Networks in enterprise scale require connectivity that runs continuously so that a backup network is needed that functions as a substitute for the main network in case of problems. Network problems can affect data traffic and Quality. This can be overcome by using a gateway redundancy protocol. To determine the performance of a computer network when switching from the main network to the backup network, performance measurements are needed. Performance measurements are carried out with several scenarios using TCP and UDP packet transmissions to determine the value of Quality of Service, namely Throughput, Jitter, Packet loss and Delay. The results of this study show a comparison of protocol redundancy (FHRP) using EIGRP and OSPF routing by producing the HSRP protocol has the best QoS performance using EIGRP and OSPF routing but has a delay value that is slightly not better than other combinations in several scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

Adolescent individuals who take a step towards adulthood need important education about morals and religion, such as fomo that can lead to bad behavior. Fomo has an impact on the success of adolescents' lives in the future so it requires special attention so that adolescents understand that fomo will damage them. This research aims to create a short animation entitled 'All because of FOMO' using 2.5D animation as an effort to optimize learning activities to increase moral awareness in adolescents. The results of this research has been successful, where an average of 90% of users stated that this animation had been successfully made attractive, the colors were appropriate, the audio was good, and it could describe the bad results of FOMO for teenagers. © 2023 IEEE.

Sales is an important aspect of running a commercial business. To increase sales, it must be accompanied by adequate availability of goods so that consumer needs can be met. However, the challenge in availability is that it is difficult to predict future consumer needs, so overstock and shortages often occur. On the other hand, the organization must be able to provide goods on time. This can be detrimental to the organization. For this reason, many solutions have been developed to overcome this problem, namely by predicting the availability of goods in the future using the single exponential smoothing and Holt-winter exponential smoothing methods. The single exponential smoothing method was used by previous researchers to provide good predictions on annual historical data. However, by using the same data converted into a monthly format, trend and seasonal factors were discovered. Therefore, we perform ex-inventory predictions using a single exponential smoothing method and then compare their performance. Trend and seasonal factors can be handled with the Holt-Winter exponential smoothing method. To determine the best prediction results from both methods for monthly data, we used the MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) method. The research results show that the Holt-winter exponential smoothing method has better performance with a smaller error value compared to single exponential smoothing, namely 1.828%. © 2023 IEEE.

Covid-19 is a highly contagious disease. Prevention needs to be done to avoid interaction between humans. One of the preventions is checking body temperature. However, a body temperature checker with contact is very risky. Currently, IoT can be applied as a body temperature checking device using the MQTT protocol. However, the MQTT protocol is dependent on the broker, so if the broker is interrupted, it cannot publish information and customers cannot subscribe to topics so that information from censors cannot be received. To overcome this problem, a failover mechanism is needed. In this paper, we develop an Internet of Things (IoT) based automated and contactless body temperature monitoring tool using the MQTT and failover protocols. The failover method is used to support the availability of the MQTT broker. This system is based on a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller with MLX96014 contactless temperature sensor, HC-SR04 Ultrasonic sensor, and Buzzer. The monitoring system is built using Node-Red and stores data using a MySQL database. The test results show the availability of the value reaches a value of 99.96%. Meanwhile, QoS shows that a broker with failover is better than a broker without failover. © 2022 IEEE.

The Qur'an consists of 114 letters which has a total of 6,236 verses and 77,340 words which contains a lot of important information. The length of time used to obtain the expected information becomes an obstacle when the search is done manually. Therefore, it takes a search engine that can help to get that information. The problem with the search engine is that the input spelling of words is wrong, resulting in incorrect information. Levenshtein Distance algorithm can provide a solution to correct key input errors. The Levenshtein Distance algorithm is an edit distance algorithm that has three operations that are used to measure the distance between two strings. We conducted experiments to correct spellings that did not match the search keywords for the Indonesian translation of the Qur'an using the Levenshtein Distance and Nazief and Adriani Stemming algorithms. Based on Levenshtein Distance operation, 70% success in Insert operation, and 100% success in remove and replace operation while on Stemming. © 2022 IEEE.

SMPN 174 jakarta is a junior high school in East jakarta that has 719 students and 22 classrooms, including being one of the schools with government programs in the form of assistance such as Smart jakarta Card, Smart Indonesia Program, and School Operational Assistance. To meet educational needs and distribute to students who are entitled to assistance. Currently, the selection process for student beneficiaries at SMPN 174 jakarta is still done manually, so there is a risk of making decisions that are not on target and require a longer time. Therefore, a decision support system was made to select students who receive assistance. The development of the decision support system used in this research is the Multi-Objective Optimization Method on the Basic of Ratio (MOORA). The tests include black-box testing and comparison testing of calculation results with manual calculations. The Decision Support System for Selection of Student Recipients for the Impact of COVID-19 has been successfully created, and the results of selecting recipients of this assistance are obtained based on the calculation of the highest optimization value. The verifier has approved them with a percentage of 66.7% strongly agreeing and 33.3% agreeing. © 2022 IEEE.

PT. XYZ rents out assets of seven cars and five mobile phones in one month to conduct a survey. However, these movable assets have a problem, that is misappropriation of assets during the rental, which results in the company losses due to late return. Based on historical data of the company, the percentage of asset misappropriation was 24%. This problem happens because the company cannot track asset moving in real-time due to the current system that still uses the manual method in the form of an Excel application. This affects on losses due to insufficient availability of assets to be used for company operations, so the company is required to rent assets that are actually owned. This study aims to build a system utilizing two platforms, mobile and web-based applications, using the GRAPPLE research method. The mobile application is used as a tracking tool by users (asset borrowers) which will be continuously active for the delivery location with geolocation and Haversine, which is used as an asset detector according to the location of the assignment. The web-based application is used for asset monitoring, assignment data management, asset data management, and location data management. This system can determine the status of asset misappropriation, manage movable assets and provide information on the company's movable asset borrowing reports in real-time. © 2022 IEEE.

The selection of private teachers in an educational institution is a difficult problem because the process of selecting private teachers and collecting private teacher data is still using the manual method so that, it takes a very long time. For this reason, we need a system that can support the recruiter's decision in selecting new employees. This study proposes a Decision Support System for selecting private teachers using the Simple Additive Weighting algorithm. The criteria set in this system consist of price (C1), distance (C2), experience (C3), ability (C4), patience (C5), age (C6), and gender (C7). The results show that alternative A3 is the best alternative compared to the other four alternatives. © 2022 IEEE.

Attendance and performance appraisal of employees in a company have an important role because they can be used as consideration for the directors to review these employees, including PT Cakra Jasa Pacific. The performance assessment of PT Cakra Jasa Pacific is still carried out conventionally, namely by filling in the assessment sheet, so that the resulting assessment is subjective and less transparent. Attendance is one of the criteria used to assess employee performance at PT Cakra Jasa Pacific. However, attendance at PT Cakra Jasa Pacific is still manually by filling out attendance sheets. Therefore we need a system to evaluate employee performance in which there is a presence feature to reduce subjectivity in the assessment and change the attendance method so that it is not done manually. The method used as a decision support system is Profile Matching, and the system development method uses the waterfall. This system is built using the Laravel framework and MySQL database. The results of the percentage of system testing are 100% using BlackBox testing. The results of testing the profile matching method in the system run well and accurately with a precision value of 100%. © 2022 IEEE.

The development of technology in the field of internet of things (IoT) increase the development of android applications that are used to practically control IoT systems, especially in the field of monitoring. The current surveillance systems that using closed-circuit television (CCTV) are still very popular, but these systems require high costs for installation and their capabilities are not very flexible and scalable. Thus it is considered necessary to build stream and photo applications that low-cost, and more flexible. Therefore, in this study a simple remote application that utilizes video streams using Android with the help of websocket protocol on sending the command is developed. Testing is carried out to measure the performance of the developed system. The test is carried out in two stages, the first test was testing the function of the Android application and web server on raspberry pi with black box testing. The second test, performed a performance test on each feature by looking at the running time of each main software feature to see its real time capability. The low cost and flexibility of the surveillance system are achieved with the use of multi threading and with the usage of websocket making a flexibility at the level of low technical manipulation, although the stream and the device are still not responsive enough due to the encoding of the h264 data stream when it will be sent by the help of the VLC software. © 2022 IEEE.
