The occurrence of landslides in the hills of Walahir, Kidang Pananjung village, Cililin subdistrict. Bandung in May 2004 needed attention and research so that the causes of the landslide could be identified. This landslide took many lives and property, heaped around 5 hectares of rice fields and residents' villages below and claimed 15 lives. Based on geotechnical investigations, the slip plane is at a depth of 4 meters from the ground surface and the area of the landslide ranges from 30,000 m2 leaving weathered rock beneath. Is the opening of agricultural land and fields followed by the use of chemical fertilizers is one of the causes of landslides? This study aims to determine the effect of a single chemical fertilizer (Urea, Za, SP36) and compound (Green Giant NPK, MKP) on the soil under conditions of optimum water content and water saturation or soaked which are carried out at the Chemical Laboratory of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of Bandung and Mechanics Laboratory Bandung Institute of Technology. Research on the influence of chemical fertilizers which is carried out using percentages of 1%, 2% and 3% with a relatively short ripening time intends to analyze the extent to which chemical fertilizers have an effect. Research is limited to the identification of minerals and chemical elements of original soil, soil physis properties, Atterberg boundaries, soil index properties, soil classification, soil elastic modulus. Hypothesis;The chemical content of fertilizers in the soil causes changes in soil characteristics. The method of taking original soil is by drilling original soil around the area where landslide disaster occurred at the same height as the height of the landslide slope, soil samples taken from depths of 1 meter and 3 meters from the surface of the land or the base layer between soil and rocks based on ASTM D-1452, 1587, 1586. This study proposed a novel approach that integrates qualitative and quantitative methods to identify the competency gaps of VHS teachers in Vocational High Schools (VHSs). It comprised four research steps, namely (1) determining the ideal teacher competencies through Fuzzy Delphi technique, (2) arranging the competency priorities by using the analytic hierarchy process, (3) conducting VHS teacher performance evaluation by using a 360-degree rater, and (4) the competency gaps analysis using the IPA matrix. The sample members involved in this study were 7 experts from the industry, academia, and government, and 50 VHS teachers from several regencies in Bali Province, Indonesia. This study suggested that the gaps analysis between the existing VHS teacher competencies and the ideal ones include (1) the pedagogical competency - the low level of factual knowledge mastery in vocational knowledge and skills;(2) mastery in the application of contents;(3) mastery of content knowledge related to vocational teaching subjects;(4) networking and collaboration between the relevant industry and government;(5) continuous professional development;and (6) entrepreneurship. These findings imply that these needs of competencies should be the focus of teacher training programs for VHS teachers. © 2020 IOP Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved.

Research for the detection and identification of existing license plate focus on static image under different weather conditions. This research aims to detect and recognize the license plate on moving vehicle at night and under rain condition. The method used to detect license plate is Cascade Classifier with Local Binary Pattern (LBP) as a descriptor, top-hat transform for image enhancement, and recognizing character of license plate detected is using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Template Matching (TM). The testing process using 9 videos data with duration 30 seconds. The testing result that accuracy rates LBP OCR reach 77.42% increase 32.26% than without top-hat transform and LBP TM 64.52% increase 45.16% than without top-hat transform. © 2017 IEEE.

The importance of the K-Medoid model in viewing disaster-prone areas in each sub-district in North Aceh. The advantage of the k-medoid model results is that it has better cluster centers than other models. The novelty of this research is the cluster results are assessed by each decision maker using the Borda group model in providing flood disaster assistance or areas that are a priority for handling, which are included in the flood-prone cluster. Therefore, this research is important because it can be used to identify areas most severely affected by flooding. This research aims to analyze and identify the impact of flood hazards based on grouping and decision-making using the Borda group model in each sub-district in North Aceh. The results of the k-medoids model show 3 clusters that can see potential areas for flood disasters, namely very vulnerable. There are six sub-districts. For the k-medoids results, ten sub-districts are vulnerable. Lastly, the safe zones are 11 sub-districts. This research's k-medoid model analysis is more precise in seeing clusters of places that are potentially affected by flooding based on spatial maps of their nearest neighboring areas. The percentage of each cluster is as follows: Cluster 1 is 4%, Cluster 2 is 55%, and Cluster 3 is 41%. The k-medoid model provided this result after three iterations, with a closeness difference of 1.594510537. The results of the Borda model group research can be used as a recommendation for the areas that receive the highest priority in disaster management. © 2023 IEEE.

The number of Islamic boarding school teaching both Information Technology (IT) Education and Religious Education is still limited. Vocational High School of Information Technology Annajiyah located in Tambakberas, Jombang, East Java is a school having both subjects taught. The existence of Vocational High School of Information Technology Annajiyah has not been widely known by outside and inside society of Jombang Regency. Therefore, Therefore, analysis of the use of SEO is necessary to determine the potential of website visit and school promotion. Previously, Vocational High School of Information Technology Annajiyah promoted school by using brochures only. This method was considered able to introduce the school through traditional way. Analysis result of improving SEO can be seen in Google Analytic recorded a number of site visits amounted 403 in June, where 82.2% of active users are dominated by mobile phone users and fluctuation of the number of visits. This increase is affected by both the implementation of SEO and online PPDB process during the COVID pandemic. © 2021 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

UD Parama Store is a trading company engaged in selling retail goods that sell various types of daily necessities retail. The major problems occurred are the difficulty in predicting the sales due to the maturity level of experience, customer demand changes, and the owner's limited memory. Therefore, there should be an increase of merchandise stock to prevent any sudden decrease in sales and overcome the stock shortage when there is an increase in sales. In this current research, a sales forecasting web-based system was designed and built to assist the owner in predicting the number of sales in the next period. As a result, decisions can be made in determining the number of goods to be provided. The forecasting method used was double exponential smoothing brown by improving forecasting, averaging (smoothing) the past value of a time coherent data, and decreasing (exponential), which requires one parameter only. It was used to increase and decrease the linear and non-stationary data. The calculation of forecasting accuracy using the MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) method in forecasting sales of merchandise produces the smallest error rate ranging from 7.99% to 32.42% for 10 different items. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Arranging an employee shift work's schedule requires high accuracy. It is because we have to pay attention to several constraints simultaneously. The genetic algorithm presents as a method which can automatize the process of arranging the schedule as well as optimizing the result of the schedule. The Shala Bali is a hospitality business whose scheduling was complicated because of the number of the employes. This research aimed at producing a shift work schedule of the employees in a week and to know the optimum genetic algorithm parameter in this case. The constraints that were taken into account in the arrangement of the schedule included the schedule conflict of the employees in one shift, schedule conflict of employees in 1 day, the same composition of employees per shift, employees should not get morning shifts after being in night shift the night before, each shift has at least 1 employee in the front office, and each employee is required to get 1 day off within 1 schedule period. This study was able to produce an optimal work schedule of employees with crossover probability (Pc) of 0.6, and mutation probability (Pm) of 0.3. The modification algorithm in chromosome generation and chromosome structure in this study results that changes in gene length (additional number of employees) do not have to be followed by an increase in the number of chromosome populations to get optimum results. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Safety and comfort are things that everyone wants to get on a trip. Every tourist who wants a vacation to one of the tourist destinations will prioritize these two things. Leisure in travel is influenced by the availability of supporting facilities. From accommodation, restaurants to facilities provided by tourism actors in each tourism object. One problem is the lack of facilities in attractions such as luggage storage (lockers), many tourists in enjoying tourism objects carrying luggage such as backpacks;groceries to backpacks for tourists are classified as backpackers. Of course this will disrupt the comfort of traveling. In the research conducted, researchers wanted to design a system of goods storage services as a form of supporting industry 4.0 in the tourism environment. By designing an image of the storage media of goods by implementing access control for doors in each locker based on image processing supported by a microcontroller. The method used that focuses on facial recognition as image input using the PCA (Principal Component Analysis) method, which can measure the Euclidean distance in an object's face image. The design as a blueprint makes it easier to develop the next item of storage media (lockers).The results of this study indicate that the facial recognition method used is able to extract facial features and be recalibrated to activate the locker that is owned by the face object. © 2020 IOP Publishing Ltd. Puri Wira Mahkota Ltd is a distributor company in the automotive parts industry. Puri Wira Mahkota has an obstacles in preparing weekly order on stock to the primary production unit. They predict total sales of product in the coming period just by using an expectation from stock administration staff then it will be compared with sales data in the previous period without any calculations using a definitive formula. Forecasting calculation could support Puri Wira Mahkota to predict the quantity of product. The purpose of this research is to apply the calculation process that can predict the quantity of product should be produced by the primary production unit every month and also to prevent over stock and out of stock. The method used in the forecasting calculation is Single Exponential Smoothing. To optimize Single Exponential Smoothing we used the Golden Section. The principle of the Golden Section is to reduce the alpha area boundary so it will produce an ideal forecast value with the minimum MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) level. This research shows the results that the Golden Section finds the optimal forecasting value with a level of MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) of 43.39%. © 2020 IOP Publishing Ltd. The consumption profile of electrical energy always increases every year due to the highly consumptive and inappropriate lifestyles of modern society. A bad lifestyle such as forgetting to turn off the unused electronic devices when they are leaving home is one of the factors influenced the increasing consumption of electrical energy. This is off course contributing in wasting energy. In the paper, an IoT-based electronic device control system has been successfully constructed. Monitoring and control tasks could be performed remotely and in real time mode using an interface application installed on a smartphone. The system built is equipped with a device operational condition monitoring featured by placing light, temperature, thermal and current sensors, respectively. Through the utilization of the implemented system, users can monitor and control electronic devices easily and can figure out the condition of the device remotely in a real time mode. The control test on the system was successful with an average response time of approximately 3.32 seconds and the accuracy of sensor readings above 89%. With the implementation of this system, users can easily monitor and control electronic devices anywhere and anytime so that the opportunities for efficient and effective use of electrical energy could be further optimized. © 2022.
