwater around MRF showed that average rate of pH, BOD, COD, Nitrate parameters is still above required standard and other parameters average is still in required standard and there is no significant correlation between distance variation with the groundwater. It can be concluded that the pollution index of the local's shallow groundwater fall into low to mid polluted category. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

We present a shear-velocity model for the Tangkuban Parahu Volcano (TPV) using ambient seismic noise tomography. We used data from a three-month 55-temporary netwok deployed between October 2021 and February 2022. We cross-correlated the vertical components at each station to extract an empirical Green's function, to generate group velocity maps within the periodicity range of 1 to 6.5 s. We then construct a three-dimensional model of shear-wave velocity to a depth of 5 km below the summit. Our analysis revealed distinct patterns of high and low velocity values, associated with the presence of the old Sunda caldera, unmapped local structures, and surface geothermal manifestation around TPV. We identified low velocity zones indicative of shallow reservoirs and pathways for magma migration from the subsurface to surface crater. Additionally, high velocity zones observed, correspond to cooled magmatic bodies.

Reinforced concrete slab are widely used in civil buildings, including as building floors, roof floors, bridge floors and dock floors. The load acting on the slab is generally calculated against gravitational loads. This study aims to analyse floor slab in One Residence Batam Center Apartment Construction Project. The moment method is used to predict the magnitude of frame and shrinkage values that refer to 2002 of SNI. Loading is carried out from dead loads and live loads with a two-way reinforcement system. Reinforcement is done using steel with a diameter of 10 mm. So that the minimum area is 313 mm square with a distance of 250 mm and is in the safe category. From the calculation results obtained the concrete elastic modulus obtained by 250 MPa with a reinforcement ratio of 0.0025. Checking the time dependency factor for dead loads is carried out within 3 months, 6 months, 12 months and more than 5 years. Long-term deflection due to frame and shrinkage is still in the safe category. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Instrument current transformers (CTs) are widely used in various types of electrical energy measurement. Eddy current losses, losses of hysteresis, a saturation of CT, and inevitable flux leaks could lead to errors including errors in the ratio and phase angle. Improving the accuracy of CT measurement could be achieved in many ways. In this study, a bisection calibration method to overcome the error by implementing correction factor integrated with the Arduino codes is investigated. The reliability of this system has been tested in two different situations, which are a constant and variable load experiments. The result shows that the readout of the developed instrument using 100 A/50mA CT could achieve the deviation value of less than 2%, confirming the excellence accuracy of energy meter. © 2019 IEEE.

Project is a set of interrelated activities and requires skills from different professions, and also project is involved the various of stakeholders in each phase of the Project Life Cycle. Implementation of Green Supply Chain in construction projects meant to bring the concept of eco-friendly in every process from the initiation phase, planning phase, the construction phase, and the operation and maintenance phase. It is necessary to identify indicators of green initiation and green design and how to explain the relationship between the role of initiation by the owner and the design process by a design consultant. This study aims to identify the indicators of green initiation and green design concept as part of Green Supply Chain. The method used for this study is a descriptive research that identifies and develop a framework for implementing green initiation and green design in construction industry that consists of concept, dimensions, elements, and indicators. GSCM in construction projects was determined by 9 indicators in the green initiation phase and 40 indicators in the green design phase. The success of green concept in construction project is very determined from these two phases as the beginning of the process, and the most important parties are the owners and design consultants. © 2019 The Authors, published by EDP Sciences.

The increasing demand for cement in the world of construction can have an extraordinary effect, especially in the production of cement which produces CO2. So we need an alternative material as a substitute and even replace the role of cement. Utilization of coal waste in the form of fly ash is in the spotlight to be maximized. Therefore this research was conducted as an alternative contribution to the solution using geopolymer concrete in terms of setting time and compressive strength with variations in the addition of cement. The method used is experimental in the laboratory which produces qualitative data for further numerical calculations. Tests focused on the setting time and compressive strength of concrete using 5 mix designs with cement variations ranging from 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% of the use of fly ash. The results of the setting time with the highest duration, namely 100% FA=1.5, 95 minutes initial setting time and 225 minutes final setting time, then decreased to the lowest duration, namely 60% FA: Pc 40%=1.5. The initial setting time is 15 minutes and the final setting time is 37 minutes. The highest concrete compressive strength results in the MD 4 mix design with 70% FA mixture: Pc 30%=1.5, which is 43.3 MPa. While the lowest compressive strength is the design mix MD 1 with a mixture of 100% FA=1.5 of 21.8 MPa.

Transformer is one of the main components in distribution system of electrical power system towards the consumers, thereby any damage to the transformers will hinder the distribution of electricity towards the consumers, and in turn will make the SAIDI and SAIFI levels go up. High temperature in transformers can cause degradation in the insulation of transformers which in turn will cause failure in transformers. When the temperature in winding reaches or goes beyond the limit of 110°C, a degradation in insulation will start happening and the remaining life of transformers will decrease. Damage in transformers will cause disturbance in electrical power system and result in a major economic loss. Before damages occur, transformers need to be changed up until it is deemed to be no longer efficient, this can be done by replacing the transformer that is about to be damaged. To predict when a transformer is about to break, a calculation is made based on thermal modelling according to IEEE Std C57.91-1995 with its most prominent variable being Hot Spot Temperature (HST). HST is obtained by MATLAB programming using Annex G of IEEE Std. C57.91-1995. By obtaining HST, thus the remaining lifetime of transformers can be predicted. This study analysed the effect of loading, hot-spot temperature, and ambient temperature on the remaining lifetime of a transformer. The higher those three factors, the quicker the transformer will break, with loss of life percentage increasing exponentially. The highest loading, hot spot temperature, and ambient temperature given in this research gives percent loss of life of 0.0888332%, 0.0193394%, 0.020753% respectively. © 2019 IEEE.
