Development Model for Knowledge Management System (KMS) to Improve University's Performance (Case Studies in Indonesia University of Education)

Knowledge Management System (KMS) is one way to organize and documented the knowledge of institution. The purpose of this study is to develop a prototype KMS in organizing and documenting the knowledge in the university and to do a document aggregation based on the total number, subjects and writers (lecturers). The development method of KMS prototype is using sharepoints which are able to collect, store and publish all digital data available at the university which can be accessed online. Aggregation is using the percentage between the number of documents, subjects, and writers (lecturers). The aggregation's result between the number of digital files compared to the number of courses and the number of lecturers are each below 10%. In the future, the university still needs to encourage all lecturers or academic community to increase the collection of digital files that can indirectly improve the quality and educational services. © 2012 International Journal of computer science Issues.

Triple Play service is now one of the most important services for Telecom operators. This service contains: IPTV, VoIP, VoD, Internet and in some cases even fixed telephony and mobile telephony. The aim of Telecom operators is to improve this service by introducing some new subservices to get better business results. One example of these subservices is a Hosting service. This paper describes the process of introducing of Hosting system in one Telecom operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina and compares business results of Telecom operators without a Hosting service and with a Hosting service which is integrated into Triple Play. This paper has a scientific value because it describes steps of introducing Hosting service into Triple Play and describes the importance of Hosting service for Telecom operators.

We present a self-contained portable USB based device that can amplify and record small bioelectric signals from insects and animals. The system combines a purpose built low noise amplifier with off the shelf components to provide a low cost low power system for recording electrophysiological signals. Using open source software the system is programmed as a simple USB device and can be connected to any USB capable computer for recording data. This simple and universal interface provides the ability to connect to a variety of systems. Open source acquisition software was also written to record signals under the linux operating system. Performance analysis shows that our device is able to record good quality signals both indoors and outdoors and delivers this performance at a very low cost. Compared to larger systems our device provides the additional advantage of portability given that it can fit into a pocket and costs a fraction of large systems used in electrophysiology labs.

In this paper we are dealing with the morphological matrix applied at the selection of the most appropriate solution of the manipulator travel frame design projection. The morphology enables to analyze all the solutions that may occur during both the development and the construction of the equipment. In particular it is useful at the machine and the mechanics constructions. The morphology concerns the analysis and the permutations of any possible solutions of the construction element development. This method is characterized by creation of the prognosis and the partial data matrix formations. Based on the permutations and the combinations of the respective elements characteristics the general characteristic is resulting. The morphological analysis consists of several phases. Initially it is necessary to make the exact description of the examined task. Following is the determination of the characteristic attributes thus the attributes and their combinations what the solution is depending on. Moreover are considering the impact and the effect of the respective parameters and the same their combinations regarding the most applicable solution.

Integrating a large number of embedded memories in System-on-Chips (SoC's) occupies up to more than 70% of the die size, thus requiring Built-In Self-Test (BIST) with the smallest possible area overhead. This paper analyzes MATS++(6N), March C-(10N), March SR(14N), and March CL(12N) test algorithms and shows that they cannot detect either Write Disturb Faults (WDFs) or Deceptive Read Destructive Faults (DRDFs) or both. Therefore to improve fault detection, an automation program is developed based on sequence operation (SQ) generation rules. However after solving the undetected fault, the outcome in term of its detection result of Static Double Cell Faults using the specified test algorithm especially Transition Coupling Faults (CFtrs), Write Destructive Coupling Faults (CFwds), Read Destructive Coupling Faults (CFrds) and Deceptive Read Destructive Faults (CFdrds) are observed.

Due to the large number of the resources, the frequent reengineering of manufacturing processes and the often changing product types, the maintenance of the simulation model and the provision of up-to-date input data are almost always difficult. The paper introduces new quantitative analysis method including processing time and batch calculation algorithms applied in the automatic building of discrete-event simulation systems. The simulation model and the mentioned algorithms are both directly interfaced with real execution databases and the overall solution supports the shop-floor managers in making control decisions. The applicability of the elaborated approach is illustrated by the results of experiments relying on real historical data.

This work presents a new proposal towards the development of an intelligent system for automatic classification of katydids. Katydid is the common name of a certain large, singing, winged insects that belongs to the long-horned grasshopper family (Tettigoniidae) in the order of the Opthoptera. We propose a sound parameterization using Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) because these coefficients approximate the human auditory system's response more closely than linear-spaced frequencies. This proposal is based on the use of a HMM classifier to process the MFCCs. Our proposal is based on two approaches, identification and verification; and it has obtained 99.31% of accuracy in the identification stage and has increased to 99.97% of accuracy in the verification stage.

ITIL is the most popular framework for the management of IT services, while ISO/IEC 20000 is the first IT Service Management standard. Many today's researches from IT Service Management field are connected to the comparison of two or more frameworks or standards. The goal of this researches is to create a new universal framework or standard for the management of IT services which should be better than ITIL from 2011. This paper is based on two different measurements of the Billing system implementation: the first one is a measurement by using ITIL recommendations and the second one is a measurement by using recommendations of ISO/IEC 20000 standard. The aim is to see in which ITIL processes the result of measurement is bad, to find complementary ISO/IEC 20000 processes in which the result is good, and based on this to suggest a new model of ITIL framework for the design and implementation of the Billing system for xplay services of Telecom operator. The scientific value of this paper is a new produced ITIL framework which could be used also for some other Telecom operator's systems.
