This study delves into the perception of homeowners in the Philippines regarding the utilization of Residential Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic systems (RSPVS), focusing on their intention to adopt this renewable energy technology. The research is driven by the advantageous conditions in the Philippines, including high irradiance levels, supportive solar PV policies, and decreasing system costs. Understanding prosumers' (producers and consumers) perspectives is crucial to accelerating the adoption of RSPVS, which can significantly contribute to decentralizing and greening the electrical production landscape in the country. Building on previous studies, which highlight a keen interest in solar technology among homeowners but cite high installation costs and a lack of understanding as major barriers, this research aims to shed light on the factors influencing prosumers' intentions to use RSPVS. Employing a theoretical framework combining the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), and integrating Technophilia and Perceived Risk as supplementary constructs, this study seeks to uncover the drivers and inhibitors of RSPVS adoption. The study employs an online questionnaire distributed in key cities where Residential RSPVS is available, with a sample size of 239 respondents. The data collected are analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine the relationships between variables and to test the hypothesized model. The results indicate that factors such as Technophilia, Price Value, and Social Influence are significant determinants of prosumers' intent to adopt RSPVS. Notably, Technophilia, reflecting enthusiasm for new technology, emerged as a key factor, suggesting that prosumers are motivated by the allure of solar energy. Developing a smart grid is a trend nowadays and an indispensable basic necessity of life. In recent years, the electricity demand has risen rapidly due to economic development and quality of life improvement. The power grid in significant cities is unstable due to old equipment, and power outages occur frequently. The smart grid can adjust the grid’s distribution strategy through the consumer’s real-time electricity demand so that the consumer’s electricity consumption data is always transmitted to the grid. Failure to protect the privacy and security of such information will expose consumers’ habits and even make the grid unnecessarily wasteful. The smart grid’s abnormality detection efficiency determines the overall grid’s stability. Failure to detect anomalies or power theft in the grid promptly will not only lead to the selection of the wrong distribution strategy for the smart grid but also reduce the transmission efficiency of the grid. This research ensures the privacy and security of transmitted data to enhance the efficiency of abnormality detection in the smart grid. To date, the study model of IT value usually takes the form of a serial construction relating its components. This paper tries to offer a parallel construction in modeling the IT value study. The applied methodology is the design-science research approach to create the construction relating its components. To perfect the construct, the paper applies the partial adjustment valuation that functions as an estimating technique to approximate and evaluate the mathematical magnitude of the performing returns of a component compared to the real figures. The developed pattern undertakes a case study with Mandiri's data, an Indonesian state-owned banking industry, shows that the estimated revenue of the parallel configuration has a deviation of only 0.28% when compared with the bank's real revenue during the period 2004-2014. Thus, the parallel configuration may appear as the alternative configuration in the study of IT value as a result of its authenticity academically as well as pragmatically.

Humans rely increasingly on sensors to address grand challenges and to improve quality of life in the era of digitalization and big data. For ubiquitous sensing, flexible sensors are developed to overcome the limitations of conventional rigid counterparts. Despite rapid advancement in bench-side research over the last decade, the market adoption of flexible sensors remains limited. To ease and to expedite their deployment, here, we identify bottlenecks hindering the maturation of flexible sensors and propose promising solutions. We first analyze continued...challenges in achieving satisfactory sensing performance for real-world applications and then summarize issues in compatible sensor-biology interfaces, followed by brief discussions on powering and connecting sensor networks. Issues en route to commercialization and for sustainable growth of the sector are also analyzed, highlighting environmental concerns and emphasizing nontechnical issues such as business, regulatory, and ethical considerations. Additionally, we look at future intelligent flexible sensors. In proposing a comprehensive roadmap, we hope to steer research efforts towards common goals and to guide coordinated development strategies from disparate communities. Through such collaborative

This research presents the development and evaluation of a breath alcohol measurement device utilizing the MQ-3 alcohol sensor and an Arduino Nano-based control system. The primary objective was to design an accurate and reliable system for detecting breath alcohol concentration, with real-time feedback provided through an OLED display and an active buzzer for alerts. The device operates by measuring the alcohol concentration in the breath and converting the sensor data into parts per million (ppm). When the alcohol concentration exceeds the predefined threshold of 5% ABV, the system activates an audible alarm via the buzzer and displays the corresponding ppm value on the OLED screen. A series of tests were conducted with eight volunteers who consumed varying amounts of alcohol. The results demonstrated the system's high accuracy and responsiveness, with the ability to detect alcohol concentrations ranging from safe levels to dangerous thresholds. The device was tested multiple times to ensure consistency and minimize errors, with the final results confirming its effectiveness in providing reliable alcohol measurements. This system holds significant potential for applications in monitoring alcohol levels in drivers and individuals involved in safety-critical activities. The research underscores the importance of real-time alcohol detection systems in enhancing public safety and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

The Massification of remote work, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, has been causing significant changes in productive and working arrangements, both for individuals, organizations, and society. At the level of personal life philosophy, for example, this transformation can be evidenced in the dissemination of digital nomadism values such as work/leisure balance among corporate workers. On the other hand, at the level of gig/crowd work platforms, the emergence of tensions may indicate the exhaustion of sociotechnical design models adopted by big techs. We show how evidence collected from digital nomads in empirical ethnography studies can inform HCI/CSCWD researchers of design-oriented strands to explore emerging opportunities in new creative digital crypto-economic ecosystems. Finally, we present a proposed research agenda to explore DNs’ activities in the crypto-economic ecosystem.

This paper explores the challenges and strategies used to design, build and evaluate a collective intelligence (CI) model to support discussions about cities. Through an autoethnography of ideas and discussion practices in both online and offline contexts, this work explores the tensions between the chosen methodological approaches, including design science research (DSR) and participatory action research (PAR). Moreover, we also examine the challenges and pitfalls observed during the practical conduction of this research when involving participants in the process of empirically evaluating the proposed model. Finally, aspects related to the autoethnographic process itself as a reflective method are discussed alongside the consequences of desiring and seeking participation in the research process.

Depressive Disorders (DD) is one of the most prevalent mental disorders in the world that may lead to suicide cases. To prevent the latter, ubiquitous early detection systems may be effective. Recent studies have since researched the development of such systems by exploiting several forms of data, including video, audio, Ecological Momentary Assessments (EMA), and passive sensing data using sensors embedded in mobile devices. To summarize the trends, opportunities, and existing challenges in this field, this study reviewed 15 papers to answer four research questions. EMA was the most popular data to be used in this task, but other approaches, such as using video, audio, and typing behaviors, may be considered due to the subjectivity of EMA. These data were typically recorded using smartphones and analyzed using Machine Learning (ML). However, most of the developed systems had yet to be implemented. Overall, it was concluded that further studies may need to explore usages of more objective data in multimodal approaches as well as consider using Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) to deploy these systems to provide more effective and efficient diagnoses. Future studies must also take into account the existing challenges of the data and infrastructures, such as the weaknesses of several data types, limitations of mobile devices, as well as the challenges of diagnosis approaches.

Attacks on web applications are constantly growing in both frequency and severity. Abundant data on the internet stimulates hackers to attempt different types of cyberattacks. Attack detection using conventional approaches and outdated data processing techniques has become outmoded as a result of this development. The purpose of this study is to investigate IoT attacks and discuss the efficient ML technique implementation strategies for restricting security risks. Among different security techniques, Machine learning (ML) systems demonstrated commendable feasibility in improving network and device security for the Internet of Things. The study with contextual research recognises and comprehends that modified “Support Vector Machine (SVM)” as well as “Random Forest (RF)” ML techniques showed optimal performance in IoT attack detection and prevention.

Humanity has battled tuberculosis for all of recorded history. Some studies estimate that Mycobacterium tuberculosis may have been around as long as 3 million years but it was only in 1834 when Johann Schonlein officially presented the characteristics of it. Even though the TB epidemic has touched all corners of the world, Africa and Asia are the regions that currently suffer the worst consequences. The purpose of this study is to construct a model within the eVision forecasting environment, capable of forecasting the trend of Tuberculosis cases in India, as India is the country that accounts for the largest percentage of TB cases and deaths worldwide. And being able to make predictions for India may also lead to successful results for other regions in Asia and Africa. In order to do so, this study presents different test cases that show the effectiveness of the model, varying the number of steps for each one of the data sets created. It's important to note, that these data sets are combinations of data gathered from the states with the most TB cases in India in the last years, as well as the total data for India, and supplemental data from Google Trends, as a way to facilitate the machine learning model. Even though the final results were respectable compared to past research done on India and other countries, the model nevertheless has a limitation on the number of weeks ahead which the predictions are still considered to be good; with 7 weeks being the optimal result.
