Electronic devices have become an integral component in our daily activities. In fact, the consumption of electrical energy in households reached 49% in 2018, and is expected to increase to 58% in 2050. Concurrently, the LPG is the second highest consumed energy in the household and is expected to increase to 37% in 2050. However, the devices utilizing these energies could lead to a danger such as housefire if not operated and treated carefully. An Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart home monitoring system would solve this problem, especially by effectively monitoring several parameters in the house simultaneously. In this study, a system is built to monitor and control three rooms in the house independently and simultaneously. The sensors and/or actuators in all rooms are controlled by NodeMCU ESP8266s. All microcontrollers are linked via the Internet to a local server, where all data is analyzed, saved, and transmitted to the user using the MQTT protocol. The monitoring is done by the user via MQTT dashboard in the smartphone. Following testing, the three microcontrollers are fully capable of exchanging data with the user's smartphone. The humidity changed by 1%, while the temperature changed by 0.1 °C. Perfect data interchange is possible between the relays, flame, gas, and movement activity sensor. © 2023 IEEE.

The problems and challenges for the government in seeing disease growth trend patterns are very important. This research focuses on infectious diseases, namely Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), while non-communicable illnesses focus on epilepsy and thalassemia in 2023-2024. The priority in this research is that the Health Service can take action to prevent disease distribution patterns that are seen based on the results of identifying patterns and trends using the fuzzy c-means model and mapping for each region. The research methodology includes collecting patient data, inputted by recorded medical data consisting of sub-district data and the number of incidents. The research results of the Fuzzy C-means model in analyzing infectious disease trend patterns show 3 clusters. The first cluster of vulnerable areas has four sub-districts: Sawang, Syamtalira Bayu, Dewantara and Muara Batu. Then, the second cluster still consists of 18 sub-districts. Finally, the safe cluster consists of 8 sub-districts. Meanwhile, the results of the ward model research showed that there were 2 clusters, namely vulnerable consisting of 19 sub-districts and safe eight sub-districts, which were then included in the spatial map. Meanwhile, analysis of non-communicable disease patterns using fuzzy c-means, namely thalassemia and epilepsy in cluster C1 (High) in 4 and 7 sub-districts, medium cluster in 9 and 7, and low cluster in 14 and 16 sub-districts. Therefore, this research can provide an important picture for the Health Service in analyzing trends in cluster patterns of growth of infectious and non-communicable diseases in children. © 2023 IEEE.

The patient's infusion fluid will only be changed if the nurse changes it or based on information from the patient's family. The research method used in terms of fluid volume utilizes the function of the Arduino microcontroller as the brain, the load cell sensor as an infusion fluid weight detector connected to the IoT, fuzzy logic calculations on the infusion volume weight measuring device in line with real-time decision-making when reading gram weight changes with sensors, and the system development method using a prototype model. The test results of three infusion bottles containing mineral water with a liquid volume of 500 ml and a load cell sensor as an infusion weight detector can be accepted by the Arduino Wemos D1 as a load cell sensor processing component. The infusion liquid weight data is uploaded to the MySQL database, and a notification is sent and displayed on the smartphone when the infusion volume reaches 12% of its weight. The results of this study indicate that the design of tools connected to applications on smartphones can work well and facilitate the process of monitoring infusions for patients in real-time © 2024 IEEE.

Filler serves as a filling for the voids between coarse aggregate and fine aggregate in the AC-WC mixture. The filler has a significant effect on the marshall characteristics of the AC-WC mixture even though it is only as a filler. This study aims to investigate the effect of fly ash, volcanic ash, rice husk ash on marshall characteristics. The research data obtained from secondary data based on previous researchers, (Pratama 2021) for fly ash filler, (Rezi 2021) for volcanic ash filler, (Malacca 2021) for rice husk ash filler. The data is in the form of variations in the percentage of filler (fly ash, rice husk and volcano ash) with the same asphalt content. The sample was processed for statistical testing using SPSS version 26 software to determine the effect of asphalt content and filler percentage on marshall characteristics. Optimum Asphalt Content (OAC) test results obtained 6.1% fly ash, 6.2% volcanic ash, 6.7% rice husk ash. The test results on Marshall showed the most influential filler in the 2% rice husk ash filler with density, stability, Marshall Quontient (MQ) and VMA values, while the Flow value obtained the highest value in 1% volcanic ash filler. For the VFB of fly ash and rice husk ash, there was a decrease in the value of the filler content of 2% and 2.5% and an increase in the filler content of 3%. The results of statistical tests using SPSS show that those that have a significant positive linear influence on the asphalt content and filler percentage are Stability and Marshall Quotient (MQ). One of the methods used to increase channel capacity is the Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) methods. The increase in channel capacity in PD-NOMA multiple access means that the maximum power used by each user in each narrow band achieves increased power efficiency. Therefore, this research focuses on facilitating the increase in channel capacity by designing an antenna that produces a radiation pattern with many sharp main lobes and high gain. The multi-beam radiation pattern is obtained by using edge weighting. Therefore the antenna is designed with odd and even numbers represented by 1x5 and 1x6 antennas on the microstrip patch rectangular antenna at a frequency of 2.6 GHz. The effect of parasitic and non-parasite effects on the radiation pattern of a planar antenna with edge modeling is manageable in the main lobe, only in the side level lobe, which is not too significant. However, the number of main lobes on the 1x6 antenna has seven beam patterns, and the 1x5 antenna has five. The highest gain value obtains in the 1x6 design with a parasitic of 6.01 dB. This value meets the Gain requirements for 5G cellular systems. © 2023 IEEE.

This study examines the decline in the usage of the Javanese language, which has experienced a decrease in the number of speakers from approximately 82 million in 2007 to 68.2 million in 2015. The convergence of the Javanese script and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology is proposed as a solution, allowing for the preservation and accessibility of the Javanese script in the digital age. The integration of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) in Javanese script classification achieved a high accuracy rate of 92.95% in identifying positive and negative cases. The dataset used for training consisted of 8440 sample images, which were divided into 20 subfolders for training and testing. The results presented in Table IV demonstrate the successful implementation of the classification model, achieving a 98.87% sensitivity, 100% precision, and 98.88% specificity. This research contributes to the preservation and understanding of the culturally significant Javanese script while addressing the decline in its usage. © 2023 IEEE.

A remote telescope system has been established at Universitas Nusa Cendana, Kupang. Bosscha Observatory, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), and the Physics study program at Universitas Nusa Cendana (Undana) collaborated to develop the system. The ITB-Undana Telescope system has a QSI 616 CCD camera and BV RI Bessel filter attached to a 20-cm (f/10) Schmidt-Cassegrain reflector. Several research and public outreach activities have been conducted using the ITB-Undana remote telescope throughout 2023. When establishing a new astronomical observation site, it is imperative to conduct sky characterization and quality assessment. This process involves measuring night sky brightness and atmospheric extinction coefficients. In May 2023, we observed photometric standard stars using the absolute photometry technique with BV RI Bessel filters. We also utilized the Sky Quality Meter (SQM) to measure night sky brightness over three nights from May 24th to May 26th, 2023, to compare the sky brightness values obtained through the absolute photometry method. Our initial measurement shows a first-order extinction coefficient value ranging from kb′ = 0.269 to 0.520, kv′ = 0.216 to 0.297, kr′ = 0.019 to 0.206, and ki′ = 0.127 to 0.163, for B, V, R, and I filter, respectively. Application of extinction coefficient value in the sky field gives a mean sky brightness value in V bandpass, Vsky = 19.431 ± 0.022, with color index (B - V )sky = 0.492 ± 0.039. These night sky brightness values are suitable for measurements using the SQM. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The representatives of student associations at Private University are entrusted with the responsibility of empowering, facilitating, and nurturing the growth of the students, lecturers, and alumni within their respective programs. If the elected representatives do not align with the general consensus, problems are bound to arise. Therefore, student participation during the annual voting period is of utmost importance. When voting participation is low, the risk of the majority voice not being heard increases. Data from the General Election Commission in the private university reveals that among the four student associations in the Tech and IT faculty, three of them have a participation rate lower than 50%.This research aims to develop an E-Voting system for Student Associations within the university, with the intention of replacing the currently utilized Google Form system and enhancing student participation in future voting periods. While constructing an electronic voting system, the security and confidentiality of participants are vital. The Paillier homomorphic encryption algorithm is employed in the system to encrypt and decrypt voting messages sent by voters, ensuring their confidentiality. This algorithm was chosen due to its relative recency, speed, and relevance to this research in comparison to other algorithms. A user acceptance test conducted using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) has demonstrated that the application has been successfully developed, with user assessments of 87.50% for perceived ease of use, 72.27% for perceived usefulness, 74.74% for behavioral intention, and 86.46% for actual usage.

Software testing is a phase in software development to ensure software quality. As more and more software is developed for web and mobile platforms, Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer is responsible to test software on both platforms to ensure functionality on each platform. While automated test can be implemented to reduce the workload of SQA Engineer, it has its setbacks as automated test needs a huge effort to maintain it and available tools to develop automated test currently only support one platform. In this research, an automated test framework is proposed and developed that can test both web and mobile platforms. Compared to an automated test project that uses separate tools, a project that uses the proposed framework has 2.57% higher maintainability index. A user test to 3 SQA Engineers has also been conducted and the proposed framework has generally been given high maintainability rating. © 2022 ACM.
