The Application of ANN-Linear Perceptron in the Development of DSS for a Fishery Industry

Overfishing is a global environmental problem that risks fisheries since many of the fish stock of the fisheries have already reduced to below a tolerable level. One of solutions that often implemented in the fishery management is by calculating the value of Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) as the maximum tolerable harvest that can be taken out from the natural stock without harming the population over an indefinite period of time. A proper tool used for computing the MSY is needed to support the fishery manager in solving this decision making problem. In this paper we propose a software development of Decision Support System (DSS) to address such fishery industry problem. The DSS is developed to compute the MSY from the annual yield-effort data of the fishery. We use two sigmoid growth equations, Logistic and Gompertz equations, as the underlying population models, which then are approximated by their discrete forms for computing several growth parameters. Most known methods of growth parameter estimation use a Multiple Linear Regression with Ordinary Least Square method (MLR-OLS). Here we propose the application of Artificial Neural Network with Linear Perceptron method (ANN-LP). A case study in this paper shows that the effectiveness of the proposed ANN-LP is as good as the MLR-OLS in estimating both the growth parameters and the MSY of the fishery in the case study needed in the computation of its MSY by using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) Linear Perceptron.

River pollution has become a severe problem in Indonesia. Industrial waste causes water pollution because the waste is not filtered before being discharged into the river. Illegal waste dumping cannot be prosecuted due to insufficient data and unknown disposal times. Therefore, a tool is needed to measure river water waste to measure polluted water waste data. Studies on river water monitoring devices have shown that there are no portable monitoring tools based on the internet of things for river water waste that follows regulatory standards from the Minister of Health. This study aims to produce a portable monitoring tool based on the internet of things for water waste. The system was developed using TDS sensors, turbidity, pH, MQ-135 sensors, and the system is equipped with a GPS module to indicate the location's latitude. The monitoring system is developed through the stages of system design, testing water samples, setting water quality standards and required hardware and components, setting river water quality parameters, and conducting system testing. The test results show that the system can send the data obtained to dashboard things via an internet connection, the TDS sensor error rate is 2.17%, the pH sensor error rate is 1.87%, the turbidity sensor error rate is 1.66%, the MQ135 sensor value is at the quality limit. The internet of things-based portable river waste monitoring system produced through this research helps related parties to identify and handle polluted rivers. Water according to the standards of the Ministry of Health, and the GPS module shows location measurements and information according to the location's latitude on google maps.

Using the Scopus database, this study aims to investigate the use of artificial intelligence for cancer detection in the last ten years from 2013 to 2022. The researchers used bibliometric analysis combined with VosViewer and Rstudio software quantification method for literature analysis. The results of the flushed articles show data such as publication year, journal, country, keywords, and authors, to the highest number of citations. Common keywords used by researchers are artificial intelligence, medical, and human. Researchers limited the findings through keywords such as in the last ten years, documents are journals, and English only so that 1868 articles were obtained. The results found that Harvard Medical School affiliation had the highest number of articles, with 101 articles, by subject area, Medicine had a proportion of 41.9% (n=1320). This bibliometric study will be useful for other researchers to examine the development of research on Artificial Intelligence for Cancer Detection in the last ten years. © 2023 IEEE.

The field of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is experiencing significant growth as it involves the integration of medical devices and systems with the internet and various digital technologies. This study provides a bibliometric analysis of scholarly articles pertaining to the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) during the time frame of 2018 to 2022. The analysis is conducted using data sourced from the Scopus database. A total of 1165 documents were identified and analyzed to gain insights into the current state of research in this field. The analysis includes trends in publication output, top authors and institutions, and key research topics. The results of the analysis indicate a steady increase in publication output on IoMT over the past five years, with the highest number of publications in 2022. The top authors in this field were Mohanty, S.P., Kougianos, E., and Pirbhulal, S., while the top institutions were King Saud University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and University of North Texas. Co-citation analysis revealed that wearable devices, telemedicine, and data analytics were among the key research topics in IoMT. This bibliometric analysis offers useful insights into the present research landscape of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) spanning the years 2018 to 2022. The findings can be beneficial for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and funding agencies in understanding the trends and priorities in this field. The top authors and institutions identified in this analysis can serve as valuable resources for collaboration and staying updated on the latest developments in IoMT. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Citrus Limon L. (Lemon) is a type of fruit that is currently widely consumed, because it contains abundant vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants. This fruit have high potential in the agribusiness sector and is widely cultivated by traditional farmers. However, during harvest time, traditional farmers generally still use manual methods using the human eye in distinguishing the maturity level of lemons which is less efficient because it has a low accuracy. Digital image processing is one solution to this problem. In the research on the classification of lemon maturity levels using digital image processing with the feature extraction method of the Mean RGB, HSV, and LBP methods and the K-Nearest Neighbor classification algorithm in this study, a total of 120 lemon images were used which were divided into 80 training image data and 40 image data. testing. The results of model performance measurements in the form of the highest accuracy level in the Mean RGB method of 100%, the highest accuracy in the HSV method of 98%, and the highest accuracy in the LBP method of 82.5%.

The learners' needs are an important factor in designing syllabus and materials design, this research deals with the syllabus and material design based on the professional's needs. It is expected that the syllabus and materials designes are communicatively applicable to the professional academy. Descriptive method is applied in this research. The sample of this research is 30 students of ATII Immanuel Academy Medan. They were selected by random sampling to get the data, the questioners were administered to students. the questioners consisted of 54 items and the semi structured interview consisted of 5 questions, the finding indicated that learners' needs were focused on reading and speaking skills. With reference appropriately and proportionally derived for students of the Professional Academy. Further on the basis of the syllabus, materials are designed in which the skills of using language become a priority. Wireless transmitters in measurement instruments act for transmitting data or signals using radio frequency or currently better known as WIFI by means of 2.4 GHz. WIFI is a wireless local area network (WLAN) communication network. With the existence of telecommunications, measurement and control in industrial processes are heading to a high level of reliability compared to the conventional wired instruments in reaching hard locations or dangerous and hazardous areas. However, this cannot be done easily especially in maintaining the communication performances. Research is needed on the reliability of the wireless transmitter itself. Several factors such as communication disruptions are new challenges for the industry of wireless technology manufacturers to be able to prevent or to minimize errors that can arise in wireless network control systems. Signal strength mapping is needed in designing wireless network control systems. In this paper, the mapping is performed by measuring the signal strength parameters (Power Level) and the use of channels (Channel Usage) at planned locations. The measurement results are then used as sample points in the mapping. Data show that the signal strength measurement at each channel has a maximum of - 60 dBm and a minimum of -105 dBm. Mapping is performed by using two methods, namely Inverse Distance Weight (IDW) and Spline Interpolation (SI) methods. The paper proposes an algorithm to select the appropriate wireless communication paths from the planned locations. The mapping results indicate the appropriate area to place the transmitter and the receiver devices in a wireless data transmission network. With good placement, it is expected that measurements using wireless transmitters have minimum disruptions. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

At present, ad hoc networks are getting a lot of attention, because they have many features that differ from the rest of the networks and because they are technically advanced. In routing protocols, the Vehicular Ad-hoc network (VANET) differ in performance because each protocol has different variables, such as variable density, speed, and traffic scenarios. In this work, we proposed topology-based routing namely Ad hoc On Demand Distance Vector (AODV) protocol. The AODV protocol has been simulated in case of the movement of vehicles at a fixed velocity at 60km/h, and in case of randomly changing the vehicle's locations in the network. There are three parameters used to investigate the performance of the proposed AODV protocol which are packet delivery ratio, and overheads. The Simulation results show a significant decrease from 0.55 to 0.82 in the packet delivery ratio. On the other hand, the performance of the AODV protocol demonstrates effective communication for the VANETs.

The paper presents a method to determine a position of objects in three dimentional coordinates. The proposed method uses a vision-based localization using two low cost cameras. The formulation is derived by using a pin-hole camera principal to project a location of a point in a 2D image into 3D space. This method can be used for indoor unmanned aerial vehicles localization to provide position information for control and navigation purposes.

Data Encryption Standard (DES) is a symmetric encryption algorithm that uses a single key to encrypt and decrypt information. In addition, the cipher text will be hidden inside an image using Stepic. DES Encryption use symmetric encryption to encrypt and decryption to decrypt. It will secure the symmetric encryption and maintain the speed of the encryption and decryption. The result of this study is the lowest error that we got as the Mean Square Error (MSE) is 0.00% and is inversely proportional with the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Avalanche with 79.36% and 34.91% in order that is not stable for result of Avalanche Effect (AVA). Inversely proportional to the length of the text that is hidden in the image, the longest text that is hidden, the more changes that we get in the image with the highest Unified Average Changing Intensity (UACI) and Number of Pixels Change Rate (NPCR) with the biggest image size with 43.47% for UACI and 99.87% for the NPCR.
