Stress is a problem with various adverse effects, such as mental disorders and suicide. With these problems arising, a stress detection system is needed as an initial examination of the level of stress experienced. Generally, stress detection is done with a stress test at a hospital. However, medical examinations done in the hospital require high costs. Another alternative to examine stress levels is by using a biosignal electroencephalogram (EEG), which provides more objective and accurate results. In addition, there is a need to develop a portable device that can be used to detect stress. This study tries to detect stress levels using EEG Signals. The data used in this study is primary data that simulates several stress-level activities. In total, 55 subjects participated in this stress detection research. The received signal goes through preprocessing to clean it from noise and artifacts. The data will be extracted using Power Spectral Density (PSD) into power value for each signal frequency. The preprocessed input signals are then classified into indications of stress levels. This study uses Random Forest, SVM, and Decision Tree. The model is stored on a portable system with Raspberry Pi as the main component. EEG signals are taken using electrodes on Muse 2 and sent to the system. The classification model generates predicted stress levels and is displayed on a 16×2 LCD. SVM as the best model test result achieved a testing accuracy of 1, and an average computation time of 0.92. © 2024 IEEE.

The faculty of computer science, Universitas Brawijaya (Filkom UB) is committed to providing quality services for the users especially internal and external stakeholders, one of which is through the HaloFilkom service. HaloFilkom services have limitations in terms of time. HaloFilkom services are not available 24 hours due to limited working hours. Questions asked by users are not answered directly. This weakness in the HaloFilkom system can be overcome by using a chatbot system. Chatbot is an interactive system that works with natural human language and can work 24 hours. Thus, the current study explores the basic chatbot model by classifying the Q&A in the closed domain knowledge. The dataset in this research is in the form of pairs of questions and answers regarding various topics at the Filkom UB. The knowledge is preprocessed using text preprocessing which includes case folding, tokenization, padding, and tensorization. One of the chatbot models is a generative model. Creating a generative chatbot model can be done using the Seq2Seq model mechanism which consists of an encoder and decoder. The model created consists of four different architectures, namely a model with an LSTM encoder without attention and with attention and a BiLSTM model encoder without attention and with attention. Hyperparameter tuning was conducted to obtain the best hyperparameter combination. The experiment results show the best hyperparameter combination obtained is hidden size 448, drop out rate 0.5, learning rate 0.001, batch size 64, and teacher force 0. The model with the best loss is obtained with a BiLSTM encoder architecture without an attention mechanism with a train loss of 0.120. The model with the highest BLEU Score was obtained by a model with a BiLSTM encoder architecture without an attention mechanism with a BLEU Score of 0.8587 on the training data. This tertiary systematic literature review examines 29 systematic literature reviews and surveys in Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) to uncover trends, limitations, and future directions. The study explores current explanation techniques, providing insights for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers interested in enhancing AI transparency. Notably, the increasing number of systematic literature reviews (SLRs) in XAI publications indicates a growing interest in the field. The review offers an annotated catalogue for human-computer interaction-focused XAI stakeholders, emphasising practitioner guidelines. Automated searches across ACM, IEEE, and science Direct databases identified SLRs published between 2019 and May 2023, covering diverse application domains and topics. While adhering to methodological guidelines, the SLRs often lack primary study quality assessments. The review highlights ongoing challenges and future opportunities related to XAI evaluation standardisation, its impact on users, and interdisciplinary research on ethics and GDPR aspects. The 29 SLRs, analysing over two thousand papers, include five directly relevant to practitioners. Additionally, references from the SLRs were analysed to compile a list of frequently cited papers, serving as recommended foundational readings for newcomers to the field. © 2024 IEEE.

As a high-level programming language, Python supports user-friendly coding and system integration. It is not only used for data analytics but is also applied in software development. Although it has several benefits, users have various issues while running Python code. When programmers face issues, they often use Stack Overflow (SO) to get assistance for their problems. However, many Pythonrelated questions on SO are not responded to and remain unanswered. Thus, in this paper, we analyzed these unanswered questions to identify potential weaknesses of user and discussion characteristics. We applied a mixed-methods approach, including quantitative and qualitative analysis of user reputation, question types, and discussion topics. Our analysis shows that unanswered questions are mostly from low-reputation users (72.52%), followed by mid-reputation users (17.93%), and high-reputation users (9.5 5%). The distribution of the unanswered question types shows that low-reputation users ask more 'how' type of question (38.90%) followed by mid and high-reputation users. In contrast, the 'what' and 'why' questions are mostly posted by high-reputation users, followed by mid and low-reputation users. Our word-cloud analysis suggests a correlation between user reputation and the question topics. We acknowledge that there are limitations in our study, include potential misclassifications due to the time of posting and biases in manual labeling, which may affect the accuracy of our findings. This study provides insights into unanswered questions posted by the community, open up potential areas for future work such as improving support mechanisms and community engagement. © 2024 IEEE.

Job Resumes Recommendation using Integration of Fuzzy Discernibility Matrix Feature Selection and Convolutional Neural Network Multi-label Text Classification

The manual analysis of job resumes poses specific challenges, including the time-intensive process and the high likelihood of human error, emphasizing the need for automation in content-based recommendations. Recent advancements in deep learning, particularly Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for Multi-label Text Classification (MLTC), offer a promising solution for addressing these challenges through artificial intelligence. While CNN is renowned for its robust feature extraction capabilities, it faces specific challenges such as managing high-dimensional data and poor data interpretability. To address these limitations, this study employs the Fuzzy Discernibility Matrix (FDM) feature selection technique to determine the relevance of skills for each job vacancy. FDM assigns weights to the features of each job category and ranks their relevance based on the highest scores, which are then utilized in the MLTC CNN model. The integration of FDM and MLTC CNN serves as the foundation for generating content-based recommendations derived from key features in job resumes. This study produces a content-based job recommendation system that displays the top three job categories, accompanied by explanations of the skills supporting each selected category. These recommendations also consider cosine similarity values between analyzed items and the integrated results of FDM and MLTC CNN. The application of FDM for feature weighting has been proven to enhance multi-label text classification outcomes by providing better insights during the feature selection process. With a recall of 97.26%, precision of 94.81%, and accuracy of 98.58%, the MLTC model integrating FDM feature selection and CNN demonstrates robust performance characteristics in content-based job recommendation tasks. © 2025 Slovene Society Informatika. Optimizing therapy and rehabilitation for Parkinson's disease (PD) requires early identification and precise evaluation of the illness's course. However, there is disagreement about the best way to use gait analysis to categorize the severity of motor symptoms and identify early-stage Parkinson's disease. The precision of machine learning (ML) models in identifying early and intermediate stages of Parkinson's disease was assessed in this study. Six ML models are used in this study for the prediction of PD. Different metrics are used to evaluate ML models such as accuracy, precision, recall, f1-score, and AUC score. Then we propose a multi-criteria decision-making methodology (MCDM) to evaluate the ML models and select the best one. Two MCDM methods are used such as CRITIC method to compute the criteria weights and the TOPSIS method to rank the alternatives. These methods are used under the bipolar neutrosophic sets (BNSs) to deal with uncertainty information. The results show the support vector machine is the best ML model for the prediction of PD. © 2025, University of New Mexico. All rights reserved.

High performance of Dengue shock syndrome detection using extreme gradient boosting with ANOVA feature selection

Dengue shock syndrome (DSS) is an infectious disease that affects millions of people every year all over the world. Early detection of DSS is essential for providing effective therapy and promoting patient recovery. In this work, we proposed a method to enhance DSS detection by combining the Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) algorithm with variance (ANOVA) feature selection analysis. We used a clinical dataset that contained important information gleaned from people with dengue virus infection. The dataset used for the research was collected from patients at Syaiful Anwar Hospital and consisted of 501 instances. Of these, 401 cases were related to DSS, while the other instances were unrelated to this specific medical condition. An analysis of variance (ANOVA) evaluated the most significant factors that distinguished persons with DSS from those with other dengue diseases. After that, the XGBoost model gave the characteristics of the selected features. For evaluation, we split the data into 80% and 20% for training and testing, respectively. The experimental result showed that the created model had a high degree of performance evaluation in detecting DSS. The highest performance achieved an accuracy of 0.839, precision of 0.875, recall of 0.92, and f1-score of 0.897. Most importantly, the model could detect DSS early on, enabling more proactive therapy and faster responses for individuals at risk of developing the condition. © (2024), (Bio Tech System). Symmetric algorithms offer speed but have weaknesses in key distribution, while asymmetric algorithms are secure but less efficient for encrypting and decrypting large text messages. This research aims to secure data and digital documents through the implementation of a hybrid cryptosystem that combines the Cramer-Shoup algorithm and Spritz. This research also analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness and speed of encryption and decryption, as well as the efficiency of the system in protecting various types of data, including docx and pdf document files. The methodology of this research includes a literature review, analysis of the encryption-decryption process, and performance testing of the system using the Python programming language. The speed test results show that this hybrid cryptosystem provides fast encryption-decryption times, with an encryption time of 0.002607 milliseconds for 400 characters and a decryption time of 0.001537 milliseconds, while for digital documents of the pdf file type, the encryption time is 0.424478 milliseconds and the decryption time is 0.404343 milliseconds. In addition, the use of the SHA-3 hash function has proven effective in maintaining data integrity. In conclusion, this hybrid cryptosystem offers an efficient and secure solution for protecting various types of digital data, including text and documents. © 2024 IEEE.

The survival rate of lung cancer relies significantly on how far the disease has spread when it is detected, how it reacts to the treatment, the patient’s overall health, and other factors. Therefore, the earlier the lung cancer diagnosis, the higher the survival rate. For radiologists, recognizing malignant lung nodules from computed tomography (CT) scans is a challenging and time-consuming process. As a result, computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) systems have been suggested to alleviate these burdens. Deep-learning approaches have demonstrated remarkable results in recent years, surpassing traditional methods in different fields. Researchers are currently experimenting with several deep-learning strategies to increase the effectiveness of CAD systems in lung cancer detection with CT. This work proposes a deep-learning framework for detecting and diagnosing lung cancer. The proposed framework used recent deep-learning techniques in all its layers. The autoencoder technique structure is tuned and used in the preprocessing stage to denoise and reconstruct the medical lung cancer dataset. Besides, it depends on the transfer learning pre-trained models to make multi-classification among different lung cancer cases such as benign, adenocarcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma. The proposed model provides high performance while recognizing and differentiating between two types of datasets, including biopsy and CT scans. The Cancer Imaging Archive and Kaggle datasets are utilized to train and test the proposed model. The empirical results show that the proposed framework performs well according to various performance metrics. According to accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and AUC metrics, it achieves 99.60, 99.61, 99.62, 99.70, and 99.75%, respectively.
