One of the technologies expected to improve the quality of flexible pavement is to use a modified asphalt mixture of Crumb Rubber (CR). The material can be used as a very thin added layer which is then called Very Thin Overlay Modified Crumb Rubber (VTO Mod-CR) and the functions as a leveling layer. This asphalt mixture is expected to have high durability and increase the age service life of flexible pavement. The aim of this study was to analyze the design mix formula (DMF) and the durability of the asphalt mixture. This research carried out variations of asphalt content i.e. 6.0%, 6.5%, 7.0%, 7.5% and 8.0% with each variation of 3 specimens for Marshall Test. Based on the DMF analysis results obtained optimum asphalt content of 7.00%, while the properties of the mixture in the form of bulk density of 2.240, VIM of 3.77%, VMA of 18.15%, VFA of 79.23%, Stability of 1049 kg, Flow of 3.47 mm, Marshall Quotient of 251 kg / mm, Bitumen Film Thickness 16.08 µm. The results of the analysis of the mixture properties have met specifications General of Highways, so it can be used as a reference for AMP. The BFT value obtained meets the minimum specification specifications of 16 µm, this shows that the resistance to water and oxidation is higher, so the pavement becomes durable.

Red Mussels is a food ingredient that is quite popular in East Java. However, the content of heavy metal (Pb) red mussels is quite high above the threshold that is permitted for human consumption, which is below 1.5 ppm. Therefore, the presence of high Pb levels must be reduction according to the specified threshold. The research was conducted in two steps. The first step, Red mussel's extraction using Tamarind solution. Tamarind contains organic acids, one of which is citric acid which acts as a metal binding agent so as to reduce the metal content. The second stage of extracting red mussels uses pure citric acid, then the results are compared. The optimum results obtained at the time of extraction and concentration using tamarind was 60 minutes and 25%, the effectiveness of citric acid in tamarind was 98.89% (initial Pb 17.19 ppm to 0.25 ppm) while pure citric acid was 99.97 % (Initial Pb 17,199 ppm to 0,004 ppm).

The fermentation process is an important indicator of cocoa beans' quality. The standard method used is the Magra test by splitting the cocoa beans and observing the color of the beans with the naked eye to estimate the degree of fermentation. Although, manual estimation systems require specific expertise, which can lead to inconsistency in predicting cocoa bean fermentation rate. This research aims to develop a classification model of two categories of cocoa, i.e., fermented and unfermented cocoa, using computer vision and a machine learning model. Image analysis has been carried out, and color features have been used to train and compare several classification models. After analyzing the data, it was found out that a model that can quantify the standard and accurate measurement of the degree of fermentation of cocoa beans using artificial neural network models so that it can segment, calculate, and grade classification by using color feature extraction, which is the average value of RGB and L*a*b. The Artificial Neural Network (ANN) Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) has been found to be superior compared to other models achieving training and validation accuracy of 94%.

Cassava is widely cultivated in South East Asia countries like Indonesia. However, ordinary cassava flour cannot substitute wheat flour due to lack of gluten. Fermented cassava flour (fercaf) is a protein enriched cassava flour which is produced from a fermentation process of cassava flakes by lactic acid bacteria. Fercaf may serve as substitution to wheat flour, especially in pasta production. Nevertheless, a number of modifications should be exercise in product formulation to meet the ordinary 'wheat base' pasta product specifications. The current study was focus on these modifications i.e., addition of other flour and addition of hydrocolloids. The properties of pasta such as elasticity, yield, cooking weight, hardness, stickiness as well as sensory property were examined to determine the best pasta formulation. The results show that pasta made from fercaf with the addition of rice and corn flour gave strong and elastic texture while hydrocolloid addition increased water-binding of the pasta. The final pasta formulation included ratio of fercaf:rice:corn flour by 70:10:20 and addition of 2,5% xanthan gum.
