This paper discusses computer vision-based sign language by utilizing landmark detection and Scikit-Learn. The objective of this research is to develop a model that proficient in the accurate recognition of hand gestures specific to sign language. Pictures of hand gestures are taken using a camera and hand landmark are detected by utilizing MediaPipe. Following to landmark detection, a machine learning model is developed using Scikit-Learn employing features extracted from these landmarks. Evaluation of the model using the Indonesian sing language (SIBI) yielded competitive result, proving the efficacy of the proposed model without specific hardware. This work significantly improves the communication technology for the deaf, leveraging computer vision to broaden the research opportunity in sign language recognition utilizing available equipment. The accuracy obtained from this model is $100 \%$ which means the classification is correct, and reinforces the effectiveness of the approach to the recognition and classification of hand movements in sign language.

Security and privacy remain as a significant challenge in the distributed Internet of Things (IoT) framework. IoT has already demonstrated that it can significantly impact our daily lives. The internet sends and receives a large volume of data from different devices present worldwide. IoT comprises of heterogeneous units present across a wide variety of networks to communicate sensitive and non-critical data, resulting in significant challenges in terms of protecting and ownership of the data collected from users. The Internet security architecture developed in a constrained location, such as healthcare, is presented in this research work. Across a range of networks and PCs, the system offers safe data sharing and authentication mechanism. The proposed design is based on the blockchain technology's underlying structure and the usage of secure hazarding. This research study has attempted to propose a technique for improving IoT security using elliptic curve integrated encryption scheme with primary structure based blockchain technology. © 2023 The Authors. In this paper, a new 3D dynamical system with four quadratic nonlinear terms is presented. It is shown that the proposed chaotic system has two saddle-foci, unstable, equilibrium points. Thus, the proposed chaotic system exhibits self-excited chaotic attractors. Dynamical analysis methods such as Lyapunov exponents spectrum, bifurcation diagrams, and phase portraits are used to explore the complex dynamical behaviors of the proposed chaotic system and analyze its basic qualitative properties. It is shown that the maximal Lyapunov exponent (MLE) of the new chaotic system is 7.196, which is a high value. The proposed highly chaotic system exhibits high complexity and it will be very useful for applications in cryptography, encryption and secure communications. The physical feasibility of the proposed system is verified by implementing its electronic circuit schematic using Multisim software. Additionally, a PRNG has been developed using the derived state variables and analyze with NIST-800–22 test. Lastly, we developed a PRNG-based image encryption and employ it for an encryption. The experimental outcomes obtained prove that the 3D chaotic system-based encryption application presented in this section has a very good performance. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

This paper presents the development of a multilingual hate speech detection model that effectively processes and classifies content in both Arabic and English. The study leverages both traditional machine learning models, such as K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Naive Bayes, and Support Vector Machines (SVM), as well as advanced deep learning models, specifically Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) networks. A key challenge addressed is the classification of mixed-language content, which is common on social media platforms in the MENA region. To enhance detection performance, preprocessing techniques were applied to the text data, and the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE) was used to balance the dataset. The results show that the Bi-LSTM model outperformed traditional machine learning approaches, particularly in identifying hate speech across multiple languages. The proposed model demonstrates superior accuracy and robustness in handling mixed-language input, providing a more effective solution for real-world hate speech detection tasks. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

We present results of the probability distribution analysis of flicker noise generated in Au nanoparticle (AuNP) decorated graphene-Si Schottky barrier diodes with and without yellow light illumination (592 nm), close to the localized surface plasmon resonance in the AuNPs (586 nm). The AuNPs occupy imperfections in the single-layer graphene and reduce the flicker noise intensity generated in the graphene layer. The estimated probability distribution exhibited an asymmetry shift when the sample was irradiated by yellow light (a 10-fold increase of the skewness coefficient). This effect is attributed to AuNPs collecting low-frequency fluctuations in the graphene layer and reducing 1/f noise. © 2023 IEEE.

Computer vision systems designed for posture recognition could offer valuable solutions in the healthcare sector, improving healthy ageing and supporting elderly individuals in their daily routines. One area of interest is the automatic detection of falls, which has garnered attention from computer vision and pattern recognition communities. While many existing methods rely on wearable sensors, which demonstrate high accuracy in fall detection, some individuals may be reluctant to wear such devices. Consequently, alternative approaches, such as vision-based techniques, have been developed. The proposed method utilizes a vision-based system that employs a convolutional neural network (CNN) to recognize and categorize various postures (e.g., sitting, lying, standing) in each frame, if available. This approach begins by detecting the person in the frame, applying background subtraction for human body shape extraction, and associating each daily activity with the extracted shape. The proposed model achieved an accuracy of 93.75%, which shows an outstanding performance over existing models. Subsequently, it estimates bounding boxes encompassing the predicted person's body shape. Overall, the proposed technique shows promising results for indoor monitoring systems.

This Bicopter is an unmanned aircraft with two brushless motor drive systems connected to propellers in a horizontal parallel position. The problem that often occurs in bicopters is stability or flight balance. When the vehicle cannot control or maintain its balance angle, it is most likely that the bicopter vehicle will fall while flying. Thus, a research design is carried out that can develop and overcome problems in Bicopter stability through PID Control Implementation as a One Axis Balancing Control System on the Bicopter Vehicle. This study aims to find out how to apply the PID control system as a balance controller on the bicopter and to see the results of the dynamic response generated by the PID control system using testing methods using different load weights and load positions. The research results show that the prototype of the bicopter vehicle with PID controller has been successfully made and can work well in carrying out balance control. By providing a value of Kp = 2.4329, Ki = 0.000821, Kd = 603.98901, and a Throttle of 1600 rpm, it produces a dynamic response in the form of the smallest Steady State Error value of 0.16 and the largest value of 9.29, the smallest Rise Time is 0.22s and the largest is 1.92s, The biggest overshoot is 6.68 and the smallest is -0.17. The biggest settling time is 3.36s, and the smallest is 0.92s

The Interferometric Radar Altimeter (IRA) is an innovative remote sensing sensor for the ocean that can observe mesoscale and submesoscale (meso-submesoscale) ocean dynamic processes. However, the medium error is always a limiting factor for the measurement accuracy of sea surface height (SSH), from traditional nadir radar altimeter to IRA. This paper discusses a type of medium error caused by the charge-neutral atmosphere, an approximately non-dispersive medium. According to research, the charge-neutral atmospheric propagation path produces three types of SSH errors for IRA: differential delay error, path delay error, and path bending error. Since the variation of SSH at meso-submesoscale is usually at the centimeter level, the above three types of SSH errors must be corrected. However, due to the difference in the observation regime, the along-track correction method of the traditional subsatellite ZND is no longer suitable for IRA. Meanwhile, the positioning deviation in the IRA interferogram caused by line-of-sight (LOS) delay restricts the correction accuracy of the related error. Therefore, this paper proposes an iterative correction algorithm based on the spatial stochastic model (ICA-SSM) as an exploration of the charge-neutral atmospheric propagation path error correction method for IRA. The numerical simulation result combined with the system parameters of SWOT illustrates that this method can not only ensure the centimeter-level altimetry accuracy of IRA, but also suppress the distortion of ocean phenomenon caused by related errors, and improve the measurement performance of IRA. © 2024 IEEE.
