This research introduces the Smart Direct Couple Motor Operated Valve (SDCMOV), designed to enhance agricultural efficiency and sustainability. SDCMOV automates the distribution of water and fertilizers in vegetable farming, reducing labor intensity and inefficiencies. The system addresses key issues such as minimizing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) among farmers and ensuring consistent nutrient delivery for optimal plant growth. Energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and remotely controllable via mobile devices, SDCMOV significantly improves irrigation and fertilization processes. Experimental results suggest that SDCMOV is a viable solution for sustainable and modern agricultural practices, particularly in developing countries. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Widyaiswara is required to show the best performance to fulfill his duties and obligations. Therefore, it is very important to measure the performance of the Widyaiswara, so that it can be used as evaluation material by the BPSDM PROVSU. However, the assessment process that occurs is still not precise and time-consuming. Therefore, to minimize this, a decision support system is needed that can minimize time errors and data processing in decision-making so that the assessment runs well and accurately. This system was built by applying the WASPAS method and the TOPSIS method. Based on the results of tests carried out five times, the results of the WASPAS method processing time resulted in an average processing time of 0.00029791 ms and an average memory usage value of 2.836.44 kb, while the results of the TOPSIS method processing time test resulted in an average processing time - an average of 0.000296428 ms and an average memory usage value of 2.862.34 kb. © 2022 IEEE.

The rapid development of technology presents a new paradigm, one of which is in the transportation sector. The concept of smart mobility is one of the components in the realization of a smart city, which is closely related to the transportation sector. The Purwokerto-Purbalingga Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is the government's effort to encourage the transportation sector towards smart mobility. It requires three crucial categories: Accessibility, sustainability, and communication and information technology. This study proves and explains that these three categories can be fulfilled by the Purwokerto-Purbalingga Bus Rapid Transit, especially from women's perception, indicated by an average accessibility score of 4.04, sustainability of 4.22, and Information and Communication Technology of 3.80. Efforts that can be taken by the government and Bus Rapid Transit managers include monitoring and evaluating bus stops and bus arrival frequencies as well as developing mobile-based applications that provide real-time information related to bus rapid transit. © 2021 IEEE.

Geotourism is rapidly experiencing rapid growth in developing countries, such as Indonesia, and it is a component of sustainable tourism. In addition, the country has many areas of geodiversity in cities or towns that potentially can become urban geotourism destinations, such as the Bandung Basin area. This region is characterized by geological features, including young volcanic rocks surrounding the mountains, alluvial fans, and lake deposits at lower elevations extending from Rancaekek to the base of Mount Lagadar in the western part of the area. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the respective roles of stakeholders in urban geotourism development. The study used literature review and interview methodology, where data was interpreted with stakeholder analysis, and complemented by descriptive analysis. The results showed that stakeholders were divided into primary (quadrant 1), key (quadrant 2), and secondary (quadrant 3) categories, each with distinct interests and degree of influence. As urban tourism expands, it presents ongoing opportunities to cultivate sustainable practices within these locales. The establishment of urban geotourism necessitates the identification and evaluation of engaged stakeholders. The subsequent planning and management initiatives for the Bandung Basin area can be enhanced through the active participation of stakeholders. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

The efforts to mitigate floods are necessary. One of the tools that can contribute to flood mitigation is the Flood Early Warning System (FEWS). The main goal of this study is to design a prototype of FEWS that can be easily used anywhere, anytime, and provide accurate water level readings. The prototype system is designed using an Ultrasonic Sensor for water level detection, an alarm system, and Blynk as a web and mobile dashboard. The prototype consists of four main components: Ultrasonic Sensor HC-SR04, Arduino Nano, NodeMCU, and HC-12. It comprises two units: a transmitter unit and a receiver unit. To determine the accuracy and consistency of the Ultrasonic Sensor, the author conducted testing using calibration, non-continuous, and continuous methods. The accuracy obtained was 99.71%. Additionally, the author observed high consistency in the readings of the ultrasonic sensor, as evident from continuous sensor reading test results. Furthermore, the receiver unit successfully displayed output according to the water level threshold for each condition. Additionally, the Blynk web and mobile dashboard were able to display output as per the design. However, we suggest adding data logging features and also solar panels as a renewable power source to support the improved prototype system.

Sugarcane bagasse is a biomass with very potential, especially in agricultural countries. In this research, a study related to pretreatment and the ratio of C/N to biogas production from sugarcane bagasse was conducted. The study was carried out on a laboratory scale with physical pretreatment by grinding with a size of 6 mesh, then biological pretreatment with the microbial consortium 5 % g/V, and variations in the C/N ratio at 25 and 30. Cow rumen fluid was used in this study as a source of anaerobic bacteria and technical urea is used to adjust the C/N ratio. The solid total is set at 7 %. Based on research that has been carried out for 60 days, it was found that physical pretreatment by grinding with a size of 6 mesh can increase biogas production. Biogas production increased both at C/N ratio conditions of 25 and 30. Furthermore, biological pretreatment with the microbial consortium 5 % g/V was proven to increase biogas production at both C/N ratios of 25 and 30. Further studies on the C/N ratio, it was found that the C/N ratio of 25 was better than the C/N ratio of 30. This is evident in several variables, including raw and fine substrate conditions, as well as on variables with or without a microbial consortium, with the amount of biogas productivity at a C/N 25 ratio of 53-90.5 % higher than the C/N 30 ratio. © 2023 Elsevier Ltd. In today’s complex global environments, it is highly challenging to achieve effective healthcare management. The critical challenges faced by healthcare management are being met by the revolution of m-health where mobile cloud computing plays a major role. The taxonomy of mobile computing comprises operational aspects, end-user issues, and service quality and mobility management. The use of smartphone technologies and applications has become a highly significant approach to improving healthcare management. Mobile health services such as mobile pathology, mobile neurosurgery, cancer treatment, and behavioral/psychological disorders are gaining significance where smartphone applications are being used. Portability, flexibility, and convenience are major characteristics of mobile computing that have helped patients and doctors to develop better relationships through coordination and communication. The relationship between smartphone technologies and applications and healthcare management can be understood in several broad aspects. This article aims to analyze the current and future implications of these technologies on healthcare and disease management systems.

Hand gesture control represents an alternative means of human-computer interaction. The focus of this research lies in an interactive medium, which takes the form of a hand controller specifically engineered to steer an unmanned aerial vehicle. This controller boasts remote and versatile capabilities, enhancing the overall experience of UAV flight control. The controller utilizes an Arduino microcontroller, a BNO055 IMU sensor for orientation, and a potentiometer for throttle control. The program implements a finite automaton (FA) for state-based control and communicates with the ExpressLRS receiver using the CRSF protocol. The experimental findings from the developed radio control device demonstrated no significant delay. The latency of the device is only 40ms. The system exhibited responsiveness within a 216 m range despite encountering various obstacles and interference during the tests. It utilized ExpressLRS with a power consumption of 25 mW.

In this study, we built an Electronic Nose to detect pineapple ripeness. We designed a prototype E-Nose using a wooden crate. Inside the box, we built the E-Nose using 9 MQ sensor circuits connected to the Arduino Microcontroller. In the crate, we put an object, namely a pineapple with three levels of ripeness (ripe, half ripe, and unripe), each weighing 1kg placed in three different positions (5cm, 20cm, and 35cm) from the position of the sensor array (E-nose). We converted the signal output results into ppm units. We compared the value of each fruit signal based on the level of ripeness and distance using E-Nose. We used several signal processing methods (wavelets) for signal processing. Then, we improved the signal generated using wavelet. The wavelet methods used are Moving Average, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). The contribution of this research is to see the influence of the signal valuegenerated from the sensor (MQ Sensor) to the position (distance) of the object (fruit) and its influence on the level of maturity (fruit). Then signalgenerated from the sensor we make improvements with the mva, fft, and dwt methods. © 2022 IEEE.

Deafness is a condition that results in the loss of hearing function, hindering the reception of information such as oral communication that relies on auditory senses. Consequently, individuals with hearing impairment experience communication barriers and may have limited or no ability to respond. One solution is the use of sign language. In Indonesia, there are two known sign languages: Sibi and Bisindo. Both serve the same function but differ in their style of movement and expression. Bisindo is considered more flexible as it conveys meaning based on the Indonesian language. However, the universal understanding of this language solution is still limited among many people. Therefore, a program is needed to facilitate translation between deaf individuals who use sign language and their counterparts who do not communicate through sign language. CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) is a deep learning algorithm used for training visual input data recognition by computer systems. There are various CNN-based architectures, and one of them is AlexNet. Based on the author's testing, the AlexNet architecture proves to be suitable for real-time sign language translation. The evaluation of the system involved 7,800 datasets and 520 testing instances, with an average accuracy of 468 correct translations. When averaged, the system achieved a 90% accuracy rate, representing a 100% increase in accuracy compared to previous approaches. © 2023 IEEE.
