The Faculty of computer science, Universitas Brawijaya (Filkom UB) is committed to providing quality services for the users especially internal and external stakeholders, one of which is through the HaloFilkom service. HaloFilkom services have limitations in terms of time. HaloFilkom services are not available 24 hours due to limited working hours. Questions asked by users are not answered directly. This weakness in the HaloFilkom system can be overcome by using a chatbot system. Chatbot is an interactive system that works with natural human language and can work 24 hours. Thus, the current study explores the basic chatbot model by classifying the Q&A in the closed domain knowledge. The dataset in this research is in the form of pairs of questions and answers regarding various topics at the Filkom UB. The knowledge is preprocessed using text preprocessing which includes case folding, tokenization, padding, and tensorization. One of the chatbot models is a generative model. Creating a generative chatbot model can be done using the Seq2Seq model mechanism which consists of an encoder and decoder. The model created consists of four different architectures, namely a model with an LSTM encoder without attention and with attention and a BiLSTM model encoder without attention and with attention. Hyperparameter tuning was conducted to obtain the best hyperparameter combination. The experiment results show the best hyperparameter combination obtained is hidden size 448, drop out rate 0.5, learning rate 0.001, batch size 64, and teacher force 0. The model with the best loss is obtained with a BiLSTM encoder architecture without an attention mechanism with a train loss of 0.120. The model with the highest BLEU Score was obtained by a model with a BiLSTM encoder architecture without an attention mechanism with a BLEU Score of 0.8587 on the training data. Skin cancer is the most prevalent cancer globally,primarily due to extensive exposure to Ultraviolet(UV)*** identification of skin cancer enhances the likelihood of effective treatment,as delays may lead to severe tumor *** study proposes a novel hybrid deep learning strategy to address the complex issue of skin cancer diagnosis,with an architecture that integrates a Vision Transformer,a bespoke convolutional neural network(CNN),and an Xception *** were evaluated using two benchmark datasets,HAM10000 and Skin Cancer *** the HAM10000,the model achieves a precision of 95.46%,an accuracy of 96.74%,a recall of 96.27%,specificity of 96.00%and an F1-Score of 95.86%.It obtains an accuracy of 93.19%,a precision of 93.25%,a recall of 92.80%,a specificity of 92.89%and an F1-Score of 93.19%on the Skin Cancer ISIC *** findings demonstrate that the model that was proposed is robust and trustworthy when it comes to the classification of skin *** addition,the utilization of Explainable AI techniques,such as Grad-CAM visualizations,assists in highlighting the most significant lesion areas that have an impact on the decisions that are made by the model.

Airplanes are a social necessity for movement of humans,goods,and *** are generally safe modes of transportation;however,incidents and accidents occasionally *** prevent aviation accidents,it is necessary to develop a machine-learning model to detect and predict commercial flights using automatic dependent surveillance–broadcast *** study combined data-quality detection,anomaly detection,and abnormality-classification-model *** research methodology involved the following stages:problem statement,data selection and labeling,prediction-model development,deployment,and *** data labeling process was based on the rules framed by the international civil aviation organization for commercial,jet-engine flights and validated by expert commercial *** results showed that the best prediction model,the quadratic-discriminant-analysis,was 93%accurate,indicating a“good fit”.Moreover,the model’s area-under-the-curve results for abnormal and normal detection were 0.97 and 0.96,respectively,thus confirming its“good fit”.

A company definitely needs employees to help in its business processes. These employees are generated from the recruitment process. Errors in the recruitment process will have an impact on the company's productivity and reputation. Therefore, when a division or part of a company that handles employee recruitment requires a technique or method that can provide recommendations for employees to be recruited as needed. One method that can be used to support the decision of which employee to accept or hire is the Multi Objective Optimization by Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method. The results of calculations using MOORA based on the criteria set by the company with prospective employees applying for administrative positions state that alternative 1 (A1) gets a preference value (Yi) of 0.40 (the highest score obtained compared to the alternatives), this shows if this method can be applied to provide recommendations on which employees should be recruited according to company needs with simple and easy-to-understand calculations. © 2023 IEEE.

Kindergarten education has a very important role in shaping the foundation of child development. For parents, see reports on the achievement of children's development at school through the results of each semester's assessment. The process of preparing teacher assessments uses 4 types of assessments, one of which is anecdotal record assessment. However, teachers experience problems in analyzing the topics in children's anecdotal notes so that the results become less clear. In addition, it is still done manually so it takes a long time to analyze. Assessment of children's anecdotal notes is an assessment in the form of a record of events that occur to children while at school. Anecdotal notes are in the form of text data, therefore this research aims to find out the topics in children's anecdotal notes data by utilizing topic modeling using the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) method. The children's anecdotal notes data is used as one dataset with a total of 276 collected directly from YBPK Sidorejo Kindergarten, after which data preprocessing is carried out in the form of case folding, remove punctuation, tokenizing, stopwords, and stemming. In the LDA topic modeling research using the Gensim library, 5 experiments were carried out by determining the number of different iterations, and displaying a range of 2-10 topics for each experiment. Analysis and evaluation using coherence score to determine the optimal number of topics by looking at the highest coherence score value in the experiment conducted. The analysis results in 3 topics with a coherence score of 0.4704 and 40 iterations or passes. © 2024 IEEE.

Credit card default prediction using ML and DL techniques

The banking sector is widely acknowledged for its intrinsic unpredictability and susceptibility to risk. Bank loans have emerged as one of the most recent services offered over the past several decades. Banks typically serve as intermediaries for loans, investments, short-term loans, and other types of credit. The usage of credit cards is experiencing a steady increase, thereby leading to a rise in the default rate that banks encounter. Although there has been much research investigating the efficacy of conventional Machine Learning (ML) models, there has been relatively less emphasis on Deep Learning (DL) techniques. The application of DL approaches to credit card default prediction has not been extensively researched despite their considerable potential in numerous fields. Moreover, the current literature frequently lacks particular information regarding the DL structures, hyperparameters, and optimization techniques employed. To predict credit card default, this study evaluates the efficacy of a DL model and compares it to other ML models, such as Decision Tree (DT) and Adaboost. The objective of this research is to identify the specific DL parameters that contribute to the observed enhancements in the accuracy of credit card default prediction. This research makes use of the UCI ML repository to access the credit card defaulted customer dataset. Subsequently, various techniques are employed to preprocess the unprocessed data and visually present the outcomes through the use of exploratory data analysis (EDA). Furthermore, the algorithms are hypertuned to evaluate the enhancement in prediction. We used standard evaluation metrics to evaluate all the models. The evaluation indicates that the AdaBoost and DT exhibit the highest accuracy rate of 82 % in predicting credit card default, surpassing the accuracy of the ANN model, which is 78 %. © 2024 The Authors

Optimizing therapy and rehabilitation for Parkinson's disease (PD) requires early identification and precise evaluation of the illness's course. However, there is disagreement about the best way to use gait analysis to categorize the severity of motor symptoms and identify early-stage Parkinson's disease. The precision of machine learning (ML) models in identifying early and intermediate stages of Parkinson's disease was assessed in this study. Six ML models are used in this study for the prediction of PD. Different metrics are used to evaluate ML models such as accuracy, precision, recall, f1-score, and AUC score. Then we propose a multi-criteria decision-making methodology (MCDM) to evaluate the ML models and select the best one. Two MCDM methods are used such as CRITIC method to compute the criteria weights and the TOPSIS method to rank the alternatives. These methods are used under the bipolar neutrosophic sets (BNSs) to deal with uncertainty information. The results show the support vector machine is the best ML model for the prediction of PD. © 2025, University of New Mexico. All rights reserved.

Additive manufacturing, mainly 3D printing, has emerged as a transformative technology with widespread applications across various industries. Despite its advancements, filament brittleness remains a significant challenge, undermining the quality and reliability of printed objects. In order to address this challenge, this study built a specialized temperature and humidity management system specifically for 3D printing applications. The system utilizes a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control technique to regulate the temperature within the filament storage environment, mitigating the impact of thermal fluctuations and moisture absorption. The system has been carefully developed and tested to assure optimal printing conditions, exceptional filament quality, and uniform print accuracy and precision. Since hardware testing confirms minimum disparities between sensor readings and reference measurements, reliability in environmental management is ensured for optimized print outcomes. Moreover, software testing ensures the PID controller's efficient functionality by providing real-time monitoring and control capabilities. Functional testing reveals the system's effectiveness in maintaining optimal storage conditions for various filament types, improving the quality of prints, and minimizing waste. Incorporating essential components such as sensors, actuators, and user interface elements guarantees seamless operation and intuitive engagement. © 2024 IEEE.
