With the advent of 5G and the promise of 6G, edge computing is becoming increasingly important. Edge computing involves the proximity of computational resources to the devices and sensors responsible for data generation, reducing delay and improving real time data processing capabilities. EdgeX is an openly available framework designed for edge computing. that provides a platform for building IoT services and applications. In this paper, we evaluate the EdgeX open edge server for use in IoT services. We first deploy a web service application into the edge using a specific port, and then test the EdgeX server to see whether it can be used as a reliable and effective open-source edge server. Our results show that the EdgeX server is capable of supporting IoT services and can be used as an open-source edge server for a variety of applications. We conclude that EdgeX is a valuable resource for developing edge computing solutions, and that the open edge server can significantly contribute to the advancement of forthcoming IoT service innovations.

The article discusses the issue of developing computer literacy among pre-retirement aged specialists. The problem of training and retraining citizens of pre-retirement age is noted. The scientific novelty lies in describing current approaches to educating older citizens, which differ significantly from those used for younger people, and in developing an additional professional retraining program called “Computer Operator” specifically designed for pre-retirement aged specialists.

Suggested methodical system permits to determine the goals, content, forms, methods and means of training taken into account the profile of technical specialties such as “Construction”, “Operation of transport and transport-technological mechanisms and complexes” and “Software Engineering”. The structure of a distance course represents an ontotlogiya in which each element has the value of weight coefficient, communications between model elements also have weight coefficients. For an assessment of complexity presented in distance course "Machine-dependent languages" themes it was aware to use the Saati's method of the hierarchies analysis, procedure of check of expert estimates of complexity by that was also carried out. The success of the Linked Open Data Initiative has increased the amount of information available on the Web. However, the Web content published under this initiative cannot be consumed by users who are unfamiliar with Semantic Web technologies (RDF, SPARQL, Ontologies, etc.), because they need to understand the structure, provenance and the way in which data are queried, and this can be complex for non-tech-users. In this paper the process development of a Web application is described, which uses components borrowed from Information Architecture and search paradigms applied to the task of consuming Linked Data by non-tech-users. These data are available via a SPARQL endpoint (it is a SPARQL protocol service that enables users to query a knowledge base known as RDF triples database or triplestore), which can be queried through a HTTP protocol from a Web browser. This proposal allows full-text search over a bibliographic dataset and faceted search, based on representative concepts of it (facets). Using these paradigms allows us to consume Linked Data in an intuitive and friendly way, which reduces the technical barrier that limits users in this process. In addition this proposal has been tested through a complexity analysis study. This study calculates complexity metrics, by measuring usability dimensions based on user experience for executing search tasks.
