Robots have become increasingly important in a variety of life domains as a result of the rapid advancement of technology. Additionally, robots are employed in education as teaching assistants in science, art, and language courses. This research aims to explore the potential of robotic systems as a multipurpose tool for increasing cultural awareness, language proficiency, and communicative competence in the GenAI era. Language games, conversation simulations, and real-time feedback mechanisms are just a few examples of interactive scenarios enabled by virtual robot systems or tutor robots that enable immersive language experiences that go beyond the limitations of conventional schooling. This research contributes knowledge that explores how AI can be used to personalize language teaching according to the needs and learning styles of each student in higher education. The total population of undergraduate students involved in this research was 350 for the 2023 academic year, with 24 students selected purposefully based on sample characteristics from this group who were exposed to using AI for one semester. The research method used is a mix method with quantitative analysis of the results of surveys and interviews with students who are known to have given positive responses and proposes a comprehensive strategy for using AI robot technology in EFL classrooms, which can significantly improve effective learning outcomes. The survey results also show that if educators have a solid understanding of the relationship between linguistic acquisition and technological advances, they will be better prepared to design engaging, individualized lessons that prepare their students to use the language effectively in real-world contexts. The robot-assisted language learning (RALL) approach used in this study, with the integration of robots in the classroom, has the potential to change the way people learn languages to make it more interesting, fun, and motivating, increase engagement

Design teaching which is part of the system development life cycle, both information systems and application systems is very important to be taught, learned and understood in the informatics engineering study program. System design teaching in private universities in Indonesia whose students are very diverse in terms of abilities and skills require teaching materials, lecture strategies, quality of lecturers and facilities that must also be able to adapt to the challenges and complexity in teaching. The study of system design teaching uses Hevner's information systems research framework which includes the steps of constructing artifacts in the form of constructs, models, methods, instances and evaluation of artifacts using case study in informatics engineering lecture. The use of the framework is intended to support business strategies and processes in study programs and to ensure the relevance of research. The result of research is a model and evaluation of the model. First, this research will produce a system design teaching model that can be used as a reference in the informatics engineering study program to produce graduates with good literacy, skills using the stages of system design, understanding user needs and system design capabilities. Second, evaluating the model that has been built by applying it to the case study on human computer interaction lecture and measuring the results of lectures to improve the quality of lecture material, teaching and students. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Bioethanol has many functions both as a chemical, food and as a source of energy. The development of bioethanol production is currently leading to the residue of the main product. So that in this study the biomass of arena or Arenga Pinatta was used with a large availability of waste. Therefore, a performance and economic analysis was carried out in the production of bioethanol from palm biomass with ionic liquid (IL) using SuperPro Designer (SPD) Software. As a preparatory stage, the process of testing the characteristics of the biomass is carried out to obtain the most optimal composition of palm sugar in bioethanol production. After simulating the conditions according to the experimental process on the most optimal palm biomass composition, it was found that the most optimal Ionic Liquid (IL) and biomass ratio was at 0.5 g/g with the ethanol concentration obtained at 90.6 g/L at 13 hours which corresponds to theoretical yield of 96% conversion of biomass to ethanol. Meanwhile, the production of ethanol in a factory for energy can minimize the price of ethanol by 30% from the initial price. Thus, with the abundant availability of biomass, bioethanol production with aren biomass has the potential to be developed in Indonesia. © 2023 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

The microfluidic device needs multi-step fabrication, and this process relatively takes time because it requires meticulous treatment. This approach, using laser engraving, reduces the conventional mold fabrication step which is created by soft lithography in the cleanroom. For biomedical research purposes, a certain dimension of the microfluidic design needs to be achieved. Meanwhile, different material needs different variable setting in laser engraving. This article’s research objectives are seeking the optimum variable to achieve targeted dimension and investigating the influenced parameters lead to better understand the laser engraving fabrication process. The Poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) sheets had been engraved to a particular dimension refers to the mold design that uses in the microfluidic device. The result showed that parameters meet the desired dimension found at values: 1000 for resolution, 95 for power, 500 for frequency, and 60 for speed. It can be noted that these adjusted parameters were performed for a single passage. Moreover, these influenced parameters also had been investigated to see their effect related to the engraving result. The result showed that the speed was the most significant parameter meanwhile the frequency has a stagnant value in the laser engraving process. This study also observed that higher resolution could smoother the rough surface. This study emerges the potential of laser engraving as rapid prototyping machinery for microfluidic technology. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Big data refers to big data, fast data processing, diversity of data structures, and data values so that it is not possible to be processed with outdated methods. Big data technology is used in various industrial sectors. Big data technology is the whole technology that can handle Big Data. Some of the uses of big data are based on the largest significant data traffic sources such as social media, financial transactions, public data, sensor data, and corporate data. The same is the case with the status of so many villages in Indonesia, so it is better to use big data for the classification of village status based on the village index build by involving an algorithm process. This research aims to produce a description of the role of big data in supporting activities in a grouping. The method used is a qualitative approach related to data collection based on scientific work with the source of data information needed to study literature techniques from various studies that have been published in national and international journals. Big data technology is the overall technology that can handle the processing associated with analyzing the data to explore the potential that is in it. Some of the uses of big data are based on the biggest data traffic sources, such as social media, financial transactions, public data, censorship data, and company data. The problem found in the accumulation of village status data that has not been utilized in the decision-making process to determine the status of the next village and the absence of an application to process the data stored in the data database so that a tool is developed to analyze the buildup. The results of this study are to produce a prototype design that is Unified Modeling Language (UML) design, Form Design, and Database Design that will be used to develop Big Data Technology in determining the classification of village status based on the Village Build index. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Composite is a material that combines two or more materials that basically dissimilar chemical or physical properties from one another. In this research, we used Acropora coral reef waste particulate and Resin Polyester BQTN type 157 with Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) 1% as the hardener. The Hand Lay-Up molding technique is used in the process of making the material. The tensile and flexure test is done according to the ASTM D3090 and ASTM D790 – 03 standards. The purpose of this research is to discover the means to produce a composite enhanced by Acropora coral reef waste with polyester matrix and to learn the tensile and flexure strength from the Acropora coral reef waste particulate-enhanced polyester composites with mass fraction varieties of 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%. The tensile test result of Acroporal coral reef waste particulate with polyester matrix yields average tensile strength at mass fraction variety of 40% with a score of 19,66 MPa, with an Modulus score of 636,75 MPa. The flexure test result of Acropora coral reef waste particulate with polyester matrix yields average flexure stress at mass fraction variety of 40% with a score of 112,56 MPa, with an average Elastic Modulus score of 3098,96 MPa. © 2021 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland.

Farmers and agricultural newcomers often rely on intuition for plant nutrient management, leading to inaccuracies. This study presents a real-time soil nutrient monitoring and plant recommendation system using IoT and machine learning. The prototype integrates an ESP32 microcontroller, NPK sensor, soil pH sensor, and DHT11 with an application and a machine learning model. The model employs a hard voting method combining random forest, LightGBM, and support vector machine algorithms, deployed via Flask API and hosted on Vercel. Testing showed the system effectively monitors soil nutrients in real-time, with a pH sensor error margin of ±0.51 and NPK sensor readings displaying a non-linear increase in levels. The hard voting method achieved 98.5% accuracy, with recommendation processing taking less than one second (371.17ms) and CPU usage at 7%. System performance depends on internet speed, while recommendation accuracy is influenced by temperature and humidity. This system offers a practical solution for precision agriculture by optimizing nutrient application and plant recommendations.

One of the critical visual components in video game creation is 3D asset prototypes, which also require significant effort. A procedural model using the L-system method for making low-poly buildings can address this issue. This model produces low-poly buildings based on simple parameters input by the user. The model receives input in the form of axioms, which are then processed according to predetermined L-system rules. After the building is formed, it is saved as a prefab in Unity so that it can be reused and modified by the user. The proposed method is implemented to our turn-based tactic *** and provided as a Unity package (add-on). Experimental results show that the buildings generated by the model have a minimalistic yet functional benefits.

The development of technology is happening so rapidly, giving a positive impact in various aspects of life. However, despite its benefits, technology also has a negative impact on the environment. The increased use of IT devices leads to an increase in the global carbon footprint. Green IT emerges as a solution to reduce environmental impact through resource efficiency and energy-saving behavior. Undiksha, with the vision of Tri Hita Karana, has taken steps towards Green IT, such as the use of power-efficient computers and paperless behavior support systems. However, the readiness of Undiksha’s academic community in adopting the Green IT concept is still a question. This study aims to measure Undiksha’s level of readiness in implementing Green IT, by referring to the G-Readiness Framework (attitude, policy, practice, technology, and governance). The questionnaire was distributed to the Undiksha academic community, and the data collected was analyzed descriptively. Based on the results of the readiness measurement analysis, it was found that the leadership respondents were ready, the implementation of Green IT could be continued, the general community respondents and IT professionals were in a ready condition, but needed improvement. Although ready in general, there are several aspects that need to be improved, such as alternative energy policies, and IT waste recycling measures. Furthermore, SWOT analysis was carried out to formulate strategies to improve the readiness of Green IT implementation at Undiksha. The recommendations include socialisation strategies, centralised policies, equal distribution of facilities, and increased paperless behaviour.
