In this study, Aluminium 1100-H12 with 1 mm thick was welded using pin-less friction stir spot welding (PFSSW) and then tested via tensional shear test to determine the tensile shear load (TSL) characteristics of its welds. The results obtained revealed that the tensile shear load of the welds was influenced by the parameter variations among revolving speed, depth of tool, and residence time. The clout of 1400 rpm revolving speed showed good properties with the highest value of TSL about 53 MPa at a depth of tool of 0.4 mm and at 9s of residence time. The middle value of TSL was confirmed at about 35 MPa through 990 rpm of revolving speed, 0.3 mm depth of tool, and 5s of residence time. Furthermore, the lowest property of TSL was found at 775 rpm of revolving speed, at 0.2 mm depth of tool, and at 9s of residence time. The results showed the influence of the depth of the tool has significant clout on the tensile shear load, especially at 0.4 mm for each set of revolving speed and residence time. Each set of dwell time to the variation of parameters has no significant clout on the tensile shear load. Good tensile shear loads can be achieved in the range of 45-53 MPa at a depth of tool of 0.4 mm and a revolving speed of 1400 rpm, where the best is 53 MPa at a residence time of 9 seconds.

The digitalization in the 21st century has brought tremendous benefits in many aspects of human lives, including in education. It opens the door of observing the phenomena that are difficult to do in classrooms. As phenomena observation is a vital activity in learning science, the technology of augmented reality (AR) will help students digitally observe as many phenomena as possible during their learning process. In this study, a science book that is integrated with AR technology was developed. It aims to fill the gap in the literature of what components should be included in an AR-based science book, especially the learning resource that is suitable for STEAM education. The study was limited to environmental pollution and global warming topics. The results showed that the developed AR-based science book has met the eligibility criteria to be used in STEAM education. In terms of numerical viewpoint, the scores for the feasibility test were 96.09% and 97.65% respectively for the learning media and material validation. Therefore, the AR-based science book is considered as a valid learning resource from the expert assessment. In addition, teachers and students also showed positive perspectives towards the AR-integrated book.

Mining water is one of the main problems that has a great importance on mine productivity. In mining implementation, it is necessary to study the Mining Water (Hydrogeology) system to support a good mine design. The Mining Water drainage system is a method for making work sites in the mining area always dry. Prior to mining, hydrogeological analysis and rainwater management methods are carried out. Calculation of rainfall intensity using Gumbel Probability estimation and water capture area analysis obtained CA-1 Q = 915, 35, m3 / day CA-2 Q = 1149, CA-3 Q = 141116, 01CA-4 Q = 1407.89, the form of rainwater trapping channels in the form of trapezium and pump requirements in each catchment area of 1 (one) pump each.

Preliminary studies have successfully been conducted on the physical characterization and tribological behavior of oil palm fiber-reinforced composites based on unsaturated polyester and oil palm ash. In an effort to initiate segregation of composite particles, oil palm ash was used as a segregation agent to increase the surface roughness of the material. The composite preparation method was carried out using the hand lay-up technique for 1 hour at 100 °C. Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide was used as a hardening agent to increase the hardness of the composite. The composite that contained 10 wt.% oil palm fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester-oil palm ash showed the lowest porosity and highest density values compared to the other samples. The decrease in porosity and increase in density can be attributed to the incorporation of 10 wt.% oil palm fiber, which promotes increased segregation of the composite particles, leading to an overall volume increase. Furthermore, the increase in density results in a drastic decrease in the rate of water absorption. The sample with the optimal wear level also had the lowest value compared to the other samples, and this reduction in wear and tear is supported by the high coefficient of friction it exhibits.

A mid-level labor preparation having the qualification and competency appropriate with working world needs is a task from vocational secondary school (VSS). Now days, VSS become an attention by wide community, as a result of the existence of government policy which is trying to empowering vocational secondary education. The policy taken is by performing the revitalization of vocational school which has the aim to improve the quality of labor competitiveness. One of the programs is teacher quality improvement through various teacher training. However, relating to this case, it is suspected that the previous vocational school teacher training is less effective, so that it needs to be conducted the analysis about the teacher training implementation. Therefore, this article will be elaborated the ways needed to be conducted in improving the educational quality and vocational school teacher development training. The ways should be considered when it is planned and implemented the effective training program, such as: determining the needs, setting the goal, determining the content of learning, selecting the participants, determining the best schedule, selecting the appropriate facilities, selecting the proper instructor, selecting and preparing the audiovisual equipment, coordinating the program and evaluating the program.

This paper discusses the design of a passive filter system for Energy-Saving Lamps (LHE) and Light Emitting Diodes (LED) using the MATLAB Simulink software. This type of lamp is a type of non-linear load that produces harmonics of current and voltage. However, this harmonic problem can be reduced using passive filters. To determine the size of the passive filter components, research was carried out in the form of measurements of power, power factor, voltage, current, THDi and THDv produced by the LHE and LED. The results of these measurements were simulated using MATLAB Simulink to determine the passive filter design that reduces the THD value on the LHE and LED. To reduce the level of current harmonics, a single tuned LC passive filter was designed. The filter, designed to work at a frequency of 50 Hz and is expected to reduce the level of harmonics in the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th harmonic orders so that the THD produced by LHE and LED meets the IEEE 519-2014 standards. The simulation results of single tuned LC passive filter design can reduce THDi by 46.78% from the initial THD of 84.55% so that it becomes 37.77%.

Coal's price collapse has become a challenge in exploring and exploiting coal deposits in the mining industry. Total sulfur is one of the coal qualities sufficiently considered in the use of coal. The Geostatistics method using ordinary kriging estimation is done to determine the total sulfur variation in the coal seam. Modelling was performed on every three meters of coal thickness using 193 samples on a seam of coal with a thickness of up to 30 meters. Geostatistical modelling is implemented on the coal seam, and it produces ten sulfur distribution models. The modelling results show clearly that in the model in the first layer, the distribution of sulfur is higher in value than other layers. These results expected can help select mining stages and exploration drilling activities in the context of increasing coal reserves.

The sea has economic potential such as marine tourism, energy, maritime industry, marine transportation, marine building and services, and fisheries. Indonesia has fishery resources with high biodiversity and easily accessible (renewable resources). Indonesia's fishery production reached approximately 12.6 million tonnes, of which marine catch accounted for about 6.71 million tonnes, inland capture for 0.51 million tonnes and the rest is in aquacultures. In addition, Indonesia is facing the problem of illegal fishing by foreign fishing vessels from Thailand, Vietnam, China, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan and Cambodia. Foreign fishing vessels conducting illegal fishing are not only found in the EEZ, but also in territorial and archipelagic waters. Based on the findings of this study, the illegal fishing policy has a positive impact by reducing illegal fishing activities in the short term and increasing fisheries stocks. However, negative impacts were also found, the national fisheries business has decreased by number, especially local fishermen business, so that fishermen are unable to optimize their capture fisheries activities. Some local fishermen benefit economically from illegal fishing, this is what causes illegal fishing activities to continue. The policies that have been implemented have not been optimal in ensuring that fishermen are more prosperous. A sovereign state not only owns the territory and defends it from foreign disturbances, but must realize the welfare of its people, including fishermen. The purpose of this research is to see the effectiveness of fisheries policies in Indonesia to tackle illegal fisheries and improve fishermen's welfare. This research uses regulation analysis and Actor Network Theory to analyze the effectiveness of fishery policies
