Collective Intelligence has received much attention in recent years, as organizations and businesses discover the power of crowds. With new technologies, such as blogs, twitter, wikis, photo sharing, collaborative tagging and social networking sites, people may create and disseminate content as never before. Many organizations are looking for ways to harness this power, which is being called collective intelligence. Additionally, many open-source initiatives have shown that it is possible to obtain high quality results from collectively produced work. In this paper, we consider the domain of emergency response. We have been working in this domain for a few years now, mostly focusing on small disaster relief groups and field command. One of the command problems is lack of information about the location where the disaster occurred. We believe some of this information could be crowdsourced, changing current practices and enabling more effective response to the situation. In this paper, we discuss the possibilities for crowdsourcing and present an initial proposal for harnessing collective intelligence for the fire department. © 2010 IEEE.

The number of vehicles on the road will continue to expand as cities worldwide grow in population. This increases transportation congestion, especially in major cities and especially during rush hour. This phenomenon continuously pushes academics, city authorities, and urban planners to enhance traffic control systems for safety and efficiency. The application of Internet of Things (IoT) in the field of intelligent transportation systems is getting the attention of many parties. A well-controlled transportation management system can reduce congestion, especially at intersections and roads. This study was conducted to observe and study the development of research in transportation management, especially the use of IoT technology. There are 743 documents according to the keywords given related to IMS and ITS, the period 2012 until September 2021. Mapping of these articles, both in terms of publishers, the relationship between authors, and the methods used from keywords, abstracts, and titles, is expected to help the author determine research gaps and future research directions. © 2022 IEEE.

Nowadays, the utilization of Internet of Things (IoT) is commonly used in the tourism industry, including aviation, where passengers of flight services can rate their satisfaction levels towards the product and service they use by writing their reviews in the form of text-based data on many popular websites. These passenger reviews are collections of potential big data and can be analyzed in order to extract meaningful informations. Some text mining algorithms are already in common use, including the Bayes formula and Support Vector Machine methods. This research proposes an implementation of the Bayes and SVM methods where these algorithms will operate independently yet integrated with other modules such as input data, text pre-processing and shows output result concisely in one single information system. The proposed system was successfully delivered 1000 documents of passenger reviews as input data, then after implemented the pre-processing method, the Bayes formula was used to classify the document reviews into 5 categories, including plane condition, flight comfort, staff service, food and entertainment, and price. While simultanously, the positive and negative sentiment contained in the review document was analyzed with SVM method and shows the accuracy score of 83.6% for a training to testing set ratio of 50:50, while 82.75% accuracy for the 60:40 ratio, and 83.3% accuracy for the 70:30 ratio. This research shows that two different text mining algorithms can be implemented simultaneously in a effective and efficient way, while still providing an accurate and satisfying performance results in one integrated information system. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2020.

Millions of people worldwide have developed Parkinson's disease (PD), which is more common by 50. Advances in information technology, especially in the field of machine learning, are being challenged for the development of early detection algorithms. This helps doctors to detect disease early and more accurately based on data. The available data has large dimensions and features so that the feature selection method can be used. This research paper aims to provide insight by comparing several algorithms for feature selection and PD classification. PD classification can help improve treatment efficiency and save time. The problem that arises is how the classification algorithm can show better and more efficient accuracy results. A large number of datasets is one of the challenges in the development of classification algorithms. The voice input dataset was obtained from the UCI machine learning repository. Bagging's algorithm out performed on average 100%, and MLP 96.58%, and RF 92.52%. © 2021 IEEE.

One of the causes of death of children under five is chronic malnutrition or stunting. The government has made a policy as an effort to reduce stunting. Specific intervention nutrition programs are activities that directly address the occurrence of stunting. Evaluation of edit interventions that have currently been carried out but have not separated the process based on intervention indicators so that it results in a long processing time and large exit costs so we need a system that can accelerate the process of evaluating specific interventions. Information systems for evaluating specific interventions can be a solution to this problem. In this study, an information system for evaluating specific interventions of stunting cases was developed web-based to facilitate real-time operation. The evaluation information system is designed to collect national data and carry out a clustering process using the k-means method and evaluation stucture cluster using silhouette method. In this study an evaluation value of 34 provinces was obtained which was divided into several clusters as a result of evaluation process in the information system. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2020.

Early symptoms of dementia is one of the causes decrease in quality of life. Human activity recognition (HAR) system is proposed to recognize the daily routines which has an important role in detecting early symptoms of dementia. Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) is very useful for sequence analysis that can find the pattern of activities that carried out in daily routines. However, the LSTM model is slow to achieving convergence and take a long time during training. In this paper, we investigated the sequence of actions recorded in smart home sensors data using LSTM model, then the model will be optimized using several optimization methods. The optimization methods were Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD), Adagrad, Adadelta, RMSProp, and Adam. The results showed that using Adam to optimized LSTM is better than other optimization methods. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2020.

Doctor is one of the medical staff who is needed by the community in implementing health in Indonesia. Some provinces in Indonesia have different populations and doctors, an analysis is needed to maximize the number of doctors to the population. In this research, the K-means method was used to divide the cluster into the number of doctors needed and the chi-square method to final testing for the result of clustering. This research will provide results on areas that need to increase the number of doctors or do not need to add additional doctors in Indonesia. Using of the K-means clustering method and chi-square test for doctor analysis, giving results of accuracy which is 78%. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2019.

Food additives are used in meat products for food safety, shelf life and food technology reasons. The types and levels of food additives used in processed meats must comply with the state regulations in order to process safe foods for human consumption. Food additive calculator which is a web-based version, provided by The Thai Food and Drug Administration to help the producers in calculating maximum use level of food additives for all kinds of foods including meats, is found too complicated for small entrepreneurs with inadequate knowledge. Web-based version is also not responsive design and display to users view and is not mobile user oriented. Therefore, this research was aimed to develop a user friendly and convenient mobile application on Android Mobile Operating System for calculating maximum permitted level of food additives used for meat products. This mobile application is designed for calculating four kinds of food additives widely used in ten different favorite meat products. The application gives a correct results of maximum level of each food additives based on the type and weight of meat products. Therefore, this application may be beneficial to reduce the health risk from food additive abuse in meat products. © 2019 Association for Computing Machinery.

Exploring various phenomena and issues related to leaf images is paramount, particularly in segmentation and classification of such images. This study employs bibliometric analysis to delve into two overarching themes: The trends in publication and the evolution of publications, along with a keyword-based analysis. The research methodology unfolds in two stages: (1) data collection and (2) analysis. The dataset comprises 1,248 articles sourced from the Scopus database, covering the period from 1988 to 2023. The research findings unveil a noteworthy surge in publication trends, peaking at 231 documents in 2023. An in-depth examination of journal names demonstrates that studies on the segmentation and classification of leaf images are predominantly featured in computer science journals, exemplified by the publication of 589 documents. Furthermore, an analysis of frequently used keywords highlights 'Extraction' as the predominant term, employed a total of 364 times. This underscores that the research focus on leaf image segmentation and classification presents ample opportunities for researchers to delve more profoundly into the subject. © 2024 IEEE.

Objects with shadow may cause a problem for image classification. For example, it can separate one object into many objects. It can also alter the size or shape of the object resulting in misclassification. In this paper, we focus on removing aircraft shadow from remote sensing images where the shadows occur on wings, bodies, and tails. Since it is very difficult to get shadow-free aircraft images and a shadow aircraft image of the same type for the training part, we adopted Mask-ShadowGAN for solving this issue. The benefit of the Mask-ShadowGAN algorithm is that, in the training part, the technique does not require the same images that have both shadow and shadow-free. In the experiment, we evaluated our proposed technique using RMSE and Jaccard similarity index for measurement. The experimental result shows that our technique shows promising results. We present both best and worst result based on sorted similarity index. © 2021 IEEE.
