Reconstructing maximum parsimony (MP) trees along with bootstrap for large multiple sequence alignments is a computationally challenging task. In this paper, we present MPBoot, a new method for approximating MP bootstrap based on the idea of a previously introduced method for maximum likelihood bootstrap. MPBoot economizes the computations by only sampling trees on the original alignment and simultaneously calculating exact parsimony scores for all bootstrap alignments. Preliminary experiments on simulated data showed that MPBoot is about 2-3.5 times faster and yields better parsimony scores than a fast bootstrap procedure implemented in TNT. MPBoot also produced less biased support value than TNT for small simulated data sets (=500) MPBoot overestimates the probability that a clade is true, i.e., results in likely high false positive rates. As MPBoot is currently a proof-of-concept implementation, more work is to understand the limitations of the method.

Software development requires the protection of privacy. However, a body of knowledge does not exist for the development of privacy-aware software. Based on a literature survey, this paper introduces various studies that address knowledge regarding the development of privacy-aware software, and describes the current status and future direction toward building a knowledge base for privacy-aware software development.

The aim of this study is to monitor and acquire the remote parameters like Speed control a DC Motor, IR Sensor, Temperature of pasteurize mix of ice cream, and send these real values over wireless network. A proposed system is dashboard monitoring system for PLC based system wirelessly using ZigBee protocol. To implement this a ZigBee model is connected to a programmed digital signal controller which would transmit the data to Zigbee coordinator which is connected to a PC through RS232 serial communication. Person can need only to send the reply about the process that is to be carried out and PLC will check the status of the web base sent by person and take the action according to it where wired communication is either more expensive or impossible due to physical conditions. A low cost system for measured the parameters of motor such as IR Sensor, Speed control a DC Motor by PWM and temperature with Zigbee protocol connectivity. A database is built to execute monitoring and to save the motor parameters received by radio frequency (RF) data acquisition system. Experimental results show that the proposed system is less costly, provides higher accuracy as well as safe and gives visual environment.

In August 2015 the cryptographic world was shaken by a sudden and surprising announcement by the US National Security Agency (NSA) concerning plans to transition to post-quantum algorithms. Since this announcement post-quantum cryptography has become a topic of primary interest for several standardization bodies. The transition from the currently deployed public-key algorithms to post-quantum algorithms has been found to be challenging in many aspects. In particular the problem of evaluating the quantum-bit security of such post-quantum cryptosystems remains vastly open. Of course this question is of primarily concern in the process of standardizing the post-quantum cryptosystems. In this paper we consider the quantum security of the problem of solving a system of m Boolean multivariate quadratic equations in n variables (MQ2);a central problem in postquantum cryptography. When n = m, under a natural algebraic assumption, we present a Las-Vegas quantum algorithm solving MQ2that requires the evaluation of, on average, O(20.462n) quantum gates. To our knowledge this is the fastest algorithm for solving MQ2. Copyright © 2017, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Modern cellular networks utilising the Long-Term Evolution (LTE) set of standards face an ever-increasing demand for mobile data from connected devices. Header compression is employed to minimise the overhead for IP-based cellular network traffic. In this paper, we evaluate the three header compression implementations used by such networks with respect to their potential throughput increase and complexity for different mobile service scenarios. We compare RTP, UDP and TCP profile compressions regarding their compression gain and complexity. Specifically, we consider header compression as defined by (i) IP Header Compression (RFC 2507), (ii) Robust Header Compression version 1 (RFC 3095), and (iii) the recently updated Robust Header Compression version 2 (RFC 5225) with TCP/IP profile (RFC 6846).This paper presents the performance evaluation of these header compression schemes for UDP, RTP and TCP, for both IPv4 and IPv6 streams in error-free and error-prone scenarios. A comparison between the Robust Header Compression methods and IP Header Compression is also provided. Our results show that all implementations have great potential for saving bandwidth in IP-based wireless networks, even under varying channel conditions. We also present for the first time an analysis of certain RTP header fields which, depending on the transmission characteristics, could have high impact on the overall compression gain. © 2016, Technical University of Budapest. Background:Genetic testing for breast cancer susceptibility is widely used,but for many genes,evidence of an association with breast cancer is weak,underlying risk estimates are imprecise,and reliable subtype-specific risk estimates are ***:We used a panel of 34 putative susceptibility genes to perform sequencing on samples from 60,466 women with breast cancer and 53,461 *** separate analyses for protein-truncating variants and rare missense variants in these genes,we estimated odds ratios for breast cancer overall and tumor *** evaluated missense-variant associations according to domain and classification of pathogenicity.

Cooling Load Estimation in the Building Based On Heat Sources

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) is the largest source of energy consumption. In this research, we discuss cooling load in the room by considering the different heat source and the number of occupancy. Energy cooling load is affected by external and internal heat sources. External cooling load in this discussion include convection outdoor/exterior using the DOE-2 algorithm, calculation of heat using Thermal Analysis Research program (TARP), and Conduction Transfer Function (CTF). The internal cooling load is calculated based on the activity of the occupants in the office, a number of occupants, heat gain from lighting, and heat gain from electrics equipment. Weather data used is Surakarta weather and design day used is Jakarta design day. We use the ASHRAE standard for building materials and the metabolic of occupants while on the activity. The results show that the number of occupancies have an influence of cooling load. A large number of occupancy will cause the cooling load is great as well.

We have carried out experimental and numerical analyses for reconstruction of permittivity distribution using a pair of long distance small size electrodes and additional arc electrodes. A reconstruction method for permittivity distribution that uses a genetic algorithm and numerical analysis (finite element method) based on measured capacitance has been proposed and investigated. However, the conventional method had a problem in accuracy. In this paper, the reconstruction method has been improved by using a Parameter-free Genetic Algorithm(PfGA) based on measured capacitance and electric potential. In addition, we have evaluated the fitness function with PfGA. © 2016 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.
