Efficient energy management is a cornerstone of advancing cognitive cities,where AI,IoT,and cloud computing seamlessly integrate to meet escalating global energy *** this context,the ability to forecast electricity consumption with precision is vital,particularly in residential settings where usage patterns are highly variable and *** study presents an innovative approach to energy consumption forecasting using a bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)*** a dataset containing over twomillionmultivariate,time-series observations collected froma single household over nearly four years,ourmodel addresses the limitations of traditional time-series forecasting methods,which often struggle with temporal dependencies and non-linear *** bidirectional LSTM architecture processes data in both forward and backward directions,capturing past and future contexts at each time step,whereas existing unidirectional LSTMs consider only a single temporal *** design,combined with dropout regularization,leads to a 20.6%reduction in RMSE and an 18.8%improvement in MAE over conventional unidirectional LSTMs,demonstrating a substantial enhancement in prediction accuracy and *** to existing models—including SVM,Random Forest,MLP,ANN,and CNN—the proposed model achieves the lowest MAE of 0.0831 and RMSE of 0.2213 during testing,significantly outperforming these *** results highlight the model’s superior ability to navigate the complexities of energy usage patterns,reinforcing its potential application in AI-driven IoT and cloud-enabled energy management systems for cognitive *** integrating advanced machine learning techniqueswith IoT and cloud infrastructure,this research contributes to the development of intelligent,sustainable urban environments.

As in the existing opinion summary data set, more than 70% are positive texts, the current opinion summarization approaches are reluctant to generate the negative opinion summary given the input of negative opinions. To address such sentiment bias, two approaches are proposed through two perspectives: model-specific and model-agnostic. For the model-specific approach, a variational autoencoder is proposed to disentangle the input representation into sentiment-relevant and sentiment-irrelevant components through adversarial loss. Therefore, the sentiment information in the input is kept and employed for the following decoding which avoids interference of content information with emotional signals. To further avoid relying on some specific opinion summarization frameworks, a model-agnostic approach based on counterfactual data augmentation is proposed. A dataset with a more balanced emotional polarity distribution is constructed using a large pre-trained language model based on some pairwise and mini-edited principles. Experimental results show that the sentiment consistency of the generated summaries is significantly improved using the proposed approaches, while their semantics quality is unaffected. © 2024 ELRA Language Resource Association: CC BY-NC 4.0.

This paper forecasts the microeconomic level household expenditures using a novel hybrid deep learning approach. In terms of research significance, household finance control has a major influence on the finance system within the economy. Accurate forecasting of household finances assists in maintaining positive financial behavior among individuals and the economy. The DeepBoost multi-output regressor proposed in this paper is based on the 1D CNN-ANN and the XGBoost. The proposed model in this paper is compared with the R 2 , MSE, and MAE since it’s a regression problem. The experimental results reveal that the proposed DeepBoost multi-output regressor has the best application in forecasting the multiple expenditures of households by outperforming the ANN, 1D CNN-ANN, and Random Forest Regressor models. The proposed DeepBoost multi-output regressor evaluated the housing, food, transportation, healthcare, other necessities, childcare, and tax expenditures that had 0.94, 0.98, 0.83, 0.94, 0.97, 0.97, and 0.99 values for the R 2 , 9037.71, 2692.12, 9788, 15077.33, 1373.93, 13629.36, and 1904.52 values for the MSE, and 66.07, 34.05, 73.17, 87.05, 26.25, 78.74, and 29.47 MAE values than the ANN, RFR, and 1D CNN-ANN models.

Quantum computing is progressing at a fast rate and there is a real threat that classical cryptographic methods can be compromised and therefore impact the security of blockchain networks. All of the ways used to secure blockchain like Rivest–Shamir–Adleman (RSA), Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Secure Hash Algorithm 256-bit (SHA256) are the characteristic of the traditional cryptographic techniques vulnerable to attack by quantum algorithms: Shor’s and Grover’s algorithms: can efficiently break asymmetric encryption and speed up brute force attacks. Because of this vulnerability, there exists a need to develop an advance quantum resilient blockchain framework to protect the decentralized ledgers from the future threats of the quantum. This research proposes Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Quantum Random Number Generation (QRNG) as a formidable architectural integration, to fortify security of blockchain. Classical encryption is replaced with PQC, QKD with secure key exchange by detecting eavesdropping, and QRNG with improving cryptographic randomness to remove the predictable key vulnerability. Only with a small loss of transaction efficiency, we increase transaction encryption accuracy, key exchange security, and resistance to quantum attacks. In this quantum enhanced blockchain design, the idea is to preserve the decentralization, transparency and security and at the same time overcome the future quantum threat. By going through rigorous analysis and comparative evaluation, we demonstrate that the approach saves blockchain networks from the emerging quantum risks to make sure that the decentralized finance, smart contracts and cross chain transactions. © (2025), (Science and Information Organization). The goal of this study is to develop and test an automated integrated speech analysis system for detecting mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and dementia in spontaneous free speech. During the years 2010–2016, speech recordings (N = 2800) were obtained from 200 Greek Cypriots over the age of 65. The effectiveness of the Novel Random Forest (RF) Algorithm for predicting cryptocurrency prices was evaluated and compared to the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) Algorithm. Ad hoc, on-demand distance vector routing and dynamic video streaming techniques are used with the aim of increasing the throughput of the video streaming application. Two categories have been distinguished. Dynamic video streaming is the purview of Group 1, and vector routing is the domain of Group 2. The dynamic video streaming method was run with a sample size of 155, an enrolment ratio of 1.1, alpha and beta values of 0.05 and 0.5, and a 95% confidence level. It was also run with a variable number of trials. For this research, the G-power Pretest value is 85%. When it comes to wormhole prediction, the dynamic video streaming mechanism yields 1.57 throughput, while the distance vector navigation on-demand and ad hoc mechanism yields 1.76. E-Learning has emerged as the most effective way of getting information in a range of sectors in the contemporary age. The utilisation of electronic content to provide education and development is referred to as e-learning. While the broadening internet has a plethora of e-learning tools, knowledge acquisition is not just an aspect that adds to an individual's enrichment. Assessment and evaluation are crucial parts of every learning system. Due to more complex assessments and quicker inspection, multiple choice questions are becoming extremely prevalent in current evaluations. However, establishing a diversified pool of MCQs relevant to a certain subject matter presents a hurdle. Manually creating high-quality MCQ exams is a time-consuming and arduous procedure that demands skill. As a result, research has concentrated on the automated construction of well-structured MCQ-based tests. This paper presents a paradigm using natural language processing based on semantic similarity and dynamic ontology. The proposed QG-SKI model uses LOD Cloud and Wiki Data to generate Ontologies dynamically and Knowledge reservoir is performed. The dataset is analysed using TF-IDF algorithm and the Semantic Similarity and Semantic Dissimilarity are computed using Shannon’s entropy, Jaccard Similarity and Normalised Google Distance. These algorithms are executed for a multitude of degrees and levels to generate a similar of similar instances. Post-stroke rehabilitation of upper extremity (UE) motor function is essential. Despite the widespread use of UE rehabilitation in clinical settings, assessing the success of these treatments is challenging. Methods for evaluating UE motor function include task performance under clinical supervision, patient self-reports, and data analysis from wearable devices equipped with accelerometers and gyroscopes. In prior research, we demonstrated that machine learning and deep learning models using data from a single wrist-worn accelerometer sensor could accurately differentiate between functional and non-functional UE movements in stroke patients. To overcome the limitations of single wrist-worn accelerometer sensors - challenges in capturing the full context of functional movements - this study presents a new deep learning (DL) based framework designed to classify functional and non-functional arm movements in videos captured from a conventional camera. The system is entirely automated and comprises two DL networks. The first network performs human pose estimation, extracting 2D pose key points of the paretic arm(s) and torso on 2-second sequences of the frames. The second network then uses these 2D pose landmarks to classify the movement sequence as functional or non-functional. This system offers two key benefits for rehabilitation. First, it can automatically generate initial annotations for video frames, significantly reducing the time needed for manual labeling. Second, analyzing the effectiveness of UE rehabilitation through third-person videos allows for objective outcome measurement of UE treatments in stroke survivors' home environments. © 2024 IEEE.
