In a natural disaster, it is often necessary to have an autonomous system capable of moving in an irregular and unpredictable area. This paper proposes a robot that is mechanically capable of moving in a disaster area and equipped with a navigation using behavior-based systems. Its mechanical, electronic and computing systems are described. The development of the primitive behavior that has been made is explained in detail. Several experiments have been carried out to show the performance of the proposed robotic systems. © 2020 IEEE.

study on the identification and classification of fish is challenging and valuable because of its role in advancing the marine and agricultural fields. This research has benefits interms of monitoring fish populations and ecosystems in a particular area. Furthermore, this research helps monitor fish that are considered threatened or endangered so that it makes iteasier to map prohibited areas for fishing. This research aims to know performance of MobileNetV2 and VGG16 with parameter tuning process by identifying the value of batch size, epoch, learning rate, and optimizer for fish image dataset. The proposed research phase consists of five main stages, including experimental setup, dataset construction, dataset preprocessing, dataset training and modelling and evaluation. As the result, VGG16 obtained the highest accuracy value. For VGG16 without fine-tuning, the testing accuracy is 98.07%. For VGG16 with fine-tuning, the testing accuracy is 96.56%.

This paper is collaboration between BMKG and the University of Mataram to mitigate land slide. For this study using light intensity sensors, air temperature sensors, voltage sensors, current sensors, humidity sensors. This research is on a laboratory scale with a soil slope of 10 degrees, dry soil with a tendency to split (clay) from brittle volcanic rocks. The initial conditions were without rain, then the soil was burdened with rain in low (drizzle), medium (25mm/h) and high (55mm/h) capacities. The second condition of the stage is given a vibration which is a model of the earthquake evenly on that stage. Soil Moisture soil, soil temperature, 3 pieces of vibration sensor switch, piezo electric vibration sensor. The initial height of the soil is 36.78 cm with a width of 79.35cm after being rained for 90 minutes, the final height is 29.93 and 60.25 cm, widening receding to the right and left sides.

This research investigates the adoption of digital twin technology for marine debris management in Bali, focusing on the regions of Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar, and Tabanan. Digital twin technology involves creating virtual models that replicate physical environments and processes, enabling real-time monitoring and simulation. This capability is particularly crucial in Bali, where marine debris presents significant ecological and economic challenges. Digital twin technology offers a strategic advantage by allowing detailed scenario analysis and optimization of management strategies. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the study evaluates the influence of four key factors within a community resilience framework on the willingness to adopt digital twins: risk perception, planning capability, coping ability, and interest level. The findings suggest that heightened awareness through targeted workshops and campaigns significantly boosts the community's willingness to engage with digital twin technology, highlighting the impact of risk perception. In terms of planning capability, strong processes such as the creation of action plans and task forces are crucial for integrating digital twins into marine debris management strategies. Additionally, robust coping mechanisms, which benefit from access to advanced technologies for real-time response, correlate with a greater readiness to adopt digital twins. Lastly, active community involvement in environmental initiatives indicates a higher propensity to support innovative technological solutions, underscoring the importance of interest level. The study emphasizes the critical role of these factors in creating an environment conducive to the adoption of digital twin technology in Bali. By enhancing these aspects of the community resilience framework, the region can more effectively leverage digital twins to address its marine debris problem. This case report investigates the preventive effect of Tinospora cordifolia extract on biocorrosion induced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa on mild steel API 5L in the simulated seawater medium. Electrochemical techniques, spectroscopic techniques, and surface analysis were employed to investigate biocide performance and corrosion behavior. P. aeruginosa has been shown to enhance iron dissolution in seawater medium. These findings point to the role of P. aeruginosa bacteria in forming differential oxygen, which causes corrosion. Morphology results from atomic Fourier microscopy (AFM) highlight the presence of P. aeruginosa in biotic environments, where the surface is rougher than in abiotic conditions. On the other hand, adding T. cordifolia to the biotic medium resulted in a smoother and more homogeneous surface without any significant deterioration. Electrochemical findings reveal that adding 300 mg L⁻¹ of T. cordifolia extract prevents the microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) of steel API 5L, with an optimum effectiveness value of 74.50 % after 21 days of incubation. This protective effect is caused by forming a more compact iron oxide surface layer and the adsorption of phenolic active compounds such as Moupinamide and others on the surface of mild steel API 5L, as detected by liquid chromatography-mass/spectrometry-mass spectrometry (LCMS-MS), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) techniques. © 2024 The Authors

The rapid development of technology, information, and communication requires students to master digital literacy. In addition, the rapid development of technology also affects environmental conditions, so it is necessary to master environmental literacy to understand and interpret environmental conditions, as well as build students’ awareness of environmental issues. This study aims to determine the correlation between digital literacy and student environmental literacy. The population in this research includes 11th-grade students of SMAN 1 Batu. The research sample amounted to 102 students, and the sampling technique used was purposive random sampling. Data were collected through digital literacy questionnaires, environmental literacy questionnaires, and environmental literacy tests. The data were tested for normality and homogeneity prerequisites and then analyzed using the Pearson Correlation statistical test. The results obtained show that the average digital literacy score of students is 105.1, including the high category, and the average student environmental literacy score is 279.7, included in the medium category. The high level of digital literacy will make students more critical in accessing technology and digital media. Digital literacy includes the process of finding, using multiple sources, evaluating, and using information to produce original products, with the maximum application of digital literacy, which is expected to support students’ environmental literacy in providing knowledge, understanding, and building an attitude of caring for the environment. The data obtained shows that there is a positive relationship between digital literacy and environmental literacy.

We present a data-driven approach to characterizing nonidentifiability of a model’s parameters and illustrate it through dynamic as well as steady kinetic models. By employing Diffusion Maps and their extensions, we discover the minimal combinations of parameters required to characterize the output behavior of a chemical system: a set of effective parameters for the model. Furthermore, we introduce and use a Conformal Autoencoder Neural Network technique, as well as a kernel-based Jointly Smooth Function technique, to disentangle the redundant parameter combinations that do not affect the output behavior from the ones that do. We discuss the interpretability of our data-driven effective parameters, and demonstrate the utility of the approach both for behavior prediction and parameter estimation. In the latter task, it becomes important to describe level sets in parameter space that are consistent with a particular output behavior. The research was conducted in the coastal area of Palu Bay, Lere Village. Data were collected using observation, interviews, and literature study techniques. The data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods and focused on the concept of the design of the tsunami evacuation building on the coast of Palu Bay. Data analysis was carried out to obtain an overview of the problems that occurred at the planning location which was analyzed with the concept of architectural design by considering the existing conditions of the site and the surrounding environment, as well as utilizing the potential of the site so that it has the potential for building functions. The conclusion obtained is based on the results of data analysis, it is necessary to have a building that can function as an evacuation container for the community when a disaster occurs in the coastal area of Palu Bay, thereby reducing the number of casualties. The benefit of this research is that it is a solution for local people to save themselves when the tsunami disaster.

In the biomedical field, the use of fluorescence imaging in the second near-infrared (NIR-II) region is growing rapidly because it imparts the advantages of reduced autofluorescence and low photon scattering. The advantage of reduced scattering is that it increases penetration depth in vivo and improves imaging clarity. Herein, this work uses mesoporous silica, a biocompatible template that can be easily modified, functionalized, and loaded with drugs for use in several bioapplications. The ZnGa2O4 spinel oxide system is integrated into mesoporous silica and different concentrations of Cr3+ and Ni2+ are loaded in octahedral sites to obtain the highest emission intensity in the NIR-II region at 1285 nm via energy transfer from Cr3+ to Ni2+. Given that only a few nanophosphor systems with emission in the NIR-II region are available, this work attempts to establish emission in the NIR-II and NIR-I regions to obtain images in vivo with an increased penetration depth to 5 mm and improved clarity for bioimaging purposes. This system will open the door for biomedical research on other NIR-II nanophosphors. © 2023 Wiley-VCH GmbH.
