The purpose of this study is to Minimize the purchase cost for each food from the catering menu. Therefore, raw material inventory control method is needed to plan arrival schedule, order schedule, and the amount of ordering of each foodstuff. The technique of deterMining the amount of ordering (lotting technique) used there are three, namely the least unit cost technique, the lot for lot technique and the least total cost technique. The results of this study indicate that the company can Minimize the cost of purchasing food based on lead time, storage time limit, and optimal lotting techniques. Lead time is the period between the order to the delivery time, the storage time limit is how long the best time required for the quality of foodstuffs are maintained, while the lotting technique is the optimal size of order quantity. The lotting technique chosen for each type of food material is different. The cost of purchasing the food consists of the price of the foodstuff, the ordering fee for the type of material and the storage cost for the type of foodstuff. There are 16 types of foodstuffs with the cost of purchasing the smallest raw material with the lot for lot techniques. There are 29 types of foodstuffs with the cost of purchasing the smallest raw materials using the least unit cost techniques. And 10 types of foodstuffs with the least total cost technique as a lotting technique with the purchase of the smallest raw material. Of the 55 types of food raw materials, the company was able to save the cost of purchasing groceries of 33,006,371.75 IDR per month. Of course, in order to apply this planning, the company must provide facilities in order to extend the life of the foodstuff in accordance with predeterMined lead time and to ensure the quality of the foodstuff is guaranteed. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Effect of papaya gum ratio per solvent volume and sonication time in bio-insecticide production using NaDES solvents with ultrasonic waves

As an agricultural country, Indonesia has considerable agricultural potential towards development of the national economy. However, the potential itself must be followed by the improvement quality of the agriculture. Armyworm (Spodoptera sp.) is one of the pests that damages various kinds of plants and leads to harm the agricultural sector. One of the ways to control armyworm pests is to provide organic pesticides (bio-insecticides) which are biodegradable and safe for human health. The papain enzyme is one the enzymes obtained from the gum of papaya which functions as a bio-insecticides. The gum of papaya itself comes from waste papaya skin which its availability is abundant in Indonesia. The method that can be used to get the papain enzyme from papaya's gum is the extraction through the help of ultrasonic waves. Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NaDES) was chosen as a solvent because its environmentally friendly, to extract the enzyme papain which later will be made into a bio-insecticides. The sonication time of 10, 20, and 30 minutes and the mass ratio of gum per volume of solvents 20, 40, and 60 mg/mL were varied to obtain the optimum conditions in the extraction process which were seen from the results of protein concentration test, enzymatic activity test, and efficacy test. The result of the study showed that 20 minutes and a concentration of 20 mg/mL were the optimum conditions for the extraction process of the papain enzyme. In addition, the use of NaDES solvents compares to ethanol solvents as commonly used solvents, showed that the extraction results with NaDES solvents were better than the results of ethanol solvents.

The effect of time cultivation in production of AA and EPA from Aspergillus oryzae with three-stage fermentation strategy

Cardiovascular disease is the second biggest killer in Indonesia. The percentage risk of stricken by this disease is so high in community. Which are actually this disease can be prevent with dietary consumes of omega 3 and omega 6 such as AA and EPA. Omega 3 and omega 6 is often found in fish oil. However, the fish availability and the quality of Indonesia’s ocean that tainted with heavy metals can be dangerous and also become the biggest problems of production omega 3 and omega 6 from fish. With the problem above the alternative sources of omega 3 and omega 6 is needed. Whereas the source must be able to produce oil in large number without taking a large amount of land and also economic. In this research, the fermentation of Aspergillus oryzae process with three-stage fermentation strategy with variation of time culture. This fermentation method divided into three stage where the first stage focused in cell propagation and second stage focused in lipid biosynthesis and the last stage for production of AA and EPA. In each stage the medium was design to be specific with the purpose. The time culture variation run in second and third stage. The most optimal cultivation time that run in second stage was 2 days with 17.2% lipid productivity or equal to 0.1341 g, on the other hand the most optimal cultivation time that run in third stage was 1 days with 54.51% Unsaturated fatty acid and 36.73% saturated fatty acid. The composition of unsaturated fatty acids is 29.1% oleic acid, 25.4% linoleic acid, 0.01% AA and 0.01% EPA.

This study presents stability analysis using a new approach to model the disturbances that occur in multi-machine systems connected with wind turbines. Consideration of stability and operability of conventional electric power systems planning and developing facing problems with the integration of installations in wind power plants (WPP) is needed because the current system is connected with renewable energy. This study highlighting the effects of WPP connected to a multi-engine 9 bus system from the effect of changes in disturbances occurring on several buses when operating. Disruption in multi-machine systems connected with wind turbines can affect system stability. The noise changes from bus to bus in the voltage drop effect on the system bus. The effect of wind turbine when a fault has a small moment of inertia can make the system unstable on the bus. The results of simulations carried out using ETAP to observe system stability have been carried out. The simulation results show that a system disruption that occurs in a multi engine system connected to the wind turbine does not result in a decrease in the bus near the fault then the stability decreases.

Patuha Geothermal System is a volcanic hydrothermal system. In this type of system, the boundary of the system is often determined by low resistivity (10 ohm.m) anomaly from Magnetotelluric (MT) or DC-Resistivity survey. On the contrary, during geothermal exploration, the system boundary often need to be determined as early as possible even prior of resistivity data available. Thus, a method that use early stage survey data must be developed properly to reduce the uncertainty of the geothermal area extent delineation at the time the geophysical data unavailable. Geological field mapping, volcanostratigraphy analysis and fluid chemistry of thermal water and cold water are the data available at the early stage of exploration. This study integrates this data to delineate the geothermal system boundary. The geological mapping and volcanostratigraphy are constructed to limit the extent of thermal and cold springs. It results that springs in the study area are controlled hydrologically by topography of Patuha Volcanic Crown (complex) or so called PVC, the current geothermal field and Masigit Volcanic Crown (complex) or so called MVC, the dormant volcano not associated with active geothermal system. Some of the cold springs at PVC are contaminated by subsurface steam heated outflow while others are not contaminated. The contaminated cold springs have several characteristics such as higher water temperature than ambient temperature at the time it was measured, higher total disolved solid (TDS), and lower pH. The soluble elements analysis support the early contamination indication by showing higher cation and anion, and positive oxygen shifting of stable isotope of these cool springs. Where as the uncontaminated spring shows similar characteristic with cool springs occur at MVC. The boundary of the system is delineated by an arbitrary line drawn between distal thermal springs from the upflow or contaminated cool springs with the cool uncontaminated springs. This boundary is

Electrospinning technique is a method to produce nanofiber with high potential difference. Several main parameters in the electrospinning process are solution parameter, such as viscosity, surface tension and conductivity. Those parameters affect the morphology of nanofiber membrane produced by the electrospinning process. This study used 10% PVA in aquadest with several Aloe vera concentration (0, 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10 % w/v). The viscosity of the solution increased when the concentration of the Aloe vera increased. SEM image of the nanofiber membrane showed that the diameter of the nanofiber increased with the increase of the Aloe vera concentration, with the highest diameter of 379.80 nm on the membrane with Aloe vera concentration of 10% w/v. The result of DSC test showed that there were shifts on the glass transition (Tg) and melting point (Tm) value along with the addition of Aloe vera in the PVA solution. This results was also emphasized with the result of FTIR test which showed the shift on the wavenumber absorbance due to the crosslinking between PVA and Aloe vera. The degradation test indicated that the presence of crosslinking could maintain the nanofiber structure, thus the membrane was not easily degraded. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Muarajambi Temple Compound situated in the side of a river in Jambi Province, Indonesia. Due to its vicinity to the river, the compound has experienced various geological event associated to the river sedimentation, such as river flood and alluvial sedimentation. We have collected two soil sample from beneath an excavated human-made structure in the sideway of a river. The first sample was collected right in bottom of the structure, while the second sample was collected around 20cm beneath the structure. Taking sample right beneath the structure is ideal for the analyses because this would avoid contamination after the temple construction. The pollen and spore content from these samples were analysed to understand its variation. From the analyses, we found that the first younger sample has larger AP (arboreal pollen) percentage but smaller NAP (non-arboreal pollen) compared to the second sample. This indicate that the vegetation is less dense in the first sample. This study might indicate the environmental changes due to human activities, particularly human activities around the temple compound which led to the construction of the temple compound itself.

The provision of more comprehensive bathymetric data, for not just apply to the modern marine application but also the development of national data infrastructure. This demand has created a series of development in bathymetric data acquisition throughout the year from the lead line, ship-borne sounding, to air-borne Lidar. However, it has pros and cons in each bathymetric data acquisition related to cost, time, manpower and accessibility. The integration idea drives from the successful of Satellite-Derived Bathymetry technique in solving the problem, moreover, this the way to achieve the data with a uniform resolution in acceptable time and cost. Therefore, this study conducted to generate bathymetric mapping at '`Pantai Tok Jembal'' using Single Band Algorithm (SBA) for two visible bands (Blue and Green) and Green Band Algorithm (GBA). Two comparative analysis conducted in this study first is between SBA-Blue and SBA-Green to evaluate the ability of each band to estimate bathymetry at '`Pantai Tok Jembal'' shallow-coastal water area and while second is between SBA-Green and GBA method to evaluate the ability of each statistical approach in computing absolute water depth. Further, the result evaluated using SBES ground truth data. The root mean square error (RMSE) and R-squared (R 2 ) computed between Single Beam Echo Sounding (SBES) data and Satellite-Derived Bathymetry (SBA and GBA), and the result shows that SBA-Green stand out in both analysis; moreover, this study successfully produces 49.69 km 2 area (Extended Area) bathymetric mapping at '`Pantai Tok Jembal'', Terengganu, Malaysia. However, to support marine application and national data infrastructure, it requires more comprehensive bathymetric data which is giving high in accuracy and reliability, further research needs to undertake to fulfil this support.

Evaluating the availability of facilities in the elderly park in terms of environmental sustainability

Bandung City has many thematic parks spread across several districts. One of them is Taman Lansia (Elderly Garden). Although according to Bandung City Government that parks are intended for all age groups, there should be a target for visitors based on different age groups in each park based on the theme. The elderly has physical and psychological limitations that cause the elderly age have special needs that are different from the productive and pre-productive age communities, so special facilities are needed for the elderly in Bandung. Based on observation, existing facilities in Taman Lansia had not been able to cover the elderly needs. So that, the purpose of the study was identifying visitor characteristics and analyzing the facilities needed at Taman Lansia according to the elderly characteristics. The data collection methods were getting observation and interviews. The variables must fulfill criteria for facility that the elderly needs, such as accessibility, security, and convenience. The analysis methods were descriptive analysis. This study indicated that Taman Lansia visitors were dominated by elderly residents. There were several types of facilities that have not been provided in accordance with the characteristics of the elderly such as ramp handrails. The available facilities did not consider the characteristics and needs of the elderly.

The effect of urban tourism on an urban economy (the case of Malang Municipality)

As the economy of cities grew at unprecedented rate, urbanites' changing perceptions of the way they see urban space – the city as an entertainment machine – creates a challenge that becomes the background for this study. Malang urbanized area is chosen as the unit of observation due to its potentials as the site for urban tourism development. New tourism icons and economic activities continue to emerge which begs the question as to why such things exist in Malang. Primary and secondary data are garnered through field observation, in-depth interview and from government policy related to tourism development. Mixed method is employed to reveal the effects of tourism sector development on the economic growth of the city. The findings indicate strong correlation between the two; however, cautionary note should be taken as there are many external factors beyond tourism sector development which affect the economic growth of Malang urban area during the observed period. Culinary activities create direct impact as seen through the increase of locally-owned revenues while thematic neighbourhood tourism development affects the local economy and informal sector.
