The purpose of this paper is to investigate the factors affecting the passenger traffic volume on the high-capacity MRT, to analyze the traffic volume trends, and to make traffic volume predictions more accurately. This paper uses the LSTM (Long Short-term Memory) model and regression analysis for Taipei MRT passenger traffic volume prediction. The training data, including dates, temperatures and number of passengers, were collected, and a regression analysis was performed to find trends in the data.

Radiological examination of the head bone is an integral part in the management of patients suffering from head trauma. This is because X-ray of the head bone is still quite significant in diagnosing fractures of the head bone. X-ray examination of cases of injury to the facial bones required two times the examination of the lateral head of high and low intensity x-ray to produce different image information due to heterogeneity of the head bone. At this time there is no method to improve image quality by combining the two images. in this study a method of improving image quality with fusion on high-low lateral head bone radiographs is proposed. This research is an experimental study to compare two variables measured from unequal (free) samples, where the group that is compared is more than two, namely the quality of lateral images of high intensity head, low intensity and fusion. Image quality assessment is done using a histogram which is then analysed using the Friedman test. The results showed that the average gray level on the highest histogram was sequentially at high intensity, fusion and finally at low intensity. The statistical test results obtained p value 0.007 which means that there are differences in the quality of lateral head images at high intensities, low intensities and fusion. Fusion image quality obtained grey level values that are between high and low intensity images, this illustrates that using of image fusion is able to provide more complete image information. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Drying has been an eco-friendly and cost-efficient method to reduce post-harvest losses of agricultural crops. In various countries, the technique has been widely utilized in the form of Solar Dryer Dome (SDD) buildings. Accurate indoor microclimate forecasting is very important to implement smart control systems in SDDs that can maintain the ideal conditions, as the availability of solar energy is limited only at daytimes and the temperature may drop significantly during nighttimes in remote areas. The microclimate variables that play an important role in maintaining ideal environmental conditions include temperature and relative humidity. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this paper, an approach to aid in introductory programming courses is presented, focused on students that had never had any contact with computer programming. The approach, that was introduced in a previous paper [3], presents programming concepts using icons and “flowcharts”, and a 3D robotics simulator (CoppeliaSim), that has free educational use. This time, a real version of the simulated robot, built using Arduino and cheap, easily obtainable electronic components, is also presented. The programs to control the robot are developed by graphically constructing flowcharts on the visual editor, and then following the execution of programs using the simulated (or real) robot, step by step. This graphic program editor is named “FluxProg”, and its 2nd version is now available online, with new features comprising variables, arithmetic and logic expressions, thus providing a complete programming environment.

Complaint resolution that arise due to internal and external factors in a company can be monitored through the Service Recovery Index (SRI), and SRI is developed through a number of factors that influence it. Meanwhile, the SRI model needs to be developed to see the business sustainability through implementation knowledge management system in the organization. The data collection method was carried out, starting with building a research instrument based on knowledge management theory and continued with observation and distributing questionnaires to respondents who were involved in the business process of managing SRI. The data analysis method was used to process the data from the questionnaire, factor analysis method was used and the method to build the model used was the regression analysis method. The results obtained from this study are the discovery of 4 (four) factors with a number of indicators that are grouped on each formed factor, which can then be made and built a readiness model that reflects current conditions, so that it can be used to build predictions in the future related to readiness. implementation of knowledge management system development in order to support increased understanding of the service recovery index in the organization.

Federated Learning (FL) is a suitable solution for making use of sensitive data belonging to patients, people, companies, or industries that are obligatory to work under rigid privacy constraints. FL mainly or partially supports data privacy and security issues and provides an alternative to model problems facilitating multiple edge devices or organizations to contribute a training of a global model using a number of local data without having them. Non-IID data of FL caused from its distributed nature presents a significant performance degradation and stabilization skews. This paper introduces a novel method dynamically balancing the data distributions of clients by augmenting images to address the non-IID data problem of FL. The introduced method remarkably stabilizes the model training and improves the model’s test accuracy from 83.22% to 89.43% for multi-chest diseases detection of chest X-ray images in highly non-IID FL setting. The results of IID, non-IID and non-IID with proposed method federated trainings demonstrated that the proposed method might help to encourage organizations or researchers in developing better systems to get values from data with respect to data privacy not only for healthcare but also other fields. Comparison and validation of canopy reflectance(CR)models are two important steps to ensure their *** forest plantations are an ideal type of forest for validating CR models because of their simple background and the low variance in the crown structures which are usually assumed to be identical in most CR models.A Geometric Optical Model for Forest Plantations(GOFP)was compared using dataset in two radiation transfer model intercomparison exercise(RAMI)stands and validated using in situ dataset of detailed optical and structural data of two forest plantations in the Saihanba Forestry Center,*** results show that(1)the tree distributions in stands described by the hypergeometric model in GOFP show good consistencies with the dataset in the two RAMI stands and measurements from the two Saihanba forest stands;and(2)the CRs simulated with GOFP are also compared well in the two RAMI stands and validated with measurements collected with unmanned aerial vehicles in the two Saihanba *** shows a better consistency with the CR measurements than those from CR models for natual forestsbecause the tree distribution in forest plantations is described more reasonably in GOFP.

Objective: Extraction of the third molar of the mandible is one of the most common oral surgical procedures. Preoperative monitoring and assessment are crucial to mitigate neurological risks. Identifying whether the third molar in the mandible compresses the inferior alveolar nerve still relies on dental professionals, a task that is repetitive and time-consuming. Thus, the primary objective is to utilize dental panoramic radiography for image processing and classify whether the third molar compresses the inferior alveolar nerve, aiming to reduce the demand for CT images in symptom diagnosis and mitigate the risks associated with high-dose radiation. Technology or Method: This study proposes an innovative dental panoramic radiography segmentation technique to locate the third molar position. Subsequently, an innovative edge masking enhancement method is used to extract features of the inferior alveolar nerve and the third molar. Moreover, a transformer-based image detection model to consider whether the third molar compresses the inferior alveolar nerve. Results: The third molar position localization method achieved an accuracy rate of 97.92%, compared to recent research at least improved by 3.6% accuracy. Subsequently, innovative edge masking and image enhancement methods improve classification accuracy by 4.3%, when supplemented with computed tomography scan images for further evaluation, the maximum accuracy reached 98.45%, representing a 4.5% improvement compared to previous studies. Conclusions: The third molar position detection results will impact the identification of the inferior alveolar nerve compressed by the third molar. Through the innovative edge region segmentation algorithm can effectively distinguish this object, and the overall evaluation accuracy can be improved by approximately 3.8%. © 2013 IEEE.

Deployment of scarce resources is a critical issue for especially large-scale outbreaks of infectious diseases. During the COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare providers are facing the challenges of significant shortages of limited resources such as testing, personal protective equipment (PPE), hospital beds, ICU s, medications and ventilators because of the dramatic increase in the number of patients. Therefore, in this study, we develop “a general smart resource allocation advisor in the cloud” that determines the smart allocation of the scarce resources with respect to the pandemic severity level, from low to very severe, to mitigate and control the spread of the disease. Portfolio model of cost-benefit analysis is used to identify the low cost-high benefit allocations of the resources to focus on more and high cost-low benefit allocations to avoid as well. Therefore, this model provides healthcare providers useful insights about their resource allocations to be more responsive to their patients and control the transmission of the virus.
