In this study, two-finger grasping based on plastic deformation control for human-robot interaction is designed and implemented. This control strategy is derived based on the concept that balances both retention of grasping force on objects and plastic behavior in response to external forces. The control law consists of a set of constraints and offsets with respect to the springs that appear in the Maxwell model. In particular, the inner loop that is robust against parameter errors is implemented for actual machine experiments. Simulation and actual experiments with a robotic hand are executed to validate the proposed control law.

In the era of the global village, frequent cross-border trade in goods has made container transportation a significant part in delivery of cargo. However, rollover accidents of container trucks often occur because of tall truck height, improper cargo stowage or crooked roads. Therefore, how to find the optimal center of gravity (CG) of the packed cargo remains an issue that the transportation industry should not neglect. To optimize cargo stability and reduce the incidence of rollovers, this paper proposes a genetic algorithm that scores the cargo stacking process to find the best CG of the cargo based on the CG of the vehicle. According to the deviation angle and the point closest to the best CG, we can Figure out the optimal cargo stacking method. © 2022 IEEE.

This study embarked on a rigorous examination of the factors driving user satisfaction and usage behavior in the context of telehealth applications. Utilizing a well- structured Google Form survey, distributed through an array of social media platforms, including WhatsApp, Discord, Instagram, and Line, the research gathered 251 responses. The purposive sampling technique was employed to ensure that the data captured the experiences of individuals who had actively engaged with telehealth services. One hypothesis, relating to the influence of Online Reviews, was found to be unsupported. This surprising result suggests that, contrary to expectations, the opinions and reviews shared online do not significantly affect users’ satisfaction or their behavioral decisions in the context of telehealth applications. This finding highlights the need for a more nuanced understanding of the factors influencing user preferences and choices in this rapidly evolving sector. Conversely, other hypotheses examining factors such as Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Perceived Reliability, Price Value, and Purchase Intention were substantiated. The positive influence of these factors on customer usage behavior underscores their significance in shaping user experiences and satisfaction within the telehealth ecosystem. Furthermore, the study posits that facilitating conditions should be closely aligned with technological advancements, as this alignment is conducive to the development of enhanced application features. This insight suggests that telehealth providers should continuously innovate and integrate advanced technologies to ensure that the facilitating conditions meet the ever-evolving needs and expectations of users.

As it starts at the end of the year 2019, the Covid-19 pandemic has already disturbed the condition of human life, socio-culture, and economics globally. As the virus is spreading from human to human, the need for a respirator mask is critical. One very well-known respirator mask is N95. The huge demand and high price of the N95 respirator effect create a bogus mask. This study proposes using blockchain in a global implementation of supply chain management of N95 respirator supply chain activity. Blockchain systems may help to reduce people's worldwide anxiety about the spread of N95 respirator counterfeits. The method used in this research is a systematic literature review and proposing a blockchain framework base on blockchain components. The implementation can use RFID at the level of manufacturers, distributors, and sellers. Using QR code or RFID stickers are possible in the level of customers or buyers. The result of this research is a proposal of blockchain technology for N95 respirator supply chain management systems, N95 respirator supply chain activities workflow, and a use case diagram. © 2021 IEEE.

Diagnosis is a crucial subject for maintaining the reliability of multiprocessor systems. Under the MM⁎ diagnosis model, Sengupta and Dahbura proposed a polynomial-time algorithm with time complexity O(N5) to diagnose a system with N processors. In this paper, we propose a (α,β)-trees combination S(u,X,α,β) and give an algorithm to identify the fault or fault-free status of each processor for conditional local diagnosis under the MM⁎ model. According to our results, a connected network with a (α,β)-trees combination S(u,X,α,β) for a node u is conditionally locally (α+2β−3)-diagnosable at node u and the time complexity of our algorithm to diagnose u is O(α2β+αβ2). As an application, we show that our algorithm can identify the status of each node of n-dimensional star graph Sn if the faulty node number does not exceed 3n−8. Compared with existing algorithms, our algorithm allows more faulty nodes in a multiprocessor system. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.

In today’s complex global environments, it is highly challenging to achieve effective healthcare management. The critical challenges faced by healthcare management are being met by the revolution of m-health where mobile cloud computing plays a major role. The taxonomy of mobile computing comprises operational aspects, end-user issues, and service quality and mobility management. The use of smartphone technologies and applications has become a highly significant approach to improving healthcare management. Mobile health services such as mobile pathology, mobile neurosurgery, cancer treatment, and behavioral/psychological disorders are gaining significance where smartphone applications are being used. Portability, flexibility, and convenience are major characteristics of mobile computing that have helped patients and doctors to develop better relationships through coordination and communication. The relationship between smartphone technologies and applications and healthcare management can be understood in several broad aspects. This article aims to analyze the current and future implications of these technologies on healthcare and disease management systems.

Multimodal deepfakes involving audiovisual manipulations are a growing threat because they are difficult to detect with the naked eye or using unimodal deep learning-based forgery detection methods. Audiovisual forensic models, while more capable than unimodal models, require large training datasets and are computationally expensive for training and inference. Furthermore, these models lack interpretability and often do not generalize well to unseen manipulations. In this study, we examine the detection capabilities of a large language model (LLM) (i.e., ChatGPT) to identify and account for any possible visual and auditory artifacts and manipulations in audiovisual deepfake content. Extensive experiments are conducted on videos from a benchmark multimodal deepfake dataset to evaluate the detection performance of ChatGPT and compare it with the detection capabilities of state-of-the-art multimodal forensic models and humans. Experimental results demonstrate the importance of domain knowledge and prompt engineering for video forgery detection tasks using LLMs. Unlike approaches based on end-to-end learning, ChatGPT can account for spatial and spatiotemporal artifacts and inconsistencies that may exist within or across modalities. Citrus Limon L. (Lemon) is a type of fruit that is currently widely consumed, because it contains abundant vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants. This fruit have high potential in the agribusiness sector and is widely cultivated by traditional farmers. However, during harvest time, traditional farmers generally still use manual methods using the human eye in distinguishing the maturity level of lemons which is less efficient because it has a low accuracy. Digital image processing is one solution to this problem. In the research on the classification of lemon maturity levels using digital image processing with the feature extraction method of the Mean RGB, HSV, and LBP methods and the K-Nearest Neighbor classification algorithm in this study, a total of 120 lemon images were used which were divided into 80 training image data and 40 image data. testing. The results of model performance measurements in the form of the highest accuracy level in the Mean RGB method of 100%, the highest accuracy in the HSV method of 98%, and the highest accuracy in the LBP method of 82.5%.

Physician scheduling is a critical task that impacts the quality of patient care, staff satisfaction, and operational efficiency in healthcare institutions. The traditional approach to physician scheduling is manual and time-consuming, which can result in errors, staff burnout, and suboptimal schedules. To address these challenges, researchers have turned to optimization techniques like CSP, which has shown promise in solving physician scheduling problems. This paper reviews the existing literature on CSP for physician scheduling and highlights the benefits and limitations of this approach. CSP's benefits include generating schedules quickly and efficiently, incorporating complex constraints and preferences, and handling changes and disruptions in real time. However, CSP also has some limitations, such as the need for a formalized model and the fact that it may not always generate the most intuitive schedules. Overall, the findings suggest that CSP is a promising approach to physician scheduling that can produce high-quality schedules while minimizing staff burnout and improving operational efficiency.

This Participatory Action Design Research (PADR) study explores how persuasive technologies and the Internet of Things (IoT) can be used to encourage participation in recycling activities. By involving primary school students in the design process of a sociotechnical solution through participatory methods, we aim to create intelligent and persuasive applications that effectively promote sustainable behaviors in the school environment. To address the objectives of this investigation, the PADR methodology was adapted to the context of persuasive technologies by incorporating some critical activities, such as defining target behaviors. We argue that applying a participatory action design research approach involving users in all the stages of the design process of persuasive technologies for sustainability can lead to engaging and intuitive solutions tailored to the specific needs of users in real-world contexts.
